He went from zero to 60 then back down to zero again real smoothly when he asked if Chris really believed Michael was snitching. Shows his calculating nature.
It's pathetic that this yt channel just straight up downloads and copies this entire video from Blavity done four years ago. ua-cam.com/video/y78bL56x2H0/v-deo.html
The Sopranos was a warm up. Maybe. But it appealed to the common intalian-american mafia fantasy, so it was popular. As far as quality of writing and character development goes sopranos wasn't even in The Wire's league..@@neocatgoddess
Jamie supports the church I attend. And Jamie was excellent on Bosch. He really has good management to go from the Wire to a LA Detective and family man. Bro keep up the great work!
My friend was a huge hip hop head and wanted to go see How High at the theater. I knew of Wu-Tang but wasn't a hip hop fan and Method Man was simply "that dude I saw in Cop Land." My friend offered to smoke me up before the movie and I had nothing to do so why not! The only times I've laughed that much in the theater was at Half Baked and the first Borat movie. I went out and bought 36 Chambers and Tical on my friend's recommendation the next day after watching How High because Method Man was so hilarious and cool in that movie. Redman was equally hilarious, too. The Wire is when I realized he could play dramatic roles as well.
Mr Hector, thank you for years of joy. Best show ever. I loved you on the WIRE. You are an amazing actor (Also on other shows like We own this city) Man you had me scared at points on the WIRE. Man. Awesome.
For most of the series, I didn't understand why or how Marko achieved his level of status and control. THIS LINE opened my eyes. When that bass in his voice dropped, it made perfect sense.
"I'm not even Greek!" Totally different worlds with totally different potential problems and potential enemies. On the streets, your name is what carries weight beyond your actions and deeds and we saw it multiple times throughout the series. When you're an international crime syndicate, the only people looking for you are government agencies and you definitely don't want your name ringing out lol.
He's great on Bosch. Totally different character and role, a homicide detective and a family man, and he gets a lot of good screen time as the partner of the titular character.
The levels of that convo was so deep. Omar and Avon had Marlo figured out even though they barely knew him. That’s why Omar was going around calling Marlo out directly cause he knew Marlo was the kinda guy who would’ve shown his face in the street if he knew his rep was being attacked. Them u add how envious Marlo was of Avon cause even though he was locked up he called him by his name is this video cause he knew Barksdale and Omar had the biggest reps in the street and was respected and he hadn’t reached that level of notoriety yet. That’s all Marlo wanted in the end and never got
Marlo and brother monzon are my absolute two favorite TV characters of all time hands down...Marlo was Jamie's best role, he was so good for a long time I genuinely believed he was Marlo I'm real life the kingpin
I always felt like the character Marlo was lacking charisma til I thought about all the mfs I knew coming up who were heavies like that and they didn’t have any emotion so he’s perfect for the role
I was in a hotel in Cleveland. I'm getting ready to get off the elevator. I was a lil tipsy, the doors open and this dude is on the other side.im like wtf! In my mind I don't even hustle anymore!( sobered up real quick)😂😂😂 .the I realized fool this ain't TV. Had a brief conversation shook his hand and was on my way. Cool guy.
What always tripped me out was marlo was so damn careful didn't trust anyone until prop joe tried civilizing the mf'er but he was always so careful and paranoid but when he saw herc in levy's office he never questioned it and when he ended up locked up shortly after he never could figure out that it was herc who gave everything up
For me……his eyes when Prop Joe was shot and killed. If i had one thin dime for every time i reminded that scene there would be no money left in the world. SexySexySexy geeeeeeeeeez😍😍😍😍
That was the only time Marlo raised his voice the whole series so you felt it
He was perfectly cast. He really understood Marlo. He became Marlo. One of the all-time best villains.
Would like to see his work and versatility post Wire
@@aa-.-477 ME TOO!
The wire aint got no villans, only perspectives
I freaking hated Marlo which means this dude is damn good actor.
That’s exactly how I felt about Schillinger from OZ.
J.K. Simmons made me hate his MF ass especially as a black man.
Damn good actor!!
Word Yo. I hated Marlo.
I loved Marlo
@@DoloGomez Why??
@@pan8a Marlo was the coldest on the show. He stayed true to his lifestyle. Would've been nice for the show to tell his history more.
This was legit the scariest scene in The Wire for me. The fact that even a stone cold killer like Chris was getting nervous...😮
He went from zero to 60 then back down to zero again real smoothly when he asked if Chris really believed Michael was snitching. Shows his calculating nature.

