  • #shorts I may be the WORST sourdough caretaker on the planet… but at least my missteps have given me plenty of chances to see how resilient sourdough really is.
    (And no- that’s not black mold. It’s dried-out hooch. Promise!)

    I have always been afraid to start a sourdough starter. I've never done it before. It's the fear of the unknown. This video truly helps us to get over that fear. Thank you. ❤

    I revived mine just like Jill did, same conditions, but after TWO YEARS! She was active and ready to go on the 2nd day after 3 feedings. Bubbles, her name 🥰, was ready to make gluten free pancakes and muffins. I am still amazed! Don’t give up on your starter.

    Wow! A Jill video! I thought she gave up on those? Too much work. Yes! We'll take shorts and posts, Jill.
    Still think you should do a cheese making one. Or do a shorty on your horsemanship practice.
    Save us from this wall climbing, otherwise, locked up inside, winter Feb. time of year.

      Does not have mold so could not taste moldy. Learn from those experienced in these areas.

    Easy to just start one from scratch
    If your going to forget it in the fridge, try dehydrating it

    Would trat work on some that was frozen? I freeze my yoghurt culture and that works

      Yes, I have started from frozen and dried flakes and powder. It’s magical.
