Pulsed Field Ablation is a new ablation modality that is now approved in the US. This new technology offers a lot of advantages to patients and the healthcare system such as improved safety and efficiency.
Because of the efficiency and simplicity of this procedure we have been performing most of our PFA AFib ablations without the use of general anesthesia. This means that patients are not intubated, and anesthesia is used for comfort and safety but the recovery is much quicker.