The Wire is the greatest TV series EVER ! and Marlo was one of my favorite characters. Perfectly executed thespian work 🔥🔥. Salute 🫡.

It's a shame he's not in more stuff he's a truly great presence on screen
He was fantastic on Bosch as well and the sole reason I even checked out the show.
Marlo aged very gracefully
Dude is still in character
Bro, he seems exactly like Marlo even in this interview lol
😂😂
Marlo was one of my favorite characters,he was willing to neutralize the problem before it became one.
Look here Boe.. I’m an ole country boy from Georgia. You absolutely had me scared to go to the city when I was younger 😂😂😂
I liked this, but as country boi myself, I know u being sarcastic.. 🥷🏿 we hunt at nite, we aint scared of 💩😎
Method man been acting forever no wonder he’s so good in power

“My name is my name!!” 😂💯
Such a great performance. His voice gets so thick with anger when he says “my name is my NAME!” Goosebumps
thick with anger, but also just a hint of desperation - he finally sees what he fears the most coming true
" You want it to be one way, but it's the other way" 🍭
The fact that I say this to my children 😂
He reminds me of fifty with his speech and mannerisms
He is also from NY
Exactly what I got off of him bro 😂😂

Proper respects for Jamie, you breathed life into this character.
He took the show to next level I like how they got people from new York undercover to do the wire
him cris and snoop gave me nightmares
Wire was amazing. Hector was outstanding.
So interesting this is one of the rare times Marlo lost his cool.
Would like to see his work and versatility post Wire
Marlo still gives me nightmares😳
Lil Ze from City of God, was worse.
For most of the series, I didn't understand why or how Marko achieved his level of status and control.

Contrast that with Spiros "He knows my name, but my name isn not my name".

He played the hell out of this role.
I still remember him from his role on Power as well
Keep these coming plz! Upload more WIRE stuff please! 🙏
ok
Marlo need to come back wit his own series
FACTS lol
The wire , DeadWood, and Peaky Blinders are my favorite series ever. If you never seen Deadwood watch it on HBO series. DOPE
Man, you were such a good actor, to the point that it’s hard to just see you as a normal person and NOT Marlo.
Why hasn't this brother got more acting roles? He kilt his role.
He does/did
He was in this show called Queen of the South . Kinda similar to Marlo
He’s been on Bosch the last few years as a cop. It messes with me every time I watch it lmao
He's great on Bosch. Totally different character and role, a homicide detective and a family man, and he gets a lot of good screen time as the partner of the titular character.

Marlo was a tough guy,..... hiding behind Chris
Marlo got active also n chris n snoop was his loyal soldiers.....
Naw marlo was a real psychopath. He had a black spot where his heart is supposed to be
Imagine how tough Marlo had to be t have Chris that loyal to him
@@BeyoAuto exactly 💯
Nah you see how nervous Chris got when Marlo started to snap. Marlo the head for a reason. He’s smarter and more ruthless.
Gotta put this scene up there with Daniel Day Lewis' "Leave me my name" scene from The Crucible

They couldn’t have chosen a better actor to play Marlo. And it’s almost like he ain’t really acting. THATS HIM foreal!!
Was really upset we didn’t get more Marlo! They could and should have done the Wire like CSI . They could film in every city.
I'm Barksdale fan Avon ran that shit out of all movie gang wars the BARKSDALE/STANFIELD fued is definitely the realest n sickest
😂 If I was Monk or Chris I would always troll Marlo…”Yeah Bodie say he gon slap tf out you” “Barksdale thinks you sweet” etc etc

When an actor makes you hate the character, that means they are doing the damn thing.
The real Timmirror Stansfield made the news in Baltimore for killing another dealer for not showing him respect

Whose more evil, Marlo Stanfield, or Lil Ze from City of God? The answer is yes. 😂
Probably Ze fr, dude was chaotic evil since he was jit
@@Dio_Corleone That's a tough one though. Both are vile. They would have done business though, then become enemies.
