Same, I think, like Michael Meyers, the featureless sack with the one hole seemed more mysterious and intimidating. Even the overalls and hillbilly like presentation seemed to standout to the jumpsuit her later wears.
When Zack yells as Alice when she’s laying on the bed having the nightmare I laughed out loud. And making fun of her green turtle neck on the uncomfortable bed spread 😂
One of my favourites in the franchise. The reason why they would re run the ending to the last movie was because the vHS industry hadn’t really taken off by then. So people would need a re cap of the last movie
My head cannon is that Pamela actually attempted to drown Jason in a fit of madness. Jason survived but Pamela couldn’t face it and deluded herself that he was dead, never letting him come home. He was driven out into the woods because she refused to accept he was alive, driven even more mad from guilt over trying to murder her boy. That’s my theory anyway. The counselors making love was a lie from the get go, covering up Pamela’s attempted drowning of her son.
I was born on Friday the 13th (Dec.) in 85. I think my 1st introduction to the series was the “Carrier” one - saw it a drive inn - unmasked Jason a 100 feet tall..! Instant young horror fan. Thanks for the content, mates.
2:32:22 I saw her in a clip of a panel she did in Betsy Palmer’s (R.I.P) later years where she spoke very openly critically (to a comical degree) of the second film and said she’d only film her cameo if she didn’t have to leave her house and so they sent a crew to film it in her house
Great episode!! I always thought it was funny that Jeff's truck and the ambulance at the end have the same license plate. Talk about budget. Also back in 2000 my friend pointed out in the bar scene when Paul says "Awe bull$hit Ginny" he sounds just like Forrest Gump and I cannot unhear that lol.
Keep up the awesome pods gentlemen! Real quick you guys mention that Jason never uses a pitchfork again. That's not true, he kills one of the bikers in Pt. 3D with a pitchfork.
This is one of my fav horror movies and this video was recommended to me. I absolutely love your dialogue and chemistry. Jenny has always been my favorite final girl and this movie, problems notwithstanding, is a true gem. I love the opening scene, it's mainly a single camera shot in a small apartment, and it's legendary. your opinions are great and loved hearing them. Xx
You guys have a good point about the beginning about Alice getting a call from Jason on the phone, I mean why does it have to be Jason? Besides logically it couldn't have been Jason calling her, if he was outside her apartment. Also the way I always looked at Jason being alive is, he was believed to have drowned- which is why they couldn't find the body in the lake, and he was living in woods, living off the land. They imply that he had witnessed his mother's beheading- I think he would return to Camp Crystal Lake every night hoping to find his mom, and he returned to camp and saw his mother get killed by Alice.
I worked at a summer camp (day camp, not sleepaway) for many years, 2 of which were as a counselor, and every year all the employees/managers met to go through safety training, so I assume it's a yearly thing that these characters had to go through
Movie timelines interpretations of Paul’s line of Jason seeing his mother being beheaded was him hinting that Jason helped her killed the counselors like the arrow through Kevin bacon’s throat
On first watch, I marathoned 1 and 2. I was completely immersed in 1, but I didn't enjoy 2 nearly as much. Maybe it's because the films are a bit too similar, and I was already a bit tired going into 2. I fully agree with Zac's take on the slow opening sequence with Alice, and maybe that's why I started to disconnect. It didn't help that Alice got killed off early. However, the film improved upon further viewings and it's now one of my favorites. I actually watched it at 4am while it was raining outside. The first two films are perfect to watch on a rainy night.
I always wondered how did the police know to come to the camp? Did Paul regain consciousness and call for help? Did the police send someone out looking for the Deputy Winslow? Did Ted and the other trainees return and call 911? Also, since it seemed like Ted was a local, I always wished the character had returned as a new Crazy Ralph.
I've always wanted to collect the FRiDAY movie novelizations as well as the Eric Morse CAMP books... Unfortunately they are WAY to hard to find AND pricey.
