For this family home in Hermanus, the focus is on entertaining - for every mood. Parts of the house’s interiors were designed to be light and airy to reflect Hermanus’s atmosphere of serenity. At the same time, darker, more dramatic spaces were created to contrast with this environment, and offer areas in which to retreat when the mood dictates a shift.
Open-plan living, with modular sofas that allow as many guests to be seated as possible, offers a natural flow, with a neutral palette that augments the feeling of spaciousness.
Statement elements stand out in every room - from vibrant wallpaper and hand-cast tiles to custom countertops and unique pieces of furniture.
