- democracynow.org - On Saturday, hundreds of people temporarily stopped work at multiple construction sites at the site of the $3.8 billion Dakota Access pipeline. One person reportedly delayed work for up to six hours by locking to an excavator. At least 14 people were arrested. Democracy Now! began covering the action just after dawn, from the main resistance camp in Cannon Ball, North Dakota.

I don't understand why these police just won't stand together and say no they won't protect a pipeline and will protect the water protesters. it is so sad. we are one as humans and they are too protect us therefore protecting themselves.
CJin PA I agree. I work in construction and there is no way I would help build that damn thing. They can only oppress us if we participate in the oppression. There aren't enough CEO's in the world to build the pipeline if we refuse to help build and defend it. It is why for all of us who aren't 1% we must embrace solidarity because that is the only thing more powerful then their money.
yea my dad was a heavy equipment operator and I can't imagine a scenario in which he would work on a project like this. when I see that line if armed guards I can't imagine their motivation. they are also the 99%. what the hell could they be thinking. isn't one of them considering their children? it's sad. they'll be next somewhere down the line.

Conserve on gas or buy a hybrid car. Switch over to renewable and safe alternative energy as much as you can to defund the oil and coal companies. Your power to choose where you spend should not be overlooked. Together, the people are the ones who decide what company succeeds or fails.