I think it's only Friday the 13th in the first movie because it's his birthday ... From what I remember of the lore it's called that because Jason was born on a Friday the 13th 😂
I really enjoyed the episode but I probably agree with Zack that not going scene by scene is better because ya'll can have a more natural conversation and jump around and discuss tidbits like poor Eddie had to refrain himself from 😭 Part 2 is a movie that I think is better than the first one but I'm not sure it ranks Top 3 for me like I've seen many other people do. Ginny is definitely a highlight and one of the better Final Girls in the series.
If I'm watching the movies one after the other, it's an immediate skip the first section of Part 2 because I've just watched the ending of the first one
This movie has the opposite problem of Scream. They never keep the same final girl. I didn't like how they Ignore all the characters that they built up in every previous movie. It's really unclear after this part twhat happens to Jenny and I'm always so mad but they never follow up on it.
Dude, FT13th movies are so stupid if you look at it from a quality perspective - cheesy and so thrown together (at least the first couple) That is part of their charm but there's nothing really revolutionary about them. They're so bad but I love them.
The way that Siskel and Ebert lambasted this whole series and genre as misogynistic, was just crazy. Especially being that Pam in the first, was a woman. I was always like fellas, did you actually watch the film:)
Hello cherry picker are you going to do a épisode Scream 6 cherry picker if you are when is going to be and you are going to do a who killed who in Scream 6 when is release
It's funny seeing two gay dudes mark out over Scott ol' boy! He was always my favorite character in part 2 and I was on the same page as his character cuz I had a crush on Terri as a kid and she still holds up alpt better than most over the years! Gorgeous.....and that ass! If a slingshot is on hand, it beats a grope! Agree w/this one and the final chapter being the clear standouts! Also agree w/the fact that Ted 100% had no business surviving! He doesn't "die well" then give him the Terri treatment! Show his goofy ginger mug looking shocked and cut to an ax swinging through the air! ANYTHING, but he needed to go!
Zack is it okay if you could do a episode on hello Mary Lou prom night 2 1987 do a episode on that and do a episode on totally killer 2023 whenever you come around to it...................
Do a episode on Better watch out it's a Christmas horror movie and do a episode on Terrifier 3 2024 and five nights at Freddy's 2023 do a episode on that whenever you get a chance to or whenever you come around to it..................
And do more episode on Tarot 2024 and camp pleasant lake 2024 and come play 2020 do some episodes on those whenever you get the chance to or whenever you come around to it...............????????
How can two young boys, at the time, watch this film and NOT go for Terri?! But, Scott?! Terri's the type of chick that makes you straight. Silly boys.
I'd be more scared if I saw someone with a sack over their head chasing me than the Hockey Mask. Thanks for the 3 hour podcast. You two are amazing
Same, I think, like Michael Meyers, the featureless sack with the one hole seemed more mysterious and intimidating. Even the overalls and hillbilly like presentation seemed to standout to the jumpsuit her later wears.
I agree the sack Head Jason looks more scarier
When Zack yells as Alice when she’s laying on the bed having the nightmare I laughed out loud. And making fun of her green turtle neck on the uncomfortable bed spread 😂
I love that Ted escapes death by going to an after hours bar. One of rare moments where alcoholism actually saves someone’s life:)
One of my favourites in the franchise. The reason why they would re run the ending to the last movie was because the vHS industry hadn’t really taken off by then. So people would need a re cap of the last movie
A three hour episode, 2023 is starting off beautifully. 😍
I love when you guys get nostalgic about old tech. The phone conversation got me laughing. (Sigh) the 80's...my early childhood.
I think this is my favorite episode yet! I’m gonna have to go back and watch the movie, again, tonight. Great job, guys!
LOVE the long episodes y’all! I genuinely just re-listen to the Cherry picker when I lay down for bed and it’s really comforting. So keep it up :D
Loved the extra long episode guys! Thank you ❤
Hockey mask Jason maybe is cool, but Sack head Jason will always be iconic.
Always!
Dido!
Ginny is the best Final Girl in the series! She's likeable and Amy Steele is amazing!🤘🤘

