Thanks for showing this while the body is off. Helps me see better where everything is. I took the manual transmission/transfer case out of my '97 Blazer in the backyard on steel ramps to do clutch work and replace all the seals back in 2020. That was a fun summer. Haha
Thank you for the info, and a real big thank you for the flash back of doing things like this with my Daddy! If I knew only half of everything he ever forgot I'd be considered a genius! I ain't gonna lie I even teared a lil bit, He's been gone 21 yrs and I miss him as much today as did that day 21 yrs ago. Thank you so much. God bless you!
I have a 91 4.3 and I apparently crushed the front pump when installing the rebuilt transmission. Do you have any info on what exactly I should look at or check. Great informative video!
He told me the torque converter might not have been fully inserted. I’m just not sure if I need to tear the transmission down and check steels and clutches. (Something Im not against doing and learning)
It's great to see a good kid and a good teacher this is what we're all supposed to be
Thank you

You're welcome.
The bell housing bolts are the hardest and with no body you can't show how to do them.
Thanks, that's what I was aiming to clarify.
Looks like you have a great helper start learning them young

Is this similar for a manual? Any words of advice before I start ripping into mine? Thanks for the video!
I ain't never pulled a manual out of a dime. It'll be a lot of the same, rtfm.
@@thefixerofbrokenstuff Alrighty. Thanks for the quick reply!
Seriously though, you can buy a pdf of the factory manual online for about $50. No reason to remain in the dark.
@@thefixerofbrokenstuff great point!

If you busted the ears off the pump, you better just take it back to your tranny guy. There's a lot of fiddly parts in there.
