Wayward Jane - Liberty

Hi pals - here is a video of the song ‘Liberty’ from our new record ‘The Flood’, filmed in the studio while we were making the album. The song arose from one of those moments of awakening when the evening settles and strikes you into awareness in an arresting way and which then opens out onto a feeling of the interconnectedness of things, the sense that there is a hollowness to the notion of freedom while it is the preserve of some and remains denied to others.
The song’s refrain is ‘Liberty shall be a dream, while a single soul is still unfree’ and we hope that freedom and peace will overcome war and hate in the current conflict.
