Fans complaining about the game being at 30fps is just plain stupid to me.
Same but I think they are completely how the visuals make the game run at 30fps and I think it’s so very frames animated is smoother and I don’t understand why fans are complaining about that like the Mario and Luigi fan never complained about the bowser inside story remake runs at 30pfs so I just don’t understand why the they complain about TTYD remake bot being 60fps like that original game

@@mk8-mkwil117im not sure if you were ACTUALLY around when BISR was released but the fanbase hated that game. It wasn't even a CONSISTENT 30 fps. It would drop a lot. Not to mention its a remake of a game you could ALREADY PLAY ON 3DS! It was so bad it killed Alphadream. Don't pretend Mario and Luigi fans weren't complaining.

the problems with modern paper mario are character limitation and bad battle mechanics.
Sticker star and Color splash were notorious for the lack of individual and unique characters, origami king tried at least to compensate but ultimately the humor did not carry the games
You could argue about the battle mechanics all day but from sticker star onwards battles just weren't fun anymore, they had no appeal and became mandatory roadblocks instead of fun challenges. They should have been removed and replaced with puzzle overworld boss segments and normal puzzles
SPM is more a spinoff than a main series title in that regard, it did something different but was a cohesiv and fun experience that was wholesome and fun to engage with, nothing felt like a drag except maybe the return to chapter 6 after the world was ruined man that long walk really was overkill
but sticker star and later entries gave you more and more reasons to avoid the battle mechanic all together, running into an enemy and fleeing despawned them so no need to battle, they only gave coins, attacks were limited and you could run out of them. DOing battle hardly gave you a reward needed to progress, you were fine skipping them for the most part and that's just flawed.
Well the wii also sold like 3 times the amount of units. the GC simply had no instalbase and PM TTYD was released shortly before the console died... The remake already had periods where it was sold out on american Amazon, I can tell that the remake might outsell the entire series due to the enormous switch instalbase.
Pretty sure people wouldn't have minded a sequel to SPM too just saying anything but what sticker star was.
the fact people were pissed at sticker star too was that it was literally shaping up to be a TTYD sequel and then suddenly when the fire natio--- I mean changes happened... like nobody could have foreseen that.
Color Splash didn’t have unique characters visually, but the personalities of each of the characters I would say make a pretty big impact in a positive way.
@@CocatGaming I kind of share the sentiment. Color Splash almost proved to me that the Paper Mario games could still be entertaining even if it's arguably boiled down to "oops, all Toads!" because, to me, the general Mario-style goofiness and humor still shone through.
This. Especially the character stuff, you can't just do the whole "mario toads peach bowser" boring garbage in an RPG. It doesn't cut it. Honestly it doesn't even cut it in the freaking platformers it's so overused and tired.

I am a Super Paper Mario fan and I am completely satisfied. It is one game and that is all I ever need it to be, I don’t need a sequel, I don’t need a remaster, I just need a copy of it and my Wii to keep it going. It has all the lore, characters and worldbuilding I ever wanted and nothing will ruin it now that I have it in my hands 😌
Ok Zoomer, the only reason Paper Mario became what it was is because Nintendo wanted to make a sequel to Super Mario RPG but because the N64 was marketed as a 3D console, they had to justify why a bunch of 2D sprites were walking around in a 3D environment

My biggest fear is that because of all of this nitpicking, Nintendo may never make Paper Mario games like thousand year door again since they can't ever please everyone who wants it.
The funny thing is, if they just made a new paper mario game in the first place , none of this would have been an issue.

The worst part is that Vivian is now stuck between a rock and a hard place: If they keep the original translation, they'll act like Nintendo's gone Woke, but if they change it, they're being "Anti-Woke".
Vivian wasn't even trans in the original, the word they call him in japanese means "feminine man", vivian's sisters just made fun of him for his personality
@@arzfan29 to me it sounds more like they were calling here ugly. I grew up in the 90's and telling a girl she looked like a man had NOTHING to do with homosexuality or transgender stuff. It was an insult of calling a girl ugly. To me that's what it sounds like was going on and people today are just looking for gay heroes so they are reading all of their ideologies into it. But the again, Japan is really really weird and perverted so it wouldn't surprise me.

that’s what worries me the most. not only nintendo, but also beldam’s character is at risk at being considered “transphobic”, which is sad imo since i love villains and prefer beldam over vivian any day (i refer to vivian as a female, but that doesn’t mean i should like her. i hate that crybaby)
Super Paper Mario is my favorite in the series. I was never a HUGE fan of turn based rpgs, although I will deal with them for Mario games alone. I love Paper Mario 64...never played TTYD. I have always wanted to because of hearing how good it was, but never could get myself to buy a copy for $150+ so I'm really excited about finally being able to play it. Never had a Wii U so don't know anything about Color Splash or Sticker Star. I actually really enjoyed Origami King though too. I doubt anything will compare to SPM for me because I loved not having to stop the action for turn based gameplay, but I'm stoked to get to play TTYD after all these years.
Yeh, Super Paper Mario was freaking amazing. I honestly wish they would re-release it sometime, but that unfortunately seems unlikely.
Like you, I'm also usually not a fan of turn-based RPGs either, but TTYD somehow manages to be an exception to that, and one of my favorite games of all time. You're in for a sweet treat with this one.

