- How many hidden Geometry Dash features do you know? I'll show you 33 of the secret GD build hacks I know and use, which should help you a fair bit. Even if you don't use these, they're still more helpful than that Waboo video - for one, I actually create lol.

The tips Waboo didnt know💀
fr
Waboo ain't coming back from that blunder
No he was hacking
No way bro
he did know he just did a shit job at explaining 💀
Bullying Waboo has just become the key to content at this point
edit: what have I done
Waboo’s a trendsetter… kinda
looks like waboos trapped in limbo
he's experiencing grief
he’s going through six paths of pain
Seems like he’s in a tunnel of despair
These are genuinely some of the best tips I've seen in a while. The contrast between an editor tips vid made for money and one made to actually help people is crazy
godspeed, gd creator school
btw you should credit the levels you use as footage, either on screen or in the desc. would love to check some of these out but I don't know the names 😔
Thank you! And fair point, I’ll credit them inside the videos from now on^^

OMG IM EARLY! GD Colon, I subbed to u. U probably wont see this but your one of my favorite gd channels
I edge to gd cologne
Bro rlly had to put in the "ACTUAL" in the title 😭😭🙏🙏
Waboo…
I really like this video. Genuinely some tips that even I didn't know like position switching in the editor with the number keys. This has a lot more realistic advice on how to actually get good at creating. This is the kind of content we need more of in this community.
GENUINE! REALISTIC! ACTUALLY! bro called out waboo in 2795 ways with just 3 words smh
JAM ATTACKKKKKK!!!!!!!!!
It's his panettone... Nobody will ever forgive or forget...
LMAO HIS EGO IS STILL THRIVING
Bakers are scared of him because his ego is still thriving somehow
his ego is filled with bliss (it fills u with determination)
That 10 millisecond image of waboo 💀 9:09
9:08 works better for me
@@falkeborg9432 oh oke

@@UA-camZu”Oh Dear”
Honestly the best Creator tip video out there. Such an underrated channel, hope you get your deserved recognition soon!
Waboo’s been real silent since this dropped.
When I see a GDCS video I start questiong why this channel isn't verified, is so useful, and in this case, reveals things that people forgot that existed (like copying and pasting through levels, I think this is a 2.2 feature but I can be wrong)
3:27 Also, the reverse trigger is useful sometimes, since sometimes flipping an arrow trigger to make the same effect, it just don't do anything, instead, do that, BUT check "Change Channel" and then "Channel only", you put an unused channel and put a reverse trigger / orb / pad in that channel and you're ready. You should check the Press Start editor to see what I mean with this.
Thank you, and good point!
@@GDCreatorSchoolthanks you too for giving us tips
9:20 I didn't expect the wedding cake example to be added in this vid omg! Thank you so much ❤
Of course!
tip: be careful with build helper. Ecspecially with more complex logic, build helper doesn't properly work sometimes, do NOT build helper something many parent ids unless you know how to assign them back (i once had a case where someone in a megacollab broke my part by using build helper on my stuff). All types of ids count as one id, so make sure to use the same id on stuff like block ids, timer ids, effect ids etc. to save on groups. In some rare cases, like in the sequence trigger, build helper doesnt work at all. Its best to use remapping and use build helper on the remap. a lot safer and easier to use.
tip 11 is a bit outdated but still valid. I would do this either through "direction mode" in the move trigger or use advanced follow + regular follow (spike advfollows point, point regularily folllws spike), depending on the case.
Omg fight of light guy!
bullying waboo is now the nw trend in gd lol
waboo should’ve been bullied before the build hack video because he didn’t give credit
He deserves it
He always made sh!tty videos without credit, but with the "83 hacks" one he literally signed a death sentence
Bro you gave like, 33 useful tips which is basically all of them, these are the best tips I've ever heard. Gd editor just suddenly became 10x easier to manage
bro woke up and decided to choose violence against waboo
Bullying Waboo has become a genre at this point
6:43 you can use the Z order, so you can do that tip, but remember to put the smaller portals in a higher Z order
1:16 I'd like to clarify what those checkboxes do exactly
Short speaking, they switch from multiplication to addition
Long speaking, when you adjust the saturation of an object with the corresponding slider, the saturation value will be multiplied by whatever number there will be inputted. Enabling the checkbox will now be adding or subtracting from the saturation value, which is why it can turn pitch black into white, and white - into red. If the color saturation is set to zero, setting the HSV value to 2.00 will increase it to 100% regardless
Waboo is shaking in his boots
he shivering his timbers
0:05 the flash of waboos thumbnail killed me
I actually didn't know you can set a keybind to move to a position, this is gonna be so useful when making XL levels.
Also thank you for bringing up contrast. This has been especially a problem I noticed, when the new pixel blocks have been introduced. A lot of creators struggle with distinguishing obstacles, and it's one of the most important parts of gameplay, as it removes a lot of trial and error and unfair deaths. Great tips overall!
Thanks for the actually useful build tips, I don't need to learn how to build a lantern in -6 objects like some youtubers think
something that actually helped me improve a TON is stealing other peoples assets. NOW, BEFORE YOU SAY ANYTHING, LISTEN!!! I know stealing stuff is wrong but it helped me a ton to see how other people make their things and how i could use more complex assets in my own levels. SO... a great way to steal assets without actually stealing is maybe trying to make a level with stolen assets but not uploading it to GD for everyone to play and this it's all made by you. I would say you actually SHOULD steal assets as a beginner in the editor so you know how to make complex art/assets and know how to properly use them in a level with other assets! (recap - USE ASSETS IN UNLISTED/PRIVATE LEVELS BUT DON'T UPLOAD STOLEN STUFF CAUSE THAT IS CRINGE ASF!!! DON'T BE LIKE YOUNGER ME!!!!)
Edit 1 : Just don't use the replies as a guide to steal things and publish it lmfao
Ok i kinda like that idea
You just study the structures and got some inspiration of those, then you make your own idea.
That's crazy
I got some inspiration from dolphe, xendergame, bli, darwin, hhyper and the guy who made prismatic domain
Oh, and mindcap (i like his complex layouts)
That's a really cool tip that I've never heard before! And I can totally see it helping, it always feels so daunting to start from scratch when you don't understand how people make things.
6:43 you can stack the portals and "hide" them and the place that over this and set these portals to "no touch"
Tip: don’t listen to the Waboo video if you’re new to creating TRUST ME
This is much higher quality than waboo!
8:14 is actually a really awesome tip. I've always found my glow to be inconsistent in quality, and now i (probably) know why
0:04 "From easy" shows easy, "to absolutely insane" shows (hard) demon💀
I never knew that about copy and paste, now collab/megacollabs make sense.
as a creator, this video didnt mentally and physically hurt me

