Thank you so much for this webinar! 😊 I've just had a customer ask me to make him some velcro patches, so it's been very helpful! Also I had some feedback lately about my outer edges not being perfect and now you've given me loads of ideas on how to finish my patches more professionally.
I bought my first embroidery machine, your 'Digitizing Made Easy' book and applique DVD back in 2012. I'm now working full time as an embroiderer working on a multi-headed Happy Japan machine and digitize patches in my spare time for the love of it, which has started to bring in some much needed extra cash. Your knowledge has literally changed my life for the better! Thank you so much for your inspiration, you are the number one Guru of digitizing and embroidery! 🥰

So far all the Hatch fonts I've tried to sample stitch out look yucky on a 3" patch. Is this a density issue or font issue? Do you have favorite fonts for patches you recommend? I appreciate you. This is John's website. Remember you can download and use software free for 30 days to see if it is something you like. Purchasing through this site allows you all the free bonuses Johns gives away. The site will direct you to Wilcom the owner of the software, John is just a distributor and a teacher of the software. After Wilcom notifies John of your purchase 3 or 4 days later you will get the bonuses he offers. Hope that helped.

It is not just the design. You must select the proper stabilizer and needle for your fabric. And you need to hoop your fabric correctly.
Look up “pretensioning your hoop” for how to hoop properly. Both John and Lindee have videos on that.
Then google videos on how to select stabilizers and needles. Floriani and OESD, as well as a few other companies have excellent videos on proper stabilization. Also remember stabilizer is specifically for embroidery. And interfacing is for sewing. They are not interchangeable.
Needles are available that are specifically designed for the fast speeds of embroidery. They come in a sharp for cotton and other stable fabric, and ball point for knits.
Also use thread designed for embroidery. And bobbin thread that is also for embroidery. Make sure your bobbin is wound properly. If your upper thread and bobbin are correct, you should automatically have perfect tension.
This will help you really get excellent quality designs.
