This is exactly the kind of video I've been looking for nice. Its true that with more processing power its easier to constantly change ideas leading to songs taking longer than they should. Then again its also nice to have a folder filled with unused midi grooves for future projects. As always love the vibes keep it up Zen
power of commiting 💟I love it.. commiting, and starting to work only on the audio, its such an underrated method. your ninjas are super lucky to have this video. even max martin says to his ninjas " you like it? commit now" lol if they are afraid of commiting they should create a trash folder and drag all those instruments to that folder and commit later. producers with FOMO, they can always grab those instruments back as a whole. especially those audio tail clean ups, so necessary to have clean drops or it sounds amateur, thank you so much for great tutorial, Zen master. and that track at 8.29 omg so trippy. I hope to listen to it .
I've committed the last 3 years to music, and the wild thing is, I'm starting to see the gold and enjoyment of getting better. It's not an overnight process but having fun each day and progressing little by little is how you stay sane. Also making friends along the way is essential! Now go swallow a chocobo
speaking of rogue tails, is there a way in ableton to freeze tracks with the return effect in it? technically u can with Resampling but was curious if theres a way/setting for this.
I tend to use a lot of automation and FX so if i bounce a track i cant go back adjust things. What I do is freeze the track and drag the frozen audio to another to another track. This way, you get the bounced audio and can still go back to make changes to the automation if you need to.
3:36 minutes in and u talk about power to commiting, lol if people use a synth and are unaware of the tail they arent producing foreal, real artist design with intention. all the benefits so far is only about stuff i can do with automation and utility, now i havent watched the whole video but here are my reasons for why audio is dope, but midi is still dope. rendering a midi clip ensures that it sounds the same every time, and when u got a audio clip u can change warp mode for variation and tone.
Such great advice! Thanks! Use Serum (or whatever) to create the sound and then commit and play with it. I come from the analogue age where we did everything with reel to reel and splicing, so this is much more "natural" to me.
"the sounds that will sound the best will come from your sounds" beautiful 2:20
“Cuz I’m here” thank you bro
Thank you Dr. Zen for helping me with my commitment issues. I think it's rooted in my childhood trauma of being abandoned by my Moog-mother 32

Yes always print your parts and it’ll help move things forward as well as open up further ideas (as well as processing power/memory)

This is so helpful, thank you
Beep Beep! best producer mentor combo.
I'm 38 and single, very scared of committment haha
Committing can be one of the most vulnerable moments of your life, but we'll work it for that final drop if you know what I mean.

Thanks 🤩
the mf goat!!!!
I have commitment issues 🥺
You gotta commit TO the crime and then you gotta commit THE crime. Nah mean?
Hi guapo
Or automate using r....

THANKS FOR sharing my man
@ZenWorld NO PROBLEM my guy
You should mention the psy trance 32nd note bass chop trick 👁️🐊
Thanks! I will take your advice today. I'll commit to move forward 💪🏼
This video is what I needed to hear, too many times I overthink elements of my songs and think it’s bad 😂
One thing I like about bouncing a sample is you can rearrange it whichever way you want.
Great tips, thanks Zen. That's a nice track too!
Beepbeep mfs
yessss
It is beautiful with audio editing. You can also cut fragments and instead use Compressor just tame peak manual😂
