I saw everyone picking on this new Soldier and PVT Potato had to step in to correct his actions. Even a happy day can turn into a shit storm when you're walking and talking on your cellphone, in a bad beret, fresh out of basic training. But have no fear young private! AngryCops is here with his valuable insight as an NCO.

PVT Potato took the words right out of my mouth!
ROFL. This was killing me. But today's Military is all about diversity and inclusion. Being sweet, taking a knee and making sure that you don't offend anyone. Including the enemy. 🤬🤬
Only one thing is gayer then wearing a beret and that is getting your ass beat by a guy in a beret.
I would have gone much further in the Army if I had leaders like you. 90% of military leadership are now overtly political soy boys
Are your t shirts made in America also I know the printing is but what about the t shirts
I feel like angry cops is honestly one of those people who would want the best for you.

Couldn’t be more right. Go watch the 2/30 videos. AC loves the army, and cares for those under his charge.
Most TIs do 🤷♂️
NCOs love you guys! You're like our adopted little monkeys 🐒

I love when potato graces us with his almighty knowledge
Into the SKY!!
Absolutely
@@RichardCranium321 to infinity and beyond! 😜🇺🇸
As a soldier, this AC video actually got to me. I honestly thought AC was going to absolutely rip into him as a loser but instead he showed true leadership and composure in such an awkward situation for all the right reasons. That is a leadership trait that few people possess.
That’s what an NCO is for, especially a DS.
DITTO !!!
This has so many less likes than it truly deserves. Well said brother
I remember when I graduated OSUT. Damn was I motivated back then. Here's to hoping the Army doesn't crush his motivation and spirit, but we all know that it's going to.
I remember when I saw my shiney new lieutenants soul get crushed. I let him be my re-enlistment officer as a lil pick me up.

Dammit AC, I was not prepared for wholesome content this morning.
I hope so much that this kid reaches out to you and we get to see a collab.
Switching roles and making the point - you never cease to amaze me, Sir!
Pvt. Potato is a masterpiece, facial expressions - it looks like you live through the pain and misery every time you "switch" To that role.
I am srsly questioning why big film companies didn't hire you yet
I would TOTALLY foot the bill for a good production movie with him staring in it... if I ever won, or played the Lotto lol
I can picture a movie adaptation of Team Yankee with all the characters: Angry DS, Bro vet, Dirtbag Pvt, Pvt Potato, and even the soviet private.

That's the leader everyone should strive to be like. Good shit Sergeant.
Sergeant

it's an absolute art that you are simultaneously able to absolutely grill him and lift him up.
the epitome of drill instruction
That is what a good NCO does.
At least he's motivated, which is more than I can say for half these turds I'm getting out of basic training these days.
Hey now…
When I graduated 31B OSUT on March 26, 2004, most were hoping they would not be deployed. Most only signed the dotted line for pay and benefits to include the free college. Fucking ridiculous.
@@garyfontenot2786 still true to this day I graduated last year and nobody had the same drive as some others all it is about money

It's good to see some ppl actually this motivated about joining. Hope there are more like him to follow, congrats to you kid!
The motivation will be there for years. It's only after he gets out, then he'll be salty like the rest of us. This video hits hard 🤣
Yep. I was on the floor laughing, then swole with pride, and then.....Damn, what happened to me?
Well I'm training to be a shipwright currently and I'm already a salt so does that mean I'm a distance cousin of the navy twice remove ? 🙃
That’s the top comment 😂
I was pretty happy when I graduated recruit training too. But I didn’t post about it on social media.
Do you know why?
Because I’m old. And there wasn’t any social media back then.
Congratulations, soldier. There are going to be plenty of days in the army that suck. Enjoy the good ones. There’ll probably be plenty of those too.
He's gotten himself fucked up a lot more after this.

