FULL DISCLOSURE: I am familiar with the original version of this song by the original artist/band. However, I have never heard this cover. On top of that, it's also a live poerformance. Therefore I will not be reacting to, evaluating, or scoring the original song in any way. I will ONLY be reacting to, evaluating, and scoring this particular cover of the song and the live performance. How's this one gonna go? Only one way to find out...

Yeah, right away- it was real crowd interaction. Corey to audience, audience to Corey. And clearly, he was enjoying his performance. I found myself thinking about how back in the ‘90s, the bands of that decade wouldn’t have done an ‘80s hit like this. I’ve since read about (some) eighties and nineties bands who didn’t clash as much as the media would’ve made out. But I guess the rivalry will always be there. Thankfully not too much for the odd little cover choice to pop up. And “I’ve rocked several hundred of them” was applause-worthy to me, hilarious. I’m sure everyone in the room had a good time that night.
I loved Bon Jovi as a teen and still love their older stuff and Corey has my favorite voice of all plus great humor, so what could go wrong with this cover? Nothing! It's just perfect!
As far as covers of THIS song go, I'd give it a 9. Richie's parts weren't that good and there were a few mistakes. But I still loved it.

I didn't vote for this one; in fact, I barely checked it out at the time, but now I'm glad it won that poll. The only thing that _slightly_ bothered me about it was the main melody arpeggiation being different. Everything else was covered by the great showmanship, so it was fun (as was the reaction). 🙂
