Good explanation...Maddog performance is excellent however one more downside of Maddog is the metal body is prone to damage in humid conditions..I would anyway prefer Maddog ov Hjg...As it's Indian made too
Love the video and the info you gave! I was really looking for this info, thanks again! I have a question though, would like to know from where you have purchased the new clamp on which you have put Alpha?
Hello Abhay, That's a good ask. The answer is no. Incase of a fall, there's no impact on the lights as the Crash Guard and the Handlebar are extended enough to guard the lights. Hope that answers you query. If you have any other queries, please do reach out. Cheers!
None whatsoever, provided you have the proper harnessing done along with a dedicated relay. I have not experienced any issues as I have used it quite a bit during my Ladakh Dobara.
ScoutX does 60% of the job very well. It's good for city and similar conditions. In hilly and highway conditions, the additional lighting is quite helpful and is fulfilled by Alpha.
HI Som want to ask you if changing a air filter ( eg KnN ) effect or enhance the performance of the bike if your silencer is stock. Is it worth to change ,does the bike feel more smooth to ride. TIA
There will be a little difference, but I would suggest just cleaning your stock air filter at regular intervals, and changing it when the manual tells you to
Absolutely Sanjay, they make a difference. Question is about the cost vs value equation. Does really really make a significant difference? I wonder. No one has ever mathematically measured it to prove the idea. Hence, I am still on stock.
Last night on way to Chandigarh, I used them wherever the street lights were not there. No impact on the battery. Howwver, once while honking, there was a minor dip in its sound. Rest all good.
What is legal ... Aux lights? The law doesn't differentiate between Aux and Fog lights. Hence, if you put a Yellow filter on Aux, it becomes a Fog light. IPC is as complicated as it is.
@@WanderingSom Then what is the point of buying these lights if we are going to get caught and get fined/ tickets? These are expensive and then we need to pay for tickets after fixing them 🙄
I completely agree with you regarding lights getting dirty or a stone hitting the glass. Look at it from a practical usability perspective. First, if the light is to be used as a fog lamp, it cannot go higher than 24" from the ground; otherwise, it is not effective. Second, the auxiliary lamps are very powerful, and when placed next to the headlight, the beam goes almost parallel to the ground, adversely affecting oncoming traffic. Lastly, according to the law, you can only put a fog light on your vehicle, not an auxiliary light. And fog lamps need to be closer to the ground (refer to the first point). Bearing all the above in mind, I concluded on the position of the lights. I hope I am able to provide a proper response. Cheers!
Hello Sanjay, thanks for your feedback, it was a new transition style. I get it that you didn't like it. I am sure it was there every 30 seconds, that got pushed a bit too far 😳. Thanks once again for watching and sharing your feedback. Appreciate it.

I went with deltas as I heard that 60 watts is the legal limit, does the job and bright enough
Delta is also very good.
Hi Som,
Where did you get hoding brackets for light's and if possible can you give cost of lights.
@Bikeaholic, Noida
Well researched as always
Thank you Sid 😊

Hello there, I got both the lights and the mounts from Bikeaholic, Noida.
Super precious
Hi sir, in the situation of falling does it directly affect fog light ever? With crash guard. Assume light fall or something.

Does these alpha lights create low battery warning or stress warning even when the engine is running for a while?
Even I have the same question. I don't know if it's the battery or the mad dogs or some electrical issue in the bike

Did you find the Maddog Scout-X inadequate for your needs?

Glad you liked it!
Sir which model prospec windscreen extender u used ?
It's referred as the extender for Himalayan 450 ... don't know it has a specific name.
I might not use it, and might sell. If interested, lemme know.
These fit the Honda CB 350RS. And it will manage Battery capacity
Yes ofcourse.

Didn't quite the question, pl detail it out.
Battery drain issue ?

Nice informative video ❤
Par light ka power dikhate toh achha hota....
Very difficult to show that, and the camera doesn't do it proper justice.

Not ideal position, lights will easily attract dirt and chances of stone hit is most likely.
U should fit near headlight
