Timekettle was really nice and gave a discount to my viewers! I am not an affiliate so I make nothing if people purchase, but I am so grateful that they gave a discount! Amazon: amz.run/6UFr Code: DRLAWAY15 (15% OFF) Official Website: bityl.co/HeTf Code: DRLAWAY15 (15% OFF)
Thx for the demonstration! I hope you're able to give an update after a few weeks of using it in day to day situations. I'm very interested in how it will work out.
Very cool gadget. I'd love to have one for my upcoming trip to Egypt. Is the translator limited to basic "tourist" type questions or can it handle more deeper conversational sentences and local idomatic expressions such as "He's a chip off the ole block", "You hit the nail on the head", "He has alot on his plate." etc? Great review. Thanks for sharing that new device.
Man I'm excited to watch this... Hopefully this works better than google translate... Bisaya seems like Russian, 15 different meanings for everything and Google still has more than it can handle with even Polish! Edit: talking slower and louder makes the device understand you with more accuracy? So just like when mom talks to my in-laws lolol
a good useful device for sure... however, pricy, and the 2 years of data included, means after two years you're on your own... and data plans are expensive indeed...
Hello dear, we will update the recharge plan soon. However, as the translator only uses the data for the translation function, and all of the other tasks like the website, and communication will be turned off, it won't cost much. And you can also use wifi or a hotspot instead.
@@TimekettleTech thank you for monitoring and following up, that shows you guys really care, and it's great to see that... by "updating recharge plans" I hope you mean reducing the prices... WiFi and hotspots are not always an option, more often than not, on the street, in the market, in a mall, in a bus, etc., etc., etc. there is no WiFi when you need it, and one cannot drag a random person in a coffee shop with WiFi, just to ask for directions... and clearly in the Philippines, especially in the province, there is no WiFi or hotspots, and that is a problem not only there, but in many other countries too, so it's unwise to rely on a WiFi or hotspot that's not available... solution?? less expensive and lower recharge plans... WiFi and/or hotspots are not a viable solution...
@@gabeghiby6935 Hello friend, thank you so much for your attention. Yes, we will update the plan with a low price, we will work with operator service and open the data only for the translation function, which is far less than the SIM card price we usually have with the smartphone. And I suppose this is the most favorable option for somewhere with relatively bad internet like the Philippines.🥰
You know what would set that device apart? Tone. If you can somehow capture the person's tone of voice and translate what they meant instead of just what they said. You're welcome. That'll be 35M USD.
They can be the same but in general Tagalog is the older pure language. Filipino is more the current language as Tagalog evolves and becomes somewhat “Taglish”. So, Filipino is a thing indeed. I learned that very quickly as I began learned Tagalog well over a decade ago.

Absolutely brilliant. Japan has also brought out their own translator device.
I just did the same thing with Google translator app. Just basic phrases. It has a voice translation option as well as text.

Will do!
A good start to learn Tagalog Counsellor.
I hope so!

Hello friend, thank you so much for watching! It works pretty well with Polish.
I looked into Babble, they don't do tabalog. I will look into this one....
It is AI it will learn your voice in time and work better, Pretty Cool gadget, Thanks for sharing, Belus Traveller Leyte
That seems to be the case, the more I use it the better it seems to work. Maybe I am just more aware to talk clearer
Aren’t there apps for the iPhone and android that do the same thing equally as well?

Take it on the street!😊
As a professional judicial interpreter, these kinds of devices make me a bit nervous.
how to buy this device here in the phillippines?
If I am in Vietnam, can both myself and the waitor/ress use it fluidly without having to push the button settings?
That's a great question 🤔
Yes, actually it does! It has the chat mode, and you just place the device between you and the waitor/ress. You can talk freely.

Tagalog: Gud Morning Po.
Hahaha.
waiting to see how it does with Thai
Hello, it does a good job with Thai. You can search for Fluentalk T1 to other's video.
I am as well. Can't wait to try it next time I go.
So if you travel foriegn country DON'T HAVE internet connection it does not work
That is not correct. The fact that it does work for many languages offline is a clear advantage. I cover that in the video
I gather Google Translate is a bit hit & miss..??
Oh wow can I order one on Amazon? And how much are they

Does it only do tagalog or does it do bisyan or cebauna?
Currently Filipino/Tagalog
But on their website Tagalog is not on the list of languages???????@DrLawaytravels
how about male voice features
Hello dear, the translation voice is the default setting.:)
How much Philippines Piso
The 60,000 dollar question is, can it translate a scottish accent to Tagalog ? lol
Good question! It did okay with Hillbilly English LOL
