The thing that I like about Al and Woody is that both of them talk to you like you wandered in off the street for a look. No big TV show egos, just experience and passion.
When did you guys upload this?? I see this comment and a couple of others from 1day ago but I've had the notification for less than 1hr... Yes I have clicked the bell, subbed and usually comment on every video lol love the work lads👍
gale banks is one of the most underrated american treasure's when comes to making power from any engine . way back in the 60's when Olds wanted to turbo there car they went to him when Ford did super chargers on there trucks they talked to him even the Army and GM go to gale banks for more power out of there engines . his current passion is how much can I get out of a bone stock Duramax so far the answer is 912 HP . If you love engines and making power as efficiently and easily as possible you need to check out his videos . all of his work is backed by his scientific approach to making power no matter what it's from be it gas or diesel
I absolutely love it when Al goes all techy on us, I’m building a Ford Sapphire V6 24 valve Cosworth with a relatively high compression and capable of 8500rpm running a pair of Garrett GT3082r turbochargers to add that extra bit of fire in its belly and I find it really interesting and incredibly helpful for my own projects. I’ll definitely be listening to Al’s advice and fitting a blowoff valve to try and keep the car in a good reliable running order. Thanks for the advice and keep up the good work 👍🏻 I’d just like to add, sweet Jesus does that thing rip, get me a plane ticket down under please and sign me up for a passenger ride. That thing is majorly impressive 🤘🏻
@@madsnoop7 my go to channels, The Skid Factory, Mighty Car Mods, Cleetus McFarland, Fasterproms, Nugget Garage, Taylor Ray, PFI Speed and Boosted Boiz and a bunch of others.
Why, hello there, AW11 up on the lift~! Hope that's a future series/review--I've always loved MR2s, but the first-gen models will forever be my favorite car in the world.
Yup, pretty sure it's woodies too. He put a post up pulling one out of his yard, or his was white but he did comment it would be on the show in the future.
Watching you guys both get pinned back in the seats when boost came on strong, I was crying from laughter! That car is badass!! Nice job on the build like usual!
Strangest thing I've noticed is I have the same scar as Woody in my left eyebrow XD But deadset this video Al has answered all my questions for a little problem I've been having. I'm glad he explained the drive pressure and bottlenecking of the turbo. I had made up a log manifold and fitted a external gate but since found to be blowing gaskets and not being able to keep the gate closed. I thought I had a dude gate or even stuffed the flow of my manifold but didn't account for the tiny bottleneck in my tiny turbo. Edit: Also ;) ;) Skid Factory Guard covers would be mint.
16:00 Not surprised one bit Al's a fan of Dale. Man is a wealth of knowledge and freely shares his 50 years of engineering experience with the world for free. Loving this build, you'd never see that engine in a Fairlane of here in the states. Cheers, boys
So refreshing that someone else actually did the math to figure out what size fuel line is really needed.. I've made well north of 800hp on a single -6 feed and no pressure drop.
Good to know more about Gale, I'll have another look. I originally subscribed to him for his investigation into rear diff housings and how they affect the lubrication of diffs. Interesting stuff and yes very knowledgable bloke.
Its about time you guys had a 'project reunion'. Obviously some have changed owners hands but yeah, should have some sort of drag day with all the projects. 🏴💙🏴💙🏴💙🏴💙🏴 thanks guys.
Though inn not a big fan of putting different brand engines in different brand cars, this was a pretty cool swap.. Lots of power! Good to see you guys!!
Awesome build, and the filming/craic/content/editing are all on point. The terror and glee during those pulls was very obvious and made for great viewing. More power to you guys! 🤘
Awesome build guys, Al and Woody, you guys crack me up. I reckon there would be a couple of freckle love bites on the seats after those pulls. When Woody nearly head butted the dash I lost it and laughed that hard a tear ran down my leg.
Love it boys !!!!!! So much more technical explainations gave a super understanding of what you did and why !!! So good . Keep it up and more of the same !!!!!! Best video you have produced ever !!!!👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍
Thanks alot Al !!!!!!!! I am now addicted to Gale Banks channel!! That man is a guru... his data analysis is awsome. Reminds me of the old saying "Without data, all you have is an opinion" (BTW, feel free to use that😉) Keep up the killa content guys!!
hell yeah Gale is a wealth of knowledge. I found him when he started experimenting with diff covers and I thought that was brilliant he took the time to invest into that journey. No other automaker has gone to those lengths and that showed me his curiosity and drive to make the best parts.
safety first while welding , Al. love your work Woody. need to get some seats installed. Thought you were going to end up lying feet up in the back seat. So Funny facial expressions and language. love the out takes. nice edit Woody.
Wow! Amazing knowledge again from Al, love the technical content. The pulls were just crazy. The faces and the reactions to the pulls were just amazing!
Gale banks is a legend, and what he doesn't know about turbos you don't need to know. Hes a gold mine of info. His latest vid taking about exhaust pressures is really informative.

would love to be able to buy Skid Factory fender protectors for when I am working on my cars..!
Nic brooo
Just ordered.
Was that nice pull done in the Australian Mexico?
Got it up on the plane bro 😂
The thing that I like about Al and Woody is that both of them talk to you like you wandered in off the street for a look. No big TV show egos, just experience and passion.
I agree mate, boost ain’t even my thing, but I still keep watching.👍🏽
100% agreed!
"I got it up on the plane bro" 😂😂 that would have to be one of Als best lines yet
When Yoda sweares and has a bum tickle you know it's a monster. Love this car.
WHEW! When a person's been in a lot of fast cars and breathes a sigh of relief after a pull, you know it's vicious!
Amen
Was thinking the same thing
It was totally focused at the end!

