european colonization is so weird and tragic. both indigenous to their respective continents speak their colonizers tongues. i am indigenous to turtle island - north america. visited and spoke with maya. so beautiful and fierce down there. amazing story.
OMG this is not the year 1800 people its 2016 and the fact that oil is a way of life now get over it .... your trucks your computers tvs all this does not just drop from the sky.. if you stop using any and all oil related products then you hve a right to complain
you got some nerve to say "get over it" about Standing Rock and still manage to say it's not 1800s with what is happening there..this is about Culture and Treaties..should learn and read more about it before making a fool out of yourself this is stuff Americans don't teach in Schools or mentions in their History books..
to tell you im from canada i have a great understanding of your Culture believe me i love it i have a wife who happens to be a canadian native she understates the need for this .. ... i have a family two kids that depend on me having a job get it
Steven Martin we don't "need" it, we need energy... yes, but we can use other sources for it. Fossil fuels are dangerous, and but it's because of the amount of money involved. Besides, the issue is the violation of the treaty with the US gov't. Also, these Mayas were killed for simply being killed for having dark skin, like it happened in my parents country - El Salvador- how can you say "get over it"?
Steven Martin I highly doubt it...coming from a Canadian Treaty Denesuline..if your wife is treaty your kids don't need you, her band will help her out and her kids. with or without you..
Finally aguilas y condores vuelan juntos. We are survivors of genocide semillas de la Tierra que emergen Ometeotl