As a Paper Mario fan myself, I'm not like those people. My Favourite AAA RPG finally got a remake and I'm gonna buy it as soon as It releases. I can't believe that people started a drama just because the game runs at 30fps and the censorship of a single scene.
I'm satisfied and happy with paper mario rn, just in case anybody out there needed to hear someone say it.
This could have easily been a port and it would have still got me thrilled, but we got so much more.

I'm happy for anyone excited for the Paper Mario TTYD remake, but I, along with 12 other people worldwide, are looking forward to Luigi's Mansion 2 HD much more. I know it's not even the best in it's series, but I never had any of the DS or 3DS systems, while I grew up alongside the GameCube.

While I don't think it'll have a huge impact the game sales I think it's worth mentioning that I've seen a lot of younger paper Mario fans say they aren't going to support the upcoming remake because of how the oldet fans have treated them over the years and I honestly completely understand where they're coming from and i am debating on whether I even get the game myself for the same reason
It's kind of ironic because Due to their love of the older games they have behaved very hostile at times to younger fans who really like the newer games which has lead to a divide between those parts of the fandom and that could end up hurting them at times like this

And the fact that people complain so much about how this game is running at 30FPS…when it’s probably using the engine that TOK uses. People are refusing to buy a game based on it running at a concurring framerate
I genuinely had one person try to argue that playing on lower framerates makes people dumber, and that "there's a reason smart people like higher framerates" it was so random and so absurd. This fandom is beyond help at this point.

I personally Believe Super Mario RPG is Overrated, don't get me wrong I love it, but in comparison to the other Mario RPG Games it's honestly worse
Whereas I believe Paper Mario and M&L are either Underrated perfectly rated, or Overhated Depending on the Game
I still think Paper Mario (the original) is hands down Mario's best RPG. It perfectly translated the soul and charm of Mario into rpg format, in such a whimsical and endearing way that no other Mario RPG has, one of my favorite games of all time
@@linus6718 TTYD Expanded Greatly on that Original Concept and Super Paper Mario tried(And to ab extent succeeded in ways while failing in others)to combine it with Regular 2D Mario games With Mario & Luigi Making the Bond between the Titular Characters clear
@@Mario31802 TTYD was a great sequel in terms of battle mechanics and story, it just feels like the smaller adventure compared to Paper Mario's imo.
PM's pacing, overworld, atmosphere, and snappy battle system were nearly flawless for me tbh. It feels like the best of every world here. TTYD has a greater focus on characters and story (which it does a damn good job at), but it feels like a much slower and redundant adventure where you go back and forth between the same map more than you actually, well, adventure
Paper Mario fans are satisfied. I know they pretend to be us, but don't mistake us for the TTYD fans.
ttyd is my favorite paper mario and imo its overrated. i think the reason why people like it so much is because its the last paper mario game like this so they only have 64 to compare it to and cant see how it could be done better
the most exciting thing to me about the remake is how it could get nintendo to make more old style paper mario games with the strengths of the new ones

64 was honestly better than ttyd, ttyd was rushed and it shows in many areas, like the porrly thought out aspect of ranking up the stage making it just give more negative results

In my opinion the series is just overrated because of TTYD and the game itself is overrated. I feel like Nintendo should’ve made a Mario and Luigi game remake.
I've only played Origami King to completion and enjoyed it.
Super Paper Mario was originally supposed to be on GameCube hence it was different to separate it from The Thousand Year Door.
Bro the last 2 mario & luigi games were remakes and that (as well as them being on the 3ds when it was dying or already dead) brought alphadream to bankruptcy 💀

@@coltonk.3086 It isn't. It has unique characters, a great soundtrack, one of the best stories in any mario game and amazing turn based combat.
Its a masterpiece, but nobody ever said its perfect. Thats where the "overrated" part comes from, people think saying a game is a masterpiece is equal to saying a game has no flaws. For me personally, backtracking is a big issue TTYD has, but it still is an amazing game regardless
Im not worried because I know i'll be enjoying an awesome remake of one of my favorite games ever while all of these "fans" miss out.
