- From Sharon Moldavi / sharonmoldavi , reuploaded with an English title and description (if you'd like it removed, please just ask me, merely archiving). Lovely interview. Here is his description roughly translated:
"My interview with David Bowie. June 1996, I was sent to interview him in New York for Yedioth Ahronoth, a month before he appeared in Hayarkon Park. 47th floor, can't remember which hotel in Mid-Town, there are 34 minutes and 34 seconds yet to be seen of Bowie in all its charm in sound and appearance, with my excited voice... How much life, wisdom, humor and depth: Bowie talks about his roots in art, spiritual search, Drugs, Religions, Awareness, Shyness, Acting, Wife Coach, Iggy Pop, Little Richard, Scott Walker, John Coltrane, Lindsay Camp, Brian Ino, Nine Inch Nails, Enjoyment of Performances, Love of Painting and Drawing, Writing His Songs. And from the 29th minute also about all the characters he invented in the seventies, sexuality, feelings of inferiority, and ingenuity and imagination. And at the end he says he sees the light at the end of the tunnel... loves you terribly and already misses... Thank you, Master, for all the life you have given in all the life you have lived..."
Bowie is by far the most generous, inspiring, and outrageous person in the most amazing way. he will be remembered for eternity
Bowie is so funny I love the way wen an interviewer asks him a stupid question he gives them a real silly funny answer 😆 🤣 Brilliant artist & personality 🎷
I COULD LISYEN TO David bowie talk for hours. Love his voice and accent. He was so clever and half the time in his interviews,HeSeems to outwit his interviewer. HE will be missed.
So true!! So handsome ( as always) in this Interview. I love bowie interviews I can listen to him talk all day too💖
That was a GREAT interview and I got the sense that David was enjoying himself.
Gail is doing her hair? How funny! She has none!! LOL
He sees the light at the end of the tunnel...he just hopes it's not another train! Bowie was so quick witted. I don't think the interviewer caught that. It took the lady in the room a few minutes to do so!
Fab stuff.
He was a genius. Very soft spoken, down to earth, a bit shy and definitely intelligent. I loved listening to him talk.
Thank you so much for posting this. Really great! Watched tons of his interviews but never seen this. Sounds like his biography that talked by himself. Truely enjoyed. Thank you again.
My inspiration ❤️
Wonderful....thanks...love Bowie forever
Thaaaaaanks, this is great 👍🏻

Of course he was enjoying himself he's always appeared to be quite happy you had a 40-year old relationship any Mayday work then he done a fine job of bringing you some up overall is a very good father

Rock god
Gail doing her hair? - surely not, in 1996. She had a great look/style that didn't involve doing her hair (backstage).
This was a great interview! But was that the interviewer who kept sighing?
that's what I thought too but I think he was just exhaling his cigarette smoke. There was some smoke drifting into frame so he seemed to be smoking too.
Sharon smokes more than David and Coco interrupts the interview ... Damn!