Aren’t both Fox and Loco killed in the barn with pitchforks (her in the neck, him in the stomach). (?)
@@sassypantsg.6617 Dang, I think you're right! I just always remember Loco getting stabbed in the guts. Need to go back and watch 3D again soon
@@ZenthaneX Ha- I grew up with a bootleg copy of Part 3, so I have it pretty much memorized 😉
@@ZenthaneX also the female biker, Fox
I remember from the documentary that Cunningham helped Craven filmed a scene while Craven was filming another to quickly finish up a movie.
Yes Wes Craven filmed the footage of Betsy Palmer in the end, in the come to momma scene

This episode had me within the first 3 seconds, beautiful line to start on!
The Bette Davis thing makes me so happy every time 😂
Pulling out the DVD killed me 😂😂😂
So did muffin the dog survive or was she just part of ginnys dream sequence at the end?
dream...
Movie timelines interpretations of Paul’s line of Jason seeing his mother being beheaded was him hinting that Jason helped her killed the counselors like the arrow through Kevin bacon’s throat
I think Jason killed Paul before he chased after Ginny. I think Ginny imagined Paul helping her escape from Jason.
The final girls support group audio book is read by Adrienne King Although I think she sounds more like betsy Palmer now.
That's awesome! I love Grady Hendrix, I might have to check that out.
On first watch, I marathoned 1 and 2. I was completely immersed in 1, but I didn't enjoy 2 nearly as much. Amy Steel gives SMG energy
1:28:26 during the story about Jason it's said they never found his body.
I always wondered how did the police know to come to the camp? Did Paul regain consciousness and call for help? Did the police send someone out looking for the Deputy Winslow? Did Ted and the other trainees return and call 911?

wait wait wait Zack cherry did not expect you to have a crush on anyone on this movie XD
I cannot remember seeing F the 13th part 2 on HBO or Showtime. (Cable channels)
I used to get squeamish when I watch the neck sliced scenes. I actually I still get squeamish, got worse when I had a biopsy.
I've always wanted to collect the FRiDAY movie novelizations as well as the Eric Morse CAMP books... Unfortunately they are WAY to hard to find AND pricey.

I do not think Paul was killed instead he went to get the police and paramedics
I wouldn’t give any of them more 2 1/2 stars out of 5 but I still find them funny.
Dude, FT13th movies are so stupid if you look at it from a quality perspective - cheesy and so thrown together (at least the first couple) That is part of their charm but there's nothing really revolutionary about them. They're so bad but I love them.
Part 2 feels very well constructed in my opinion, although the editing is strange at times
Alice’s cat definitely ate her by the way
The way that Siskel and Ebert lambasted this whole series and genre as misogynistic, was just crazy. Especially being that Pam in the first, was a woman. I was always like fellas, did you actually watch the film:)
I watched you two queens laughing and left
Hello cherry picker are you going to do a épisode Scream 6 cherry picker if you are when is going to be and you are going to do a who killed who in Scream 6 when is release
I'm pretty sure in order to do the Who Killed Who's, he has to wait for the Blue-Ray. So at least a couple months after release
Considering those are his most popular videos, yes.
It's funny seeing two gay dudes mark out over Scott ol' boy! Fyi Jason kills two bikers in part 3 with a pitchfork.
The grudge 2004 and do a episode on pluse 2001 whenever you come around to it................
Hi!
Why does the guy on the left constantly cackle as if everything the other guy says is the funniest thing he's ever heard?
Zack do some more episode on horror movies do manhunter 1986 and deathgasm 2015 and Smile 2022 do those and do...............
Do a episode on Better watch out it's a Christmas horror movie and do a episode on Terrifier 3 2024 and five nights at Freddy's 2023 do a episode on that whenever you get a chance to or whenever you come around to it..................

The moment you started critiquing the freaking bedspread - that's when I knew; this is not the channel for me.
How can two young boys, at the time, watch this film and NOT go for Terri?! But, Scott?! Terri's the type of chick that makes you straight. Silly boys.
I'm attracted to all genders, and I prefer Scott in terms of looks. I think Terry is hot, but Scott looks like great sex material
If Scott isn't making any straight guys gay, then Terri isn't making any gay guys straight...see how that works?