Love the motivation! Not enough of that is passed around these days. Good on you solider! Make us proud! 🇺🇸
He’s probably the best image a soldier could have, being a soldier isn’t about fighting, it isn’t about being tough, it’s about being there for the brothers and sisters beside you when they need help most.

I remember once when a newly graduated recruit got on the Defence email system and wrote an email asking what he could expect when he got to his new unit...then sent it to the address group listed as "All"....

Yeah. No. I'm good. Every time I reflect on my service, there are fewer and fewer moments in which I can say that it was "good ol' times" and more like "that was actually messed up" or "why did we do that instead of that? Oh. Yeah. Idiots in charge. That's right,"
I notice that a number of veterans say they'd go back in should war start up with Russia.
I'm not one of those people. I got out explicitly because the US Army doesn't care about anyone but its own interests. Even if it means kicking out thousands of able bodied personnel over a heavily politicized vaccine that, at first, was opt-in in early 2021.
He just graduated so obviously he was happy. I mean of course his motivation won't last long.....and he's a boot who messes things up...and will make plenty of mistakes like the rest of us....But I wish him the best for his career.
Took me awhile on recognizing the purists in any group and how to deal with them. First I ever experienced was during a mission trip people were trying to convince me to not drink Mtn. Freaking dew. Among other things like the length of my tie was too short or the tie itself was too skinny, my cloths too baggy or my all time favorite I was all too happy and was celebrating when someone told me they wanted to be baptized. I can assure you if those are my worst crimes I'm doing okay.
That “Life’s cool man”
Was so refreshing to hear. I bet this guy always wanted to be a soldier, and finally getting to hold that title is his first really big step for success. I really wish the best for him, I hope his future leadership recognizes his potential and is capable of leading him to greatness.
Back when I was in the army only a few of us had berets. That was one of the reasons I went to airborne school. I didn't want to look the same as everyone else. I became a Ranger and went to assessment and selection for the SF. How the army had change, now everyone has a beret.
They're consistently neutering specialized units and MOSs. A beret seems like a small thing, but then it couples with every other issue the tardy army has created, in their efforts to create a "unified" military. That ain't how it works, that ain't how many of this works!
I remember when the commander of the army or whatever is title is decided that everyone would get to wear a beret. Everybody said absolutely everybody and said it was because he was jealous and couldn't pass the schooling to get his own beret! I never saw anything that ever contradicted that opinion! And no I don't know all the terms for the Army because I was in the Air Force. Or the chair Force if you like that name better. My three tour Vietnam vet Uncle who spent two of those tours as a tunnel rat absolutely forbid me from joining the Army! At the risk of breaking both my legs so they wouldn't take me. To this day, I still don't think he was kidding.
@@ashleysanford8645 no one wanted a beret, people were actully complaning about it for several years. I was in from 92-2012
I personally prefer the PC cap... the beret is annoying to take care of.
@@ashleysanford8645 it was Army Chief of Staff Eric Shinseki. He had many of the awards and decorations that you insinuate he was incapable of earning as well as a veteran of two tours in n Vietnam in artillery and cavalry. Now while I agree with you that distinctive unit headgear should be reserved for those in distinctive units; resorting to ad hominem attacks against a decorated veteran and career servant of his country is simply childish. I don’t agree with Shinseki, his politics, and the beret issue in particular, especially since the initial issue were low quality sourced from China.
Oh boy look at that optimism and happiness because he graduated OSUT, wonder how long it’ll take for the army to crush that spirit
I feel like Pvt Potato has become such a fountain of knowledge and experience.
This man truly is living the dream! The definition of a Fine Army Day.
I would watch full series of the tales of Private Potato
Dead on…..LMFAO. Both on the shredding and on the advice. Hopefully the young private can keep the motivation and stay happy for a bit, before the Army eats his soul.
I remember being this happy graduating boot. Then I broke up with my girlfriend because I thought I was gonna get so much poon for being a Marine, held onto my motivation for like a year before my unit sucked it all away and then *slide whistle to explosion* the typical military shit. Few bad relationships, not giving a damn at the unit anymore, loss of morale….
I miss that feeling from graduating boot. The pride, the joy, the tears from knowing you made it. That peak moment when you were just so excited and so full of motivation….
It hurts looking back on boot camp and thinking “We didn’t do all that bullshit to prepare us for the stress of combat, we did all that to prepare us for all the “great ideas” our leadership will come up with in garrison.” Yet no matter how bad it gets, I’m still holding on to my Moto. Even with all the bullshit, a day could still come where my unit and myself are truly needed. When a real task presents itself, I know we’ll get it done well. Not trying would only make things worse.

