Instructions as they came with the package :
Plug and Play no soldering required.
Only requires screwdrivers to complete the installation.
Whats included ?
1x New Blue LCD display part
1x Double Sided tape strip
1x Black electrical tape strip
How to install:
Unplug the power supply
Open the unit by removing the top cover
Locate the LCD on the front panel
Remove the front cover panel
Unplug the LCD cable from the mainboard, make note of the orientation of the cable
Remove the screws holding the LCD in place
Carefully remove the LCD bezel cover from the LCD it is held in place with double sided tape
Once the old LCD has been removed, place the new one in its place in the same orientation
Mount the LCD in place using the screws that were removed
Plug the new LCD cable into the mainboard making sure it is in the same orientation as it was originally
Put the front panel back in place and mount the LCD bezel cover to the new LCD
There are small thin gaps between the bezel cover and metal front panel these gaps may leak light from this LCD part
Use the included black electrical tape to cover these light leaks
Cut the tape in half and place on each side of the LCD part itself to prevent light leaks showing through the gaps in the front panel
Put the case back together
You may want to test it before screwing the case back together, just to double check that it powers up and was installed correctly
If the contrast needs adjusted,
on the JV-880 press the System button and navigate to the Display Contrast setting and adjust as needed
on the U-220 press the EDIT button and enter Setup then enter LCD and adjust the Contrast setting as needed
Screw it all back together, you're done
