- In this travel vlog, I explain why I am spending Tet (Tết) holiday with my ex gf’s family in Phan Rang, Ninh Thuan, Vietnam.
This was a question asked in several comments from you all and I wanted to make a vlog to fully explain and address it.
I also address another question asked in the comments about why I decided to move out of Co Giang Ward of District 1, HCMC to Phu Nhuan.
Along the way I walk on a major street here in Phan Rang-Thap Cham until I find a dirt road that leads to a major river called the Cai River (Sông Cái). While on the river I answer the questions I presented above, and I also tell some other stories from my life.
This was a surprisingly beautiful and therapeutic walk. The natural beauty here is stunning especially in comparison to the concrete jungle which is Saigon, VN.
I’m extremely grateful to be here spending Tet holiday with Trang and her family, and that they were gracious enough to invite me to their home to spend the holiday with them again.
I look forward to making more vlogs about this trip to the countryside of Vietnam.

I don't know the two of you very well other than what I see on your videos, but I know that it is rare to find a Vietnamese girlfriend who can speaks english as well as your ex-girlfriend. It is even rarer to find a woman in Vietnam who you can express true feelings to each other in a common language. Google translator will not bridge the language barrier. Nice vlog, Tyler. A bit longer than it needed to be but it’s cool. Life in the province is a 180 degree from the city in terms of pace and ambience. Before settling in the US, my family was from a province there. We lived off the land and my dad was a fisherman. Most people head out of the city during Tet to spend quality time with family since the holiday is like 2 weeks long.
It’s very nice of your ex and her family to invite you to spend the holiday with them. It shows how important you are to them. I wish you the best and hope things will work out for you and your ex.

Any relationship can be hard. I recommend everyone to work through the red flags, yellow flags, and any problems. And don't expect anyone else to be the superhero that saves the relationship; be the superhero.
After a decade, we got issues that can never be resolved but we keep going.

My grandmother lived in Phan Rang. But never got a chance to visit there because she alway visited us in Nha Trang .
Now she passed away.
