Cool! This crossing sounds like the Chestnut Ave railroad crossing here in Santa Ana but the Safetran Mechanical bell was replace by a GS e bell for some reason. "
+Freedomtowerman Productions Room of money is always a problem. Here they have plans to lower the tracks, to get rid of some crossings, but there is no money for it. It is a very busy line with 10-12 trains per hour. The road under the tracks is almost impossible because of the small / short streets.
It's so weird how there's a big sign that says "Do Not Cross Tracks When Gates are Down" yet there are no gates at the crossing. The solution to this weirdness: PUT UP GATES!
Joseph Runner I know what you mean. NJ Transit puts these signs at all of their pedestrain crossing, no matter what it has signal wise I agree this crossing needs gates.
Awesome bell combos!
LOL about the sign!
Nice meet too!
3:20 lol, look at the warning sign. "Do Not Cross Tracks When The Gates Are Down".
Guess I can cross anytime then...lol
+MegaZsolti Pretty much so. They put these signs at all the crossings, gates or not
I like how the sign references the gates, which don't exist!

Bell combo reminds me of what Sterling Ave in Independence would've sounded like before 2011.
Well I never see these rail road ding dings at sidewalk crossings. this is cute. xD love it.
And there's a sign that says, "Do not cross tracks when gates are down" Uhh, what gates?
iamobsessedwithclocks NJ Transit puts these signs at all of their pedestrian crossing, no matter what it has signal wise
2:25 they lucky there wasn't another train coming.
I did never see a crossing in the centre of a station. Why not the crossing on the end / beginning of the station or an underpass?
+Marco S I have, in Elberon there is another one like this.
No room to have it nor, money to put in a overpass.

Thats the way it is here too at times.
Nice video!

I agree this crossing needs gates.
We have some pedestrian crossings in Winnipeg which have just crossbucks.
Taylorover9001 Very busy, its a majot train station
Why was the metro north train on New Jersey transit
Metro North shares this with NJ Transit and they use this to get to Port Jervis
Is this the only gate less crossing on the njt
IM PAT ATTACK No, there is another one, i forget where.
Nice video bro! Just FYI, you spelt Transit wrong in the title...no biggy.
+Amtrak Fanatic Thanks and i fixed it
Nice!
+Amtrak produtions Thank You
I live there!!
+Manny Guido thats awesome! How close to this station?
Same!
Cool.
That crossing needs gates! One day there is going to be a deadhead coming through after their ride leaves, and 10 impatient pedestrians will be hit.
+Wortendyke Railfan Yea, i agree with you, maybe one day gates will be here
Look at the sign by the crossing
Cool
Awesome
