To me this episode was the beginning of so much. A glimpse into who Rose was that was deeper than we had yet seen. And it does show how different Steven is from his mother, which is going to be a running theme in many ways!

Fun fact: Bismuth despite the fact is a Crystal Gem as well as part of the Gem race; in real life Bismuth isn’t a type of gem at all; Bismuth is in fact a type of metal
@ Bismuth on her gem alone should be considered an anomaly, I remember back when this show aired there were some fan theories about an all male counterpart to the Gem Race called the Metal Race, hence why Yellow Diamond was adamant about having the cluster being complete as they may have been in some kind of war and Yellow is in charge of Homeworld’s military operations
“Gem” isn’t even a logical term, anything can be referred to as a gem depending on how much value it has, which is why we always use the term “gem” to refer to these rare colorful shiny rocks (yes, they’re just rocks, pricey rocks), this is also the reason why the gems in SU never referred to themselves as Jewels/Jewelry since that would actually exclude gems like Pearl and Bismuth.
Foreshadowing but upon being free bismuth instantly in a fighting stance. Plus the way she tests the water asking Steven if he remembers her. Also her comment on the curses sword. If it has unlimited power then of course you should use it.
Bismuth was one of the original Crystal Gems who fought during the great Gem War, but Rose had to bubble her away and lie to the others because she introduced a weapon that could harm gem-kind. Here is the Quirky; you may see her as a violent, misguided member of the heroes, but this is not the last you'll see her.
21:00 So according to Pearl Bismuth was lost 5,300 years ago, which was near the end of the war, and Garnet met 5,750 years ago, which was near the start of the war. So the colonization and subsequent Gem War lasted about 500 years from 3700 BC to 3200 BC. Human civilization was already happening by then. A little too early for the Egyptians, but the Sumerians had been around for a while. And Pearl mentions a battle for the Ziggurat, which is a type of Sumerian temple. All of this is to say; humans totally fought in the Gem War. Gem stuff is probably just ordinary boring history on this version of Earth. Which explains why nobody really seems to care that much about it.
garnet doesn't see the future, she sees possible futures. in the snow day episode u get to see steven experience multiple possible futures that didnt happen in the end.
Yeah, like the original series is very subtle about how strong steven is. It being more obvious in the movie and after. Due to them being so subtle with it makes it so when he does fight or tank something it feels WAY bigger than it actually is. I like that.
All of these problems wouldn't even exist if a certain someone wasn't too selfish and the choices that certain someone made is what angers me at times while watching this show again.
Yeah, but in this case it's pretty much impossible to win wars against the diamonds. Also I guess the act of killing them with the intent of freeing them contradicted itself.
Its the hard part of doing paralelisms to real life, in real life she's on the right because the evil of this world is irrediemable, but on Steven Universe she's wrong and got proven wrong by steven himself
Only time kxlling makes sense is against things like demons, zombies like from series like Dead Island and nothing else works for those like Putin but there's always ways to take down or incapacitate without resorting to those extremes.
You know this is what I have a problem with I get Steven doesn't like the idea of shattering a gem because that straight up murder but come on Steven you have to respect the person choice about deciding whether or not to kill someone let them live with it just make sure they don't overdo it and kill everyone they see all the time it not your responsibility to make sure everyone follows along with your no murder beliefs those few who are the same side as you who might do methods that are extremely and lethal deadly you may not approve but it's important to have a backup plan in case your way of fighting fails on a mission or your about to die you can't except to win every battle that you fight with the same merciful tactics at some point your enemy will figure out how you fight and devise a way to overcome your strategy then you're in hot water with almost no chance to escape so it's important to consider all possibilities of attack plans if you want to survive in a freak war.
Bismuth is one of the best episodes of the whole series. Her final line "then you really are better than her" absolutely destroyed me.😢😭💔
It was almost intense
And her development is AWESOME
6:16 here's your periodic reminder: Garnet does not see THE future, she sees POSSIBLE futures. She can't anticipate _everything_ .
Bismuth is revealed to be the one that poofed Lapis during the latter’s flashback in the episode Same Old World.

It's a pleasure doing Bismuth with you
25:29 love watching Bismuth's clothes randomly vanish when she says "Pearl" lmao
Now we know why. Even then she was willing to cook something nice with Pearl wearing nothing but that apron XD
Yeah the animators forgot to put pants I guess they're in the rush or something I don't know how come they did not see that
Rebecca recently confirmed that Rose and Bismuth were once a couple
WHHHHAAAAAAAAAAT???
@WraythSkitzofrenik Yeah, and Sadie and Amethyst were almost a

I could see it, Pearl did sing about how she didn't care for the people who came into her life "now and again"

I mean gems have metals in their composition anyway sooo...
Neither are pearls

I’m getting the feeling this won’t be the last we seen of Bismuth
The 23:58 mark in the bismuth episode was a reaction i didn't expected but gladly needed cause of y'all's reaction lol.
Oh god, the Bismuth episode...
Unfortunately this isn’t the only thing rose kept from the crystal gems. It’s just the beginning……
The thing about Bismuth is nothing compared to some of her other secrets
Don't worry, Uncle Grandpa spoiled it for us anyway.

Y’all notice how Steven tanked that rock bismuth threw at him and being slammed into the ground

It’s bismuth time
I have though Bismuth didn’t come until a little later this is when the show really starts to get serious ❤
Bismuth really changed the show.

Happy new year
I personally still think Bismuth was in the right. You can't win wars with singing and crying in real life.

Your forgetting about the part where they aren’t in a war right now. Plus with poofing being a concept theres no need to focus on shattering gems.