What skid 😂😂 "wasn't me"
Nothing like pedaling it at 80mph
Can’t get over woody’s facial expression during the test drive😂. What a monster, love this car.
I also enjoyed Woody's "facial"!
His bung hole was twitching like a rabbits nose, and that's how you know it's properly quick!!
Woody needed an o-sh!t bar to hold on to.
It's that look of: "What have we done?"
Woddy's was funny, but did you see Al's the 3rd time he moshed it? He looked like, "Oh shite, hope I can keep this out of the ditch!" lol
Al: Scratches chin; "Yeah, a tad more angry"
gotta love that turbo V8 old boi float and go
Matt I want to see you build a 1UZ and work some sloppy magic on it!
"Got it up on the plane" 😆👌 Looks like it too! Haha so good

The 1UZ is only 262 cubic inches.
He definitely is , and most definitely a treasure to all
Best team duo on the tube at the mo imo

aw11 ftw! Best cars evarrrr
Aw11 owner here. Love driving it with my 7age 20v
When Allan swears at the cars acceleration then it must be impressive. Coz I don't think Al is easily impressed.
Watching you guys both get pinned back in the seats when boost came on strong, I was crying from laughter! That car is badass!! Nice job on the build like usual!
This content is explicit... I got chills just watching those pulls(send), it took to long to post here in Texas..(time difference). Good job guys

Great job as always guys! I also want to thank you for referencing Gale Banks. I'm just soaking it up like a sponge. So much stuff to learn...

boosted v8s and two stroke bikes always put a smile on your face
Easily my favourite Skid Factory video for ages. Details, explanations, spannering and some indecent throttle treatment. Great job.
Is it just me or is this a more enjoyable channel than MCM?
I really enjoy the chilled vibe and well informed information coming in
damonlandsdown Why compare?
The face on boost says it all. That feeling is unbelievable when it hits you.
I was genuinely smiling when you gave it the boot 👌
I reckon there is a small round piece of drivers seat missing after the test drive 😝 .... but it sure is a rocket !!
I had a ZC as a teenager in the 90's, but it was nowhere near what this beast is, what a great vid!
As we say in my home country: now it has enough power to back out of the garage :) Cheers boys! :)
36:25 oh it lays patch, nice
The back to back P-clips on one bolt are so simple yet I’ve been trying to think of how to secure two hoses for ages and never thought of it.
It is gratifying to see hose clamps properly route and mount the fuel lines versus zip ties.
Awesome videos guys, love sitting back and tuning in. Keep it up and it's great to see where our hard work ends up 👌🏼

With the Binky boyz this must be the best channels on youtube love it.
That GFB SV52 is a genius bit of kit👍
Got my allied performance hoodie today delivered to me here in the UK. Cheers gents, wearing it now it's awesome.
Rewatching this after awhile, and I love how the Fairlane went from being a quick street car to a monster sleeper.
Love this car! Being the first project I watched SF do a few years ago it holds a special place for me. 💪
Coolest 40 to the speed limit pull ;)
It was absolutely bang on. I counted the road side poles per second myself. Right to the speed limit. Lemon Squash?
The reactions to the pulls are priceless.
Good to see it raise ya blood pressure .......well done fellas !!!

Great way to describe exhaust size and WG spring pressure.
Awesome build, and the filming/craic/content/editing are all on point.
The terror and glee during those pulls was very obvious and made for great viewing.
More power to you guys! 🤘
You know its fast when you guys get legitimately surprised.
Hyped for my favourite car of all time the AW11 MR2 too. Love the videos guys
Awesome build guys, Al and Woody, you guys crack me up.
I reckon there would be a couple of freckle love bites on the seats after those pulls.
When Woody nearly head butted the dash I lost it and laughed that hard a tear ran down my leg.
Wow that's awesome you could see the look on his face when the boost kicks in wiping the side of his face going oh shit
Love it boys !!!!!!

How funny is Woody's reaction 😁
Keen to see how hard it goes at the track.
Mint build v2
She pulls well. Sounds gnarly too. Nice work.
Well and amused with “got it up on plane” 😁
That is pretty scary just watching you nail that throttle. Well done boys.
Good to see that you guys care about the end customer and respect their budget. Not everyone does, unfortunately...
