Thanks Russ for all your hard work. I think you saved me a few bucks on fuel as some places I would go others maybe not. I did go down to Salmon ID for a week and camped on the river at BLM campsite and boy you are right great place and not packed with people. Hope to catch up in Quartsite!

Loved every single episode Russ. Love your laid back style and easy going narrative to complement you great films. Just wish they were a bit longer but eh-ho we can't have it all. I definately have been inspired to come back from the UK.

Good to hear all your likes and difficulties on the trip. I agree about the headroom and the locked in feeling during bad weather. Exact reason I went with the cargo trailer conversion behind a 4 door pickup. I had fun riding along with you and seeing the new things going on along the trip. I'll get my laundry done and be ready when your ready to leave. 8-) Happy trails.

Russ it would get to claustrophobic especially when it rained. But all in all I think you survived just fine. Loved the magnificent footage and every day looked forward to your video. Thank you so much and your instincts of finding incredible paces to go. Looking forward to your next adventures. Take care.

Yep, campgrounds, national forests, is it for me too. Wal-Mart is a NO.....Costco isn't bad and Cracker Barrel isn't bad if you HAVE to. Lots of free camping or very cheap camping out there. Im leaving on the 1st for Mt. Rushmore and points west. I have a gmc envoy suv that I have a build out in, but I also have a suv two room tent that attaches to the open hatch. I love it!! I'm trailing off to sleep with your story telling voice. Night Russ!

Thanks Russ, watched a lot of your videos, will watch more. Agree with you on the van, being 6 foot tall, it would be very cramped. Fiberine makes a topper for vans that would give some added head space. Saw one in Quartzite last winter. Another option would be the taller Ford Transit vans or Ram vans with the high ceiling, saw those in Quartzite also. It was great to follow you on your journey!

I think I saw all your episodes. Thanks for the journey. A lot of people have been having mouse problems making nests and chewing wires. Probably should check for that.

Have you given up on traveling in your trailer? I know having the trailer on this summer trip would have been more costly and more difficult to find overnights, but will you still travel with the trailer?

Great series, loved it. BUT...you wouldn't (I doubt) do that in the UK. Fuel is twice the price. Camping pitches expensive. Road Tax (just to keep a vehicle on the road) is based partly on MPG / polution levels, so maybe $400 a year. Insurance about the same.

I don't like Walmart. Rather be at home. My gripe with the public campgrounds, mostly the Feds, is that 10-15 years ago they started closing them early. A nice place like Red Canyon, near Bryce, is done in September. I didn't know Harvest can be someone's driveway. The buy-a-bottle wouldn't work for me. The thing I noticed in the vids is that families don't really camp along the rivers, the BLM camps, etc. I guess it's just not interesting enough. So much of Idaho was just empty at the peak travel time.
