So my wife used to ride all the time , cr80 cr85 rm85. But hasn’t ridden for like 9yrs. She finally wanted to ride. So she bought a 2024 Honda crf125fb. Nice little trail bike. So I took her out on a nice easy fsr at tamahi, 8km out 8km back. So she can get used to the bike and new boots. She did fantastic. #chilliwack #bc #chilliwackbc #mountainviewmotorsports

Tw200 the long way round Fraser valley
Переглядів 308День тому
Did some highway on the tw. I pretty much have to to get to the other side of the river. This video just goes to show you that you can still run a tw200 in the hwy at 55mph. For long periods at a time. I do it a lot. Bike has no issues doing it. I hit up Norris creek fsr. To Dewdney peak. Which is closed for logging. But since it’s a Sunday. No logging. Let’s go. Even ran I to some shooters nea...

Relearning to jump in your 50s cr125

I was gonna go for a tdub ride. But I saw the 2 stroke sitting in the garage. And watching the Lucas oil moto. Made me wanna jump. So i dragged the old 2002cr125 to the popkum mx track here in chilliwack and managed to get a few 4th gear jumps. But man i need to put some more time in if i wanna get all the jump on the track. And doing it alone is also intimidating, i use to think all the jumps ...
Tw200 last weekend 20 mile bay 178km lost gopro clips
Переглядів 1 тис.14 днів тому
So I went on a long ride last week. Only to get home. Be missing a ton of footage. And what clips I had scrambled, so this video is all jumbled up. My computer isn’t hooked up to edit gopro so on my phone it is. And doesn’t do a good job. But I figured I post what I got. Incase anyone wanted to venture out 20mile bay. Harrison lake. Enjoy. Or not. 😂 #chilliwack #chilliwackbc #tw200 #bc #yamaha
Tw200 Bordom hill. Ticks and bad GoPro
Переглядів 18214 днів тому
So last week I did 178km ride. Gopro decided to skip some clips and then jumble them all up so nothing is in order. So no video last week. Just some clips. So today. It did the same thing. Tryed my best to get it in order. But definitely some stuff is gone. Time for a new. Gopro. The gopro 9 is toast. Sucks. Loved how it worked. #chilliwack #chilliwackbc #tw200 #bc #yamaha #goprohero9 #goprosucks

    You could have taken a left at that last fork. The road continues for a few more kilometers. Good exploring out there. When you turned around you were close to an old abandoned pickup. TW seems like the right bike out there.

    Cool video. If you go to a 47 tooth rear sprocket you will get better top end out of your TW200. You can ride at 60-65 mph with reduced revs so that the bike isn't being rung out. Ride safe!

      Ya. But then I’ll loose the torque in the hills. Don’t wanna do much highway. This day I just had to to get where I was going. I usually lurk in the mountains where I live. But I wanted to go check it out. Luckily the hwy is mostly 50mph. By as you know. What cars actually go 50. More like 70. So you feel in the way. If I get rich. I’ll buy a crf300 rally. For the farther trips. 😂

    Nice videos! This is actually a Ministry of Forests project to deal with some very old logging roads that were never properly deactivated after logging took place and now pose landslide risks as determined by a geological engineer. So what this entails is rebuilding the road to provide access for machinery and then deactivating the road correctly afterwards. The reason the gate is there is because the rebuilding and deactivation works sends loose materials down the hillside including boulders that can end up down at the main FSR.

    I've been thinking about a TW to do the same kind of riding as you, I'm also considering an XT225 or XT 250, what's your thoughts on the XT's vs the TW for your kind of riding?

    • @Anthonyhancock71
      @Anthonyhancock71 9 днів тому

      Not sure I haven’t ridden those bikes. But I imagine they have a higher top speed for hwy and hold more fuel. I guess it’s just preference, I prefer the lower seat hieght and fat tires , I guess the difference would be those are more dirt bike style and tw is more fat tire trail bike.

