As long as you fish the "slot" the fish WILL come back. However, the commercial fishing basically negates all the good sport fisherman do during the season.
Grate video and a lot of good information too no about the wallies and all the other fish the lake has changed so much sence I was a kid in the late 60's and 70 's the for the information godbless yall
Yes they are some but thair is still a lot of them but when I was a,little kid thair was a ton of smelt but over harvesting and the walleyes eating them too thair isn't as many
Even a lake as big as Erie might have too much fishing pressure. Some fishermen get way too greedy with what they're keeping..that could be part of the problem..slot limits may eventually become necessary..but that never seems to work in many places its tried..millelacs in Minnesota comes to mind.
Yes they will in deed I Live in Michigan by the Huron River in flatrock and we get some nice size ones from there and all the the way up too the second dam on the river at I 94 and Haggerty road at the east end of Bellville lake

The hatch numbers don't mean shit to these people as long as the revenue stream doesn't dry up.
