We'll also talk about the trade-offs between streaming vs. old-school DVDs - yes, quality and special features, we miss you. Plus, we're hitting the real talk: streaming's hitting our wallets hard.

I pay less than $100 month for You Tube TV plus Prime Max. No cables, no antennas, and NO commercials. I NEVER watch commercials. I watch a lot of college sports, and tune in somewhere around halftime. I can then watch the entire game in about 1/2 the time by FF through all the junk. Take control of your life. Record, record, record. BTW--I also get Prime streaming in my car. No more commercials and a lot cheaper than going to the movie theatre 2-3 times a month. A bargain for an aging senior.
What about internet?
Wait - the average price of cable in the US is like $45 inflation adjusted in 2009 ..? Wow .. In Canada I cut the cable in the earlu 2000's because packages were averaging around $100
Incredible breakdown of our situation. Thanks for it!
And don't forget Amazon is now charging more if you don't want ads! Forget them! I used to love Netflix but it's gone downhill. SoI just pay for YT, no ads ... plenty of content.
Great explanation of the mess we are in.