[ 4:50 ] there’s an event link option called “Jump Push” that triggers when you click the jump button itself , regardless of the controls being limited. im pretty sure this can serve as a purpose in cutscenes and such
I love how any _commpetent_ creating tips video is now instantly a Waboo parody. As all things shall be.
the Waboo reference at the start absolutely killed me🤣
0:13 I wish this worked in 2.1
finally a video video in which i didn't knew 70% of the tips already instead i didn't knew 70% of the tips here. also a bit random, i will try to go from building a layout in 14 hours to 50 hours and 36 hours decorating to 1000 hours to get a legendary i wish (i wanna make it in the next 9 month) might sound a bit far fetched but i will try my best.
if waboo was an actual good creator
If it wasn't for that video I think his reputation would be a lot better.

Wow this is actually amazing! Ive been using the editor for a while and this still helped me a lot!!! ❤
3:34 actually you don't need arrow triggers to make reverse triggers work, you can just use order, but arrow triggers are better
3:28 That was unexpected
Those ACTUAL hacks are very useful, great video! :D
I really needed that last tip bro
Sometimes i just give up making levels because I didnt like what I did
Thank's for the tutorial. Now i can finally build my Oneshot style level that i always wanted to make
Good luck duderino
hollow knight music goes hard 👍
Do I own Geometry Dash? No
Did I watch the entire video? Yes
This is better than Waboo, gives actual tips to make you better (not like hOw To MaKE thIs DeCo) and tells you failing is okay
0:50 Why does it just cut off 😂😂😂😂😂
I hope Waboo never escapes that video 🙏

