DIY HOW TO (EASILY) PROGRAM NISSAN VERSA NOTE REPLACEMENT CAR KEYS KEY FOB

In this video I will show you how to program a replacement key for the Nissan Versa (Note) which has the all in one key fob with the key built in and without a transponder chip in the key. Because there is no chip in this particular key you are able to DIY program the key using your existing original car key to initiate the process. The vehicle in this video is a 2015. @@TheMissluv2laugh Thank you this gives me hope. I found a 2017 for my teen at a good price but it only has 1 key. I can purchase another one off of amazon and Ace hardware would cut it for 7.00 for me. I was just confused on if it needed to be programmed or not

The Versa and Versa Note should have them located in the same position. Key can be cut at a locksmith and you can program it yourself. The cost should be no more than cutting a regular house door key. Thanks and please subscribe.

1. Put original key in 5-8 times
2. Blinker comes in
3. Put original key in again
4. Turn the key half rotation
5. Manually lock the door
6. Lock with new key
7. Take the original key out
8. Open close the door
Try the new key

Hey, this is really cool. I think this is what I needed. I bought the car use, it's a 2017 versa note SV. The key it came with doesn't have a key fob on it. It's just a regular metal key, no plastic on it or anything. I'm assuming that means it doesn't have a transponder, and I'm also hoping that means I should be able to use it to program a key fob by putting it in five or six times.
I'll do a little more research about the years and the model and make sure this is gonna work, but I think it's worth a try! Thanks man, that may have save me a big chunk of money!

Good. I hope it works out for you. The dealership may charge you upwards of $150-250 to do this exact thing. A locksmith may have the key/keyfob in stock (mine did). But the cost was far higher than buying the key and having them simply cut it for the price of a normal door key. Hope you are successful.

Yes, absolutely. You will need to have the key cut by a lock smith to match original key(s). Or you can unscrew the old key from the fob and screw it into the new fob. Thanks and please subscribe.

Yes, if your car is equipped with remote keyless entry then this should work.
