Thanks for such an in-depth review of the cases. I would usually just pick up the Defender Otterbox case however this time I wanna show off the blue color so I bought the Casetify clear case and my god I didn't know it would get so much fingerprint/oily in the back and thus I don't like it (the sides provide an amazingly good grip though). Gonna try the Ringke matte clear and see if it doesn't get as oily as the Casetify and if it does I guess I'll just get the blue Google case.

Great comparisson, i have the Tauri case from Amazon, i like it, my version also has magsafe on it. the only thing that was strange to me they included a 10H very thick lens proterction glass separate but the is no tiny cutout for the back microphone. I now tested the phone at a music festival and at some camera zoomlevels the sound is heavely muted. I think its because there is no cuttout for the back microphone so i will i removed that lens protector again and will test again at a festival to make a sound video.

I have the Spigen Ultra Hybrid Zero One case for my 8 Pro. I also had the Spigen Ultra Hybrid Clear Case before for my Pixel 6a which went yellow after about 1 year. As for my 8 Pro, I also have the Poetic Neon MagPro case in my wishlist that has a MagSafe ring that also doubles as a kickstand.
Clear TPU will always yellow, it's just a matter of time. Black TPU + clear polycarbonate is the best balance of longevity while maintaining a clear back. It's a shame Ringke hasn't come out with a Fusion Bold for the Pixel 8 as I feel that's a great case on the iPhone 15.
The case makers will release 100 iphone cases and 3 pixel cases....But pixel cases are definately higher quality this round.

The hummix cases don't allow you to wireless charge because the MagSafe ring is not aligned properly. I would avoid it. I returned mines.

Thanks for sharing. I didn't have any issues but if the wireless charge isn't working, return asap! Magsafe is a work in progress for pixels right now.
Any case where the magsafe ring is centered on the Google G will not be aligned with the charging coil. Have to return my caseborne for this reason.
Thanks for the great Comparison. Can you please suggest which one has the least lip bezel size in the front and also which one is the slimmest. I like minimalist cases and do not care much about the protection.

@TheFrenchGlow which one of the clear cases would you say is the most resistant to fingerprints? Including the Ringke one which didn't make it in time for this video
It's a tie between the spigen and the oterkin. The back covers resist fingerprints the best. I just tried and tested for 10 mins on phone.
Wondering which of these would you say is the MOST protective other than OtterBox? I have a ringke for my current s22+ but once I switch to pixel 8 pro I'd love to know what you'd recommend as I'm hella clumsy and drop my phone a lot.
I just got the Ringke for the pixel 8 pro but it didn't make it in time for this video. I would go with the oterkin. This case is a tank and has extra padding in the corners and for camera bump. Bumpers are the thickest for the price. Not otterbox thick but close.
Early reports of the Oterkin indicate partial camera blocking on the rear. I'd steer clear of that case until that's confirmed not an issue.
Since you have both, does the symmetry have about double the camera lens bezel height than the defender?
Hi! Yes definitely double but feels even more substantial.
if the g is in the center of your magsafe ring you need to lower it by 1/4 of an inch or return the product and get one that's properly placed. that's the reason your phone keeps getting hot while Mag safe heating.
Are there any thin cases for the pixel 8? I'm using a case that's just shy of a millimeter thin on my current phone and it's my favorite type of case.

I use a Dbrand ghost case, very clear & grippy and has super strong magnets but it is pricy at $50 plus a month and a half-wait
Have you tried the HUMIXX or the Torras with Magsafe charger? I noticed the magnetic ring on HUMIXX is higher than Torras. judging by the Dbrand case in the JerryRigEverything video it seems that HUMIXX got it wrong.
Yes have tried both of them and both worked with magsafe charger. I tried with anker and another amazon one.
@@TheFrenchGlow Interesting, the charging coil, is lower you can see it in the JerryRigged video, which matches with Dbrand and the Torras case. based on this I would say magnet on the HUMIXX would go over the charing coil.

The Caseology Paralax in Bay is easily one of the best cases out there, completely unique, premium, mega grip, why are there so few reviewers mentioning that case?
I looked at it but for me, I buy all my cases and was not a huge fan of the paralax design. But once I get more popular, maybe caseology cna send me some samples.
I picked up the Torras magsafe case and it's in my opinion the best case out there. Way way nicer than I expected it to be.
Anyone in UK/EU do the Torras cases?

Whats the difference between the spigen clear hybrid case and the spigen clear capella case? They seem the same
Hi! Clear capella has textured side grips and does not have the "clean" design of the ultra hybrid. Overall protection is similar between both as they use the same air cushion technology. Also capella is a few more dollars.
Capella is made by Caseology and has a textured grip on the sides.
Is there a clear case without the hard plastic back?
Hi. Most clear cases switched to polycarbonate backs because of low cost, less likely to yellow, easy to maintain. You might be looking for a fully tpu case but the back will still be hard usually.

Does the 7pro case fit the 8pro
yes it does fit but the screen is not perfect fit for the 8 pro in a 7 pro case. The 7 pro fits much better in a 8 pro case.
The Nano Pop isn't silicone; it's TPU.

Is this the best clear case on Amazon. I bought better cases than this. I had all these cases before and I guarantee they are all going to yellow even if you use it once in a while.
Clear cases are the worst...they age horribly. They get greasy and cloudy and then yellow...they show all the scratches badly too!
some of the new material is much better in 2023 than even 2022. Not saying they won't yellow if you keep your phone in the sun or in my case, have a pixel 7 pro that overheats.
$50 for a case without magsafe 🤮
As a longtime andriod user, pixels don't have magsafe and Google honestly does not care.