Save Positions are wild bro
Waboo bullying is the first gd content I've enjoyed watching
now these are actually good. Ive been toying with the level editor for many years and some of these I never even realized, like the fact that ease out is broken.
this community is too talented to believe waboo man i love it
waboo collab already?
I GENUINELY NEVER KNEW THAT THE COPY BUTTON CAN TRANSFER OVER LEVELS! Already a million times better than Wabbo!
Wait you can without mods???
@@gdphheaven-3116 After the 2.2 release, yeah, you can
Waboo jokes aside, this was genuinely one of the most helpful videos I’ve seen for creating in gd in a while, it will always be an understatement saying how important it is how your colors interact with eachother in a level.. thank you very much for making this, I know how I can improve on many areas in my creations now because of it ☺️
*"Actual"* LMAO 😆
Shiiiiiii'sh this would help, actually🔥🔥🔥
5:00 i was wondering why my static camera triggers werent working in save and play and now im just annoyed
2:24 you CAN use ease out if you want the specific movement that is that, but dont if you want actual ease out
These are some pretty fire tips. I remembered when I watched waboo's creating video for the first time and my mind just went all confused mode when I watched it. But watching these tips actually feel like good editing tips that should've been the video waboo made.
I don't want to spread any major hate towards waboo, but he does need to learn from his mistakes. He did apologize on a community post and a livestream but I'm not sure if his video's are gonna remain rushed video's with pointless facts.
This was such an awesome video, and these tips were very helpful!
One little thing I noticed is that you said “bad levels != failure”. I would maybe change that since I doubt everybody knows that “!=“ means inequality. I’m pretty certain not everyone who saw this video does programming. Idk why I said that since it was kinda a nitpick on my part, but yeah there you go. Amazing video btw
Saving editor position is pretty annoying because I dont know how to remove it, I can only see keybinds for save and load
The only way to remove is to just go for an older copy/ver before placing editor position (afaik)
If you know the solution lmk, thanks.
I don’t know of a solution sadly - wish that were possible now that you mention it.
3:24 sometimes there are uses for it, like if you want to keep the same gravity but theres multiple paths that have different gravitys, but other than that just use arrow trigger
You can copy and paste between levels? Thank you so much, you saved me alot of time.❤
I think this video should be longer personally. It's very dense as it is and makes it hard to follow. I understand wanting to capture the attention span though 😔
Bro has a whole video where he explains that emerald realm isn’t good but he’s using it in every scene in his videos
Emerald Realm primarily fails as a collab, especially on the managing front. I am still proud of my part in the level and it’s not bad as background footage either.
Ok
Sorry if that sounds rude
I didn't know some of these and I have been creating for about a year now
I wish school was like this.
this is how creator tip videos should be. suggestions on the mechanics of how the editor works rather than saying "this is how to build." really good video
Thank you for making the playtester request channel in the discord server 😊
I remember trying every single portal in a separate level to see how they work
half of these i didnt know. thats wild
omg THANK YOU SO MUCH :D. God waboo's video lowered my standards for creator tip videos so much but thank you bro these tips are actually good and will save time!
ACTUALLY USEFUL TIPSS??
These are suprisingly good tips. Nice video!
Thank you for the actual good tips, now I can try to create original stuff without stealing it from the internet
at 06:40 you can however layer your portals using Z Order instead, but separating them by small steps is better for readability.
When stacking portals like this, it's best to experiment (change the scaling, layering, and positions of each portals) to find what works best for that transition.
Personally I find it best to have game-mode portals be at the base/bottom, then gravity and/or size portals at the top of it. If I need both a gravity and size portal put on that transition, I find it best just to move them apart by small steps until they're both readable.
for no. 22 i usually seperate the orb and portal with black glow
this is wild bro 💀🔥 (thanks for the tips)
You dont need to change the protal z layer, make sure you put all the revese/mini portals or whatever and then put the gameplay portal abovd them.
as a small creator i don't really use the reverse and arrow trigger i think that theese break the music rhytm and i always have problems with that. I don't like to use it anyways
The glow tip will help. Thanks!
who is that beautiful creator who made the part at 8:57 this cyto guy must be so talented and beautiful and handsome
6:45 maybe not a good tip since that covers the portal icons for colorblind people
Fun Fact: there is a select all tab in the pause menu of the editor now, so you don’t have to use swipe edit anymore 😊
Select all has existed since 2017^^
Wow, it's really good. It's very attractive. The ads are very interesting
Nah the first one is gonna make stealing assets way worse 🙏🙏
2:24 I KNEW I WASN'T CRAZY, I KNEW THE EASE OUT LOOKED ODD
yeah!! i always just ended up using exp. out instead since it looks more like a "lerp" style smoothing
I've been playing this game for half my life and this is literally MIND BLOWING
I reward you with an algorithm comment!
Waboo would be flabbergasted by this
BROOOOOOOO I DIDNT KNOW COPY AND PASTE WAS SO USEFUL, THANK YOU.
It worked really good thank you a lot❤
