This is awesome to watch. It must have really been something to experience and film. I have some exposure to the Cherokee Nation as I live 45 min from Cherokee, NC and actually visited the reservation before the casino went in, but never have I witnessed something this powerful. Great documentation. To me, this is pure raw human power at its finest. You can see it even in the young ones' eyes that they are ready to protect this earth with their lives and bare hands. Awesome.
This is taking part in new zealand, my native kin The maori do this when it comes to ceremony (A different haka to suit the ceremony) and in recent times to show protest. Funnily, we do have a relationship with native american communities as we do visit and are visited by them at times. But thanks for bearing witness to one of our cultral practices and enjoying it :)

Thank you brother🤙🏽✊🏽I’m Native Cherokee myself and I’ve always had so much respect for the Māori people and culture including all Polynesian cultures (Samoan, Tongan, Fijian and all of Polynesia/Pacifica islands)👌🏽 Our cultures are so similar in so many ways, and being able to see the beautiful Polynesian Native cultures still being practiced and continuing on makes me so happy, we’ve lost basically all of our culture here as Native Americans and seeing Polynesians and Pacific Islanders as a whole still practicing and keeping true to your Native ways shows us how we could have been if we were able to keep just that much more of our culture left. Both of our cultures have basically been through the same hardships throughout history, even today, and as Polynesians, you guys fighting and being able to keep what is in my opinion one of the most unique and beautiful cultures in the world still alive and trying to keep it as lively as possible, really gives me hope for our Native peoples in the future👌🏽🤙🏽💪🏽✊🏽 Peace, love, and respect to you and all Polynesian brothers and sisters out there🤙🏽👌🏽💪🏽✊🏽

May I point out just how beautiful this culture is: not only are women involved, both young and old, being just as steadfast and strong as the men, but when the men come through, you not only have the young through to the old but even those with disabilities aren't left out (young man wearing NYC t-shirt). I mean, it's absolutely heartfelt and consuming. Tingles. Everywhere.

Ngai Tamanuhiri has a closer affliation to Ngati Porou than Rongo Whakaata has. Ngai Tamanuhiri goes from Manutuke to almost mahia.

This is awesome to watch. It must have really been something to experience and film. I have some exposure to the Cherokee Nation as I live 45 min from Cherokee, NC and actually visited the reservation before the casino went in, but never have I witnessed something this powerful. Great documentation. To me, this is pure raw human power at its finest. You can see it even in the young ones' eyes that they are ready to protect this earth with their lives and bare hands. Awesome.
This is taking part in new zealand, my native kin The maori do this when it comes to ceremony (A different haka to suit the ceremony) and in recent times to show protest. Funnily, we do have a relationship with native american communities as we do visit and are visited by them at times.