    Hell Yeah!!! There's nothing like the sound of those two strokers when you get'em "on the pipe," \ in the power band for the newbies that don't know what "on the pipe" means 🤣. It's like 10 more horsepower comes out of nowhere! I used to race 125s, never could win a race. I had six Yamahas until I rode a CR-125 Elsinore! I couldn't switch over fast enough! I had a friend I rode with a lot, his Mom and Dad had just bought him a brand new 1976 Honda Elsinore CR125M (first year the were all red) for Christmas in 77, it was a leftover that hadn't sold but it was still brand new. Back then they were a lot cheaper, his dad got that brand new leftover for $900 dollars! The original price was $1,100 but they knocked off a couple hundred because it was about to be 2 years old and they still hadn't sold it. That's the one I rode that switched me over. We had only rode a couple times because it was dead of winter and just too bad out, it probably didn't have 50 miles on it. The weather finally broke a little in late February and we were starting to have a pretty day every now and then so we planned us up a big ride for the weekend coming up, he said he was gonna break that baby in! The weekend finally came and I had a little Toyota long bed truck we always hauled the bikes in so I went to get him Saturday morning, The CR was sitting there at a low spot where we usually load it at. I didn't see him anywhere so I went ahead and backed up to it so when he came out we'd be ready to load it up. I waited and waited he never did come out, so I finally knocked on the door. His mom opened the door and was crying, I knew something bad was wrong. She said he was killed in a car accident last night...I hugged her and just broke down crying too, we had been best friends since the first grade. A week or two after we had his funeral and everything his dad called me one day (he knew I had been looking for one to race) and asked me if I wanted that bike, he said he couldn't hardly even look at it said to come and get it if I wanted it. I told him I would buy it from him but I couldn't just take it for nothing like that, I just wouldn't feel right about it, let me give you your money back for it, he said no it had been some since he bought it just give me $500 if you feel like you have to pay me for it. I went and got the money that day and bought it. I had a practically new CR 125 to race! I put a Wiseco piston, a set of boyesen reeds in it, changed the gearing a little bit with another rear sprocket, put a DG pipe on it and went racing! The very first time I raced it I took 3rd place which was the best I had ever finished at Muddy Creek Raceway! After a couple months riding it and getting to know what it would do and what it wouldn't I actually started to win some! Freaked them all out, I was the Yamaha guy that could never win. It was a different story with that CR! With it if I didn't wreck I could usually win 🤣. Anyway, I was just planning to post and tell you I loved the sound of your bike, and here I have wrote another book, sorry this was so long but your video and the sound of that two stroke brings back so many good memories, I can close my eyes and listen to your CR and get goosebumps I feel just like I'm back at Muddy Creek again. Thanks

  • @nratliff1

    I love your video, I've watched it twice and thinking about watching it again 🚴😃. I'm 61 years old now and my health won't let me ride anymore. when I was young and my health was good I did a lot of racing at "Muddy Creek Raceway," in Blountville Tennessee which was only about an hour or so from where I used to live in Va. I raced just about every weekend but through the week I rode trails just like your video, which makes me so homesick for those mountain trails I can't hardly stand it. I wish I'd had your bike, it's perfect for trails like that, you can lug it down to almost nothing then you can hit the gas and it jumps right back up there! The CR-125 Elsinore that I raced, well, if you let off of it you may as well back up and hit it again 😂. You can also find out real quick who can ride and who can't, just take them on trails like that. You would be hard to keep up with on that "pingy" two stroke CR, you're good! You scared me a little bit when you crossed that rickety bridge alone though, you be careful and if you have a cell phone always take it with you especially if you're by yourself, you never know what could happen. Well hell, I didn't mean to write a book🤣. Think I'll watch it again, you don't see many good trail riders anymore. Put us some more good ones on here like this one, and thanks for the ride, made me feel young again.

    I saw some huge frogs in those puddles at 4:05...when I was there 2 weeks ago. The road at 8:50 used to be 2 lanes wide...such a shame that they are left to grow over... That spot at 13:58 is what I used to call "Big Rock" for obvious reasons...indeed you could drive a truck up to it, only a few years ago. This route is the one I spoke of in another video of yours, that leads to a landing that is the start of the trail to McGuire's north ridge...I can't believe how badly this road has deteriorated. Pity that you turned around at 23:44...as I recall, there was some wonderful scenery nearing the top...huge cliff walls to the left and massive rock slabs along the roadside on the right...probably hidden by alder and shrubbery now...such a shame, McGuire used to be one of my favorite places to ride, either side of it! Last time I was up there was in 2009...on my 2001 TW. I think I may have tried Bordom Hill that day as well but never made it... You might want to try that route again in the fall, when most of the leaves are gone. That "green tick" is just a Stink Bug....totally harmless unless you squash them, then you learn why they're named.

    • @Anthonyhancock71
      @Anthonyhancock71 16 днів тому

      Hey thanks a lot. Glad it wasn’t a tick. Yes I will keep going on that trail once the leaves fall. I felt pretty weird going up there with it so grown in. Expected a massive bear or lion around every curve. Usually I’ll see a bike tire mark or something but the farther I went. Nothing. And I check trail forks map a few times and it just kept going. So I’ll hit it in the fall. 🍻👍