Show us how to shape a berret we would appreciate the knowledge Sergeant
Shower with it, shave it, shape it. Cut out the inner cardboard on both sides of the flash.
A +1 to Chris' comment, cut out the liner and buy a pack of disposable razors 'cause you'll need them.
Even in airborne unit you'll see some jacked up berets. It's typically an E7, LOL. Maybe they do it on purpose to make heads explode.
Despite everything I went through with Basic, I feel like shaping that dang Beret was the hardest. 😜
So this is what Bootcamp been Producing after changing Shark Attack. qUAliTy Soldiers!

First thing I thought was: "good job, kid. do good things."
The second was: fix your damn beret and bulk up those shoulders as your NCOs are gonna be calling you "neckbone" otherwise.
And don't marry a stripper
Shocking how some people failed to do that one
Soon, his spirit will be crushed like everyone else! The Army tends to do this to soldier Boyz! He'll marry a stripper and buy a Camaro at 49% interest! The private dream life!
I love your videos! You should do a video series titled "life of Private Potato" where you act out the interesting life of our favorite soldier haha!
The beret was the first thing I noticed! Lol! Shave it…shape it….do something with it!
Drill Sergeant Hy is correct. Seen some lower enlisted get hosed by their NCOs….potential wasted.
Get that young man a chest freezer full of beef, some dietary supplements, and a gym membership.
I was 6'2" and typically 165-170 lbs. throughout my teen years even with working out and eating a lot. I finally started supplementing a 2000 calorie shake twice a day in addition to what I was already eating. I got stacked quickly and have never looked back.
@Blue state escapee I did
1. This may well be part of the new crop of soldiers that will never see a spear hand EVER. Use Gender pronouns properly and never have to be motivated by outside influences to do what needs to be done. Life this private has only just begun. I have no idea what's going to happen to this guy next. I'm just happy I'm retired.
I love this! I remember I was so happy to get my BCG because I could see. My drill daddy got so motivated to see me thrilled at something that most people see as demoralizing.
It's all about perspective. Do BCG's look good? No; the nickname of "Birth Control Glasses" exists for a reason. Do the BCG's serve their function of restoring vision to those with poor eyesight? Yes, and I can understand how anyone would be overjoyed at finally getting a pair of glasses that actually deliver results.
That beret is totally effed up. I’d smoke him just for that.
I love when he does this character. It's one of his funniest bits!

Motivated troops are a treasure. Most of my bosses hated having bright-eyed kids come up from tech school: "You're too high energy! Calm down!"
I loved it. The key is to show them how temper their enthusiasm with pragmatism and knowledge of how things work, and to teach them how to roll with the punches when life throws a curveball. These airmen were usually some of the best troops I've ever supervised.
And there's nothing sadder than seeing a formerly gung-ho troop give up and quietly ride out the remainder of their enlistment, because their supervisor sloughed off on the job and didn't teach them the way of things. Mentor your troops, NCOs! Take that shit seriously.
seriously. people bitch about leadership constantly but will never admit that pieces of shit enlisted that want to degrade and drag down anyone whose happy to their level are huge issues as well. I knew to be quiet and not express that I'm proud of my service and happy to be here because I knew people would be all mad about that. how stupid is that? how fucked is that?
