I know this seems useful, but I'd be careful. There's already several stories floating around about the build plate shifting during prints. Buy it if you want, but just lower your exposure times on the first few layers and you don't even need this.
If the build plate shifts, it’s just leveled too tight, all you need to do is relevel without pushing down so much, paper between build plate and screen should move. As with any new tech you need to learn how to set it up.
@@WhamBamSystems That's not the issue people are reporting, people are having a problem with the plate shifting throughout the print, not just in the initial layers.. And in any case, going straight to blaming it on user error without even knowing exactly what problem people were having is pretty ridiculous, or are you assuming that people are suddenly forgetting how to level their build plate ? That's the first thing people have to learn when they buy a resin printer, but suddenly they don't know how to do that if they have a problem with your product ? Thanks for letting me know how your company handles product issues : "it's the user's fault"

@@WhamBamSystems "new tech" ? "settings" ??? It's just a sheet of metal and it changes absolutely nothing about the leveling process. You level the plate exactly the same way with your product or without. Why do you keep insisting that there's anything different that people are doing wrong ? You act like your product is equivalent to upgrading the lcd screen or replacing the z-axis LOL. It's a sheet of metal that sticks to the build plate, stop trying to hype yourself up. So far I have not had any issues of prints shifting, granted I have not done a ton of printing but so far so good. My review and tests are completely independent of both DIY Electronics and Wham Bam and have not been influenced by either, this is MY honest opinion. I will keep doing prints and if I find ANY issues I WILL report on this channel. This was a first impressions video and first impressions were very good. So far I have pushed 7 prints of various sizes through and have not had any issues barring the very first print that came loose due to the build plate not being clean.
@@FusionSource I'm a newbie with 3d printing in general. I've got the LD002-R as well and my 1st figurine print came out quite nicely of which i obviously needed to use supports. I too see for something flat like a spacebar, you didn't use any supports. I want to print some foldable wall hooks that I found on Thingiverse www.thingiverse.com/thing:4675334. Do you think I should use supports for this or should i try printing it flat to the build plate? Please check it out and let me know. Thank you for the videos you posted, been really helpful 👍
Neat video! Would be lovely to hear how you get on with this and getting a bit more longterm perspective. Personally I don't have issues getting the prints off my plate after I lowered my exposure times for the first layers :)
I don't think that anyone has this problem if they've taken the time to calibrate their exposure times. But I guess people like spending money for shiny new gimmicks lol.
Sorry for the late reply, check your sensor, there is a piece of metal that goes between the light sensor, make sure that is clean and that it is aligned properly, I once knocked the sensor off, so the homing was totally out.
Wonderful review, loved your expression during the pop off. Priceless. Enjoy
Thank you so much for your comment, I am glad you enjoyed the video.
It is an amazing system that has just made my Creality a much better machine.
Do you know how to install your product on a creality resin printer? Creality doesn't say and neither do you whambam.

Yesssss: it’s a must: it really saves lot of time ( the flexible magnetic )
Glad you agree, love using it
Creality now makes their own flexible build plate which is a much better price. Just FYI. Maybe a review for that?

Do you not print with offset supports ? Ive always used them on everything but I’ve never tried without
I try avoid them as much as possible, they waste resin and leave marks on the print, I only use supports if I have any overhangs
@@FusionSource thanks! You’ve saved me some resin!

I will most certainly do a follow up video, testing out small and large items. It does work beautifully though.

Uh, no one likes prints sticking to the build plate so hard you can't get them off, but I don't think I want them to fall off that easily either....
Dude, I watched the video to see how you were going to relevel and I stall it and it never happened.
Love the intro! :D
Thanks, was a little bit mean, but also funny ;-)
