Another great ride. That area is new to me and sure looks beautiful. Thanks for the nod and thanks for the ride! Love the long form videos.

McGuire used to be a favourite of mine, until the bridges along Borden Creek FSR got washed out.
The road gets incredibly steep at 3:31 and I'm surprised to see that it's still there...I've been thinking that the section just before 4:14 will slough away any day now!
A 48:56, if you went RIGHT on that road...it will take you to the old version of Borden Creek FSR and the bridge that I mentioned earlier....which isn't there anymore, but during low-flow conditions, you may be able to cross the stream and access the other side of McGuire, including the Old Settler's trail that leads to the snow-pillow.
I'm surprised that the road past the collapsed bridge at 7:45 isn't completely overgrown...
That road at 10:00 goes nowhere, as you found out the hard way!
The trail you took at 28:13 leads to an older version of the sledder's cabin...it's probably toppled over by now. To reach the hiking trail, you need to stay on the upper road (go RIGHT at 29:11) and follow it to its end but you cannot get all the way to the trailhead by bike as the road washed away many years ago. It's a 15 min walk to the trail-head and the hike to the top is fantastic...great views of the entire area!
Watching the ride down from 32:00 onwards, reminds me why I don't bother going up here anymore...pity, I have such found memories of exploring with my '01 TW.

Right on. Thanks for the insights. Good to know someone who yells me which way to go. Or which way I should go next time. Ever have an animal issues out there. Angry bears ? Big cats ?

Get a hand held pruning sheers with a holster or make holster to velcro on bars while blazing trail. Quick squeeze and most of that brush will be outa your way

That log "bridge" would stop me in my tracks. You have nerve for sure!

Ya. Wasn’t the best. Used to be able to ride across now it’s so skinny. Have to walk it across.
