Hey Teach, during the Tamed Dino settings section (Stats per level, Add per level and Stat Affinity), you only mentioned that anything higher than 1 is better. However, you never touched on the Health part, which has the unusual 0.0X settings. They are not starting at 1. Does making them a larger number also have the better effect on stats?
This was the same in ARK:SE. This bit is something stupid regarding the way the stat values are coded in the game.
It SHOULD be 1 for everything, but if you try setting those Health and Damage values to 1, you'll end up with low level tames that are infinitely stronger than Alpha Rexes, or even Bosses...
I noticed this in ARK:SE with Ragnarok map adding Griffons, and after taming one it's Tamed HP was LOWER than the wild HP it had while unconscious... it's a flawed balancing mechanic.
I currently have it set in my Singleplayer for ARK:SA, for the 'stats per level' and 'add per level', I upped both values to 0.15, and the 'Stat Affinity' to 0.3. This will be a noticeable buff to your tamed dinos, but far from being broken or unbalanced, so you can still get a fair experience. (in my opinion)

These are NOT Single Player Setting. It takes like 15 hours for creatures to mate and imprint.
Keep Single Player Settings on perhaps.

I spent an hour looking for somebody who could teach me this put a 5 minutes by just pressing this video
Here for imprint settings to increase. For example my rex imprints for 9% every 2 minutes. Id prefer to imprint it for 25% every 30 min or so would be PERFECT. I want it to match online, where you can walk away and still get imprints
From what I can figure it's based on the mature percentage when the cuddle interval is done for how much imprinting percent you get. It would probably need to be 20-25% mature when the cuddle timer comes up to get that 25% imprinting bonus each time.
If it's a hair over 50% you only need to cuddle once for the full 100%. It's unfortunately a matter of messing around with the settings to find the right numbers.

PRO TIP: If you want 150 dinos to spawn on your map turn Maximum Difficulty to ON.

Was really hoping he would go into the tamed dino setting like he stated early in the video that hed go through everything. Im having so much trouble with these settings cause I dont understand what they mean and my pteranodon gained 1 stamina from an upgrade and I dont know why

Same. Metal, obsidian, silica pearls etc. do not respawn in my game. Trees and bushes do.

How can i delete a modded map that i have downloaded without deleting the island map? Bc when i click there, it says "delete all ARKs" so im just too scared to click it bc i dont wanna risk losing my the island progress

Teach I'm playing with xbox and we single players seem to experience save file issues. I ended up deleting my save files.
Same I as well am on Xbox I seen where someone said to put in the destroywilddinos command and it will save your game. I tried it and it works so far
What happens to your single player save when new stuff gets added to the game? And how do mods work in Ark? Is it like Skyrim where if you're not careful you'll break your game? And will we need to ascend in order to play single player on future maps like in ASE?
You never had to ascend to play new maps in single player

Thanks for this vid! I'll be a first time player when it finally releases here on ps5. I plan on playing with friends in non dedicated server on my end. Does their character progression save to my game file? Or do they have their own character progression that just loads into my world? Trying to figure out the best way of playing PvE with friends without needing to worry about us losing our progression / server wipes.
to answer your question, no everything is saved to the world that you create on your ps5. however, i would recommend paying for a dedicated server if youre gonna play regularly as it runs so much smoother and your friends wont be relying on you to be online and in the world in order to play
@@finnpugsley5662 yeah I dont know how committed my friends are gonna be yet so likely not worth it. I plan on playing a ton though, maybe find a good unofficial server or is that likely to get wiped as well?
problem with unofficial servers is you cant reliably play on them, theres someone on the other side paying for it so as soon as its not in their interest to they will likely shut it down. you might be better off trying an official server on a wipe day? some servers wipe monthly or every few months but i dont normally play on those. another good option is youtubers servers, good is teachersgametoo, that server should be up consistently

@@finnpugsley5662 thanks for the response! I'm definitely interested in the building aspect so hearing an official server gets wiped that often ruins my commitment to wanting to build. I watch his vids! Would have to figure out how to join. I guess we'll stick with non dedicated for now
Driving me absolutely bonkers that i cant disable the hud permanently. Even in sp theres an option to fully remove it. Force no hud. Load in... Hud. And the other way it turns the hud back on everytime i get on a dino or off. I do not get it at all.

Can someone please help me? I have two things one where if you put mods on one single player and you want to play another one, but you have to remove those mods but everything on the map you have the mod on goes away. My second thing is can you have two separate savedsettings folders because I have to keep changing my settings how I want them to be in the other single player or non-dedicated I want to someone please help me
Bro my settings dont work when i change them and it dosent matter how much i change them they just act like there deffault what do i do ive already deleted my game and world?
Can you change settings and add or remove mods from an already started single player so that the next time you load in, your character and buildings/tames are still there but your new mods and settings are applied?
You can add mods and change settings without starting over idk bout removing mods

Buy a series x, a good router, a good ISP and hardwire your unit. I haven't crashed a single time yet and I'm playing many many hours straight.
If you're playing single player just launch game without battle eye as that can help.
Also there's a few settings that can be changed. I forget exactly but one was something to to with interaction. Also turn down inventory sounds.
Keep searching online for fixes you'll figure it out. I haven't crashed for awhile now.
I'm on pc running a rtx 4070 and a ryzen 5950x with or without battle eye it crashes. I've verified files and redownloaded twice. And my internet has never been a problem. I'm out of ideas.

Does ARK: Survival Ascended have text sizes? The original has tiny texts that are barely readable to the point where my wife and I just don't play it anymore. We like ARK and was hoping if you or anyone know if you can adjust the text sizes? We play in Split-Screen Co-Op Mode on XBox Series X. Thanks in advance.
Idk if this is happening to anyone but whether I go and change my settings. It changes but when I go in and back out it going back to default. Idk if this is a bug for ps5 or idk it’s frustrating. Idk if it’s happening to anyone

I just wish they fixed the dino spawns. Trying to find dinos is a mission of itself. I know single player has to do it differently but jeez, imagine wishing to find dinos in the dino game.
If you haven't already, you should check out the mod called: DinoPing Tracker (singleplayer)
Put -preventhibernation into the launch parameter. That should sort that issue.
I struggled to find dinos anywhere that I hadn't spent much time near then turned this on, and dinos are all across the map. It means that the whole map is able to load in new dinos if the area is under the limit.

How do you change fuel consumption speed ?
Higher numbers in fuel consumption means slower burn/use time. I.E. wood in a fire or gas in a generator will be consumed much quicker at 0.1and burn or last much longer at say a 5.

i recommend the better dino levels mod. the island in general is trash for getting high levels.

I don't know why, but I get no eggs at all (PS5). I set the egg laying speed to 6 and have three female rexes, an oviraptor on wandering and a male rex. I need those eggs for special kibble, but the rexes won't lay any eggs even after 3 hours staying at my base.
Does anyone have this problem, too, or can it be an issue with the automated ark mod?

@@stoneydionne3706 change it to 0.01, and you'll see that the hint is wrong. The lower the value, the smaller the interval.
I watched the video to get help on the wild and tamed Dino stats and you glide right over them without explaining, litterally the whole premise of the video. Why?
Imprint at 5 and baby mature speed at .05
If you have single player settings turned on it changes this so test it out see how it works
