    Stumbled on this whilst reflecting on the unique opportunity I had to score all his films since 1996. Unbelievable director and wonderful human being who is sadly missed.

      Wow! Thank you so much for the thoughtful comment and for watching my humble video. I really appreciate hearing from you, Harry. What an amazing experience it must've been to be able to work with Tony (and Ridley, for that matter). Tony was such an incredible, visionary talent that I can only imagine the films he would be making if he were still with us today. I miss him so much. BTW, I really appreciate your work as well Harry... I own quite a few of the films you've scored, and I just love the atmosphere you create. It's always perfect for the film. Thanks again for watching and commenting. This was a wonderful surprise!

    I'm also hoping for an upgrade for The Last Boy Scout, however, there were so much hate for that film from the stars and filmmakers, even the composer. But hopefully WB will give a proper treatment for TLBS. I've seen where Bob Iger is back at Disney and he specifically stated that he wants to get Disney back in the physical media game, so hopefully that means more releases from Fox, Touchstone, Hollywood Pictures releases could be on the way in the near future.

    I just subscribed I love your energy bud🙏 Tony Scott was a true artist amazing video! All of Tony Scott’s work is amazing .. my personal favorite is Man On Fire with Denzel another one of my personal favorites was Beverly Hills Cop 2 he kept the feel of the first but you can see the distinct Tony Scott flair in the sequel and it was so amazing.. obviously so many other greats as well! Thanks for the video man definitely enjoyed it!
    Tony Scott’s films resonate in a different way for me now as someone who has been through mental health battles the majority of my life it’s truly a blessing to be able to rewatch the films he gave us and know he made such art throughout what he was going through!

      Thank you so much! Great to have you here... really appreciate your support! Yeah Tony Scott was tha man! One of my all-time fave directors! He never got the credit he deserved for being the true artist that he was. I miss him so much. Imagine what other killer films he would've put out beyond Unstoppable if he had lived. I feel like his later career films were some of his best. Thanks for watching, subbing and commenting!

    Great stuff, dude! Crimson Tide is my #1, with Days of Thunder as a runner-up. I really dig The Hunger as well.

      You know The Hunger is the only Tony Scott film I still have never seen. I've got to get my hands on that... I've been meaning to pick it up but just haven't gotten around to it. But yeah man, you definitely can't go wrong with Crimson Tide. Such a damn good film! Thanks for watching Daniel!

      @rorynoke5612 Thank you! Yeah I've always felt Tony's later work didn't get as much love as it deserved. He did some really cool things with those later films. Thanks for watching! Do you have a favorite from his later-career work?

      @@TheOriginalFuzz DOMINO is absolutley my favourte Tony Scott film. It's full-throttle Tony, like an experimental art film wrapped in an action thriller package. I understand audiences were polerised by his style, especially in this film, but he was way ahead of his time. Only a powerhouse visionary like Tony Scott would have the balls to go as far as he did with Domino.
      Glad you put it in your Top 3. If you haven't seen it, check out the short film he directed: The Hire - Beat The Devil. It's amazing.

      Awesome! Great to see Domino on your list as well. You clearly have a strong appreciation for Tony Scott's work in his later years, and I'm right there with ya! Tony was the man!

      @@TheOriginalFuzz yep tony was the man, very similiar cinematography as his bro Ridley, but Tony was the action man. his movies have a certain edge which I think is better than his bro Ridley(and I think Ridley is great in his own right).

    Hard to pick a fav. But Unstoppable is up there. I've watched that many times. The bluray is killer! If you didn't know it, you would think it was 4K. I am glad I stumbled across your channel. Have only watched a couple so far. I am still fairly new to UA-cam as well. I started my channel February last year. I really enjoy it! It gives me a purpose and have something to do. Plus I now know how much work it is to put out content and appreciate anyone doing this. Keep it up!

      I agree... I love Unstoppable so much. On some days, it actually is my favorite. And it was definitely a killer ride seeing it on the big screen when it first came out. So tragic we lost Tony way too soon. Imagine what other killer films he could've delivered after Unstoppable. He was really on a roll in his later years, in my view. Really hitting his creative stride.

    You actually prefer Deja Vu, Unstoppable AND Domino over Crimson Tide? No argument over Man on Fire and True Romance. No love for Revenge… pity

    • @TheOriginalFuzz
      @TheOriginalFuzz  Рік тому +2

      I understand where you're coming from. Crimson Tide is indeed a fantastic film. But I placed the other films higher because I felt they were much more ambitious and experimental from a visual, stylistic aesthetic POV. But in terms of story and acting performances, yes Crimson Tide would rank a bit higher (at least higher than Domino). It just depends on what day you catch me on. When I put this list together, I prioritized artistic experimentation in his filmmaking over other factors.
      As for Revenge, yeah I figured someone would mention that. A lot of people dig Revenge, but it just doesn't do that much for me personally. I re-watched it a few weeks back in preparation for this list, and it reminded me of why I don't watch it very often. I mean, it's a well-made film, but I don't think any of the characters are really all that likable in Revenge, and I'm just not a big Kevin Costner guy. So Revenge didn't connect with me as much as other Tony films.
      Thanks for watching and weighing in!

    The best submarine movie ever made is Das Boot... Assuming you've never seen that to claim hunt for the red October is the best

    • @TheOriginalFuzz
      @TheOriginalFuzz  Рік тому

      Correct I've never seen Das Boot. But I will definitely add that to my list. Thanks for the tip! (Although I'm pretty sure I'm far from alone in holding Hunt in such high regard, since it has become a classic in its own right... despite Alec Baldwin's presence in the film LMAO!)
