I've been wanting a proper release of that first track since I heard it at warehouse project..that ending is pure rdj beauty......the second track seems to be an amalgamation of the first 10 or so minutes of that same show.
At this point I'm sure Richard D. James is just a normal alias and Aphex Twin itself is just music flowing through electrical circuitry, creating worlds of magical dimensions.
Great rip! Thanks. As for the tracks.. Really dig them. Essentially more analord but might actually like them a bit more.. dare I say. Great AFX acid right here.
Richards track are so defined by these classic drum machines and synths that I almost believe they invent them just for him. Its hard not to think about AFX by listening this sounds somewhere else.
I've always loved checking his stuff out at 3/4 or half speed, and even used one of his The Tuss works at 3/4 speed in a video project... it always holds up. Man's a genius I wish youtube's option didn't garble it so much
He does that sometimes with his music- like Comp Controlled Acoustics says on the sticker 33 rpm or 45 rpm, MARCHROMT30a has a fast and slow variant, and his Seefeel remix of Time To Find Me has a fast and slow mix
listening to fantastic Aphex i haven't heard before on youtube with a solid orange background image reminds me of batalsdr -- god bless that wonderful curator and the archivists who preserved what they could of the collection
I had the opportunity to buyit at Sonar, but the Afx junkies disgusted me. Pushing hard in the queue to get the cards. The tracks are ok but far away from his best works. 40E for a tishirt, 35 for a tote bag with afx logo. Sometimes, the talent got limit lol. Great show btw, the sound was perfect instead of Bicep lol
I love that this is a self release 10" record, like even though he still heavily works with Warp, Blackbox was distributed by Warp, but this little two track is an off the books release- and like it's legitimately rare, you could only get this record at Sonar I believe - I literally didn't know this existed until i was combing his discogs and saw there was more than one 2023 vinyl release by him. he after all these years is still dropping like physically released hidden gems - it's giving HAB's vinyl rollout vibes
What a glorious day to have ears!
we gotta be grateful for what we have 🙌
@@happyaccident2263 i want more ears
@gungeligung where we're going, we don't need ears to hear.

That first track is such a banger. How does this man create such simple, yet such stimulating melodies every single time?
@gungeligungnah dawg! Every. Single. Time.

@gungeligunglmaooo got em
@@camorraII1I mean he also makes complicated or calming songs too
simple?
Aphex always captures ambient sounds from the deep corners of my dreams so I can listen to them when I wake up
He just can't get enough of those old school drum machines and acid basslines :)
I suspect he made this track a long time ago.
once again showing us humans how to use this machines properly
Neither can we

so glad the first song has finally gotten some kind of release, used to listen to it a ton during mid-2021, good shit
I hope tha2 will be next to gain some type of "official" cut
RFC seriously needs to be released on Spotify. Best AFX tune in years.
This makes me want to explore how deep my hole really goes

Knew I’d heard this somewhere before
Record selling for over 350€ damn💀 enjoy it here people
Thank you for your sacrifice
I have the vinyl and it's no way i will sell it xD
These records will be gaining in value like gold, hang onto them
That price is crazy for any record, but for one as short as this, even more so. Make it make sense.
It dropped
its like the panning of the bass are insects crawling around in my headphones and its incredible
thanks for taking the care to re-up in HD stereo. very kind of you
160kbs isn't THAT high quality (even though it's the best youtube allows). You'd be better off downloading the lossless version.

been listening so much this for the past couple weeks. really hope he releases this digitally as well:))
To me track 2 is the real gem. Sounds like early Dance Mania 909s

He absolutely played that second track at some of his shows during this tour! i heard it in Sweden at his show there!
Second one was definitely in the Sweden concert
Its like he never went away coming to the fore with his old skool acid and boy does it pack some punch!! Don't disappear ever Richard.

It's unique yet sounds familiar
These tracks are so Analord, I'm glad Richard's still giving the old equipment a run.
10/10 Effects Twine

okay I could hear that
thank you 🫡
nice
Damn I've been listening to them both half speed on vinyl. Kinda like it better that way
You have a record player that has 22 1/2 as a speed?
I assume you meant 74.1% speed rather than half speed.
