My problem was the actual white plastic collar broke and tie-wraps would not hold it together. I did however use a 1 3/8 hose clamp, cut a notch for the cable to slip under it and seat black arm on the teeth. Very solid now. Thanks for steering me in the direction.

1/2 way through tearing out my dash board for a possible heater core replacement. I'm smelling coolant from my vents & the temp guage stays overheating. I've replaced my thermostat, water pump, & coolant temp sensor. Anyone have any knowledgeable input before I buy a new heater core?
