All you need to do is sign up for their newsletter (which I suspect won't be anything, since the company is shutting down) and then you can download the plugins.
I used to record on 4 track cassette machines and they did not sound like that in anyway, can you even find a cassette player to compare it to? Know the truth.
Its supposed to emulate really old and worn down cassetes, also aging winding motors and play heads. You can add a much or as little of that "degradation" as you want. But it also adds a bit of soft clipping and saturation that you get from cassete, so you can use it for only that of you want.
