A video using color masks might be interesting. Perhaps you only want to adjust skin tones without affecting other objects and HSL vs 3D color masks for control. BTW one of my issues with the vectorscope is it's either 100% or 133% and sometimes I'd like to expand it further for more detailed control. I know some temporarily boost saturation as an alternative but I wonder what's the best way when even 133% doesn't show enough detail.
Again, a very articulate and informative video presentation! One problem I have is that sometimes I just cannot bring up the Low end of The Luma. I look at the graphs and some Component of the video signal remains low.
Not a single Hollywood movie- not one - that uses FCP for color correction! Doesn't that tell you something?! And 99% of them use Da Vinci Resolve. Does that tell you something? Maybe you're barking up the wrong tree!
What I would call "barking up the wrong tree" is spending my time watching and commenting on videos for apps I don't use, and criticizing the people who do use them. Move along, Allen!
I’m assuming you live in South Florida. I’m basing that on some of your video that I have seen in your example clips in your various tutorials. I’m looking for work, kind of learning as I go. I’m not sure what type of business you own/run, but I have some experience in your line of work. May I have your contact information?
Wow! Thank you so much for your talents and time and energy you have just to let folks like me that appreciate people like you to teach us so we can better our creativeness. Thank you!!
You can if your shot needs it. This video is based off a presentation I gave at NAB where I talked about WB, but this video was so dang long I couldn't cover everything I did in that session!
@@JennJagerPro thank you!! I’ve always wondered because in FCP white balance shows up first in the “order of operations.” In the video corrections pane.
hi, i saw so many videos on color correction, but i didn't get any information on what is the importance of shadows, midtones, highlights, contrast, curves, color board, exposure, saturation etc... please make video complete color correction basic level to advanced level thank you. 🙏

One of the best color grading tutorials I have seen. I would enjoy a review of when Luts or Plug-ins make sense for this task. Great job as always.
Really? Thank you!!!

Another great video thank you so much. That was the one area Final Cut I really have an issue with. Thank you for explaining how to use these tools
You're very welcome!
You can pull the dial further and keep adjusting your image, just fyi! 4:23
A most useful tutorial Jen, esp the skin tones. Very many thanks. And yes please, more on LUTS.
Ok, more to come!

Thanks Jenn, very informative and very helpful. It's always good to see how people arrive at their goal and the ways it can be done differently.

You are the BEST ~!
excellent tutorial thank you! question….not a good idea to adjust white balance as first step?

@@JennJagerPro what step is white balance, though? The very first?
Correct your exposures first, then white balance
