As someone who is still very new to texturing, the node-based workflow in Mari feels so much more intuitive and effective in comparison to the clunky layer based workflow of painter.

It's crazy how most people find layer based workflow easy. Personally, the node based WorkFlow works for me just as you

I've always wanted to give it a try but the manual approach to most stuff is kinda scary to me. But again since I started working with multiple UDIMs Substance started freezing even more so I might just try it.

It looks intimidating. But if you get the right beginner course. It's very easy to catch up

@@faysalmukalazi other than handling heavy stuff easily, what else is better from substance in your opinion? I learned Zbrush this year maybe I can make it learning Mari year for 2025 lol

Isn't it an entirely different program?

The title of the video is a total mistake, and shows that you want to impose your version as if it were the absolute truth.
Mari is there for certain projects, but in video games they are not going to ask for Maria.
Even some animated films such as Búfalo Kids, recently released internationally, used Substance Painter.
