have you used your dawn inrowl much? udpated version shows chopping blades bolted to the blunt chevron blades. we are considering one to use between rows and add on a wider roller between rows to use as our preplant/post plant roll down. just wondering how well the inrowl works. have you experienced any problems with it? also do you have a video of it running?
I’m interested in building a row mow. Also would like to contact your engineer and willing to pay consultation fee for blueprint and hydraulic specifics.
OK, it's really great seeing how you do it. I'm 100% hydraulic downforce instead of water, but their is more than one way to skin a cat. I can actually roll down with my planter also, but I didn't set up my new planters that way. It just works better, as much as I hate having to add another pass. Are you able to terminate effectively with one pass?
Interesting! I like hearing how other people do it. We are the same way. We like to do it in another pass because we usually wait to terminate. We usually have great success and we are able to terminate effectively with one pass
@@farmingwithcarp8551 The longer you can wait, the more magic the covers can do! Their just isn't a recipe / one size fits all for farming organic. Sometimes the things you've been done successfully in the past don't work and you have to figure out something different. One thing I've noticed, is if we have a little problem with weeds in the bean rows and go over it with the hover mower, the areas we've nicked the bean plants a little more than I'd like, actually produced the best yields. It caused the plant to focus on throwing all more energy into making seed. The tool bar I'm using to roll crimp is set up with tanks for weight, and the unit can be used to spread liquid manure on areas that could use it, so the 2nd pass isn't so bad, but the tanks have to be kept at least half full.
Heard different views of what the zapper does to the biology in the ground . Does it drive the worms outta the ground ? 😆 . Have y’all had any issues with it or noticed anything ?
Are you familiar with General Mills goal to turn 1 million acres into regenerative agriculture by 2030? Gabe Brown says it’s the future and seeing that on their website is pretty cool.
With planting into a living cover like growing alfalfa, what have you observed in drought conditions with the cover competing for water with the cash crop?
Our soils have really good water holding capacity, with that said the alfalfa does uptake a lot of water. But it seems to uptake more water while it’s growing after you cut it. We plant into it mature and it seems to not want as much water while it’s mature. Leaving more chances for the corn to uptake some of that water. Just what we are seeing
Thanks for making this video, it really helps to understand your operation.

Thanks. For the help. Looking at needing a row mow. Were can you buy one.
I am not sure where you can buy one complete . Maybe Dawn makes one.
Do you have the contact info for the guy that helped you put your rowmow together?
Nice Trailer Park Boy reference :)
What are organic corn and bean prices doing in your market? $7.50 and $24 here in central WI.
Pretty comparable here. Just a touch better though.
Where do you sell in Wisconsin?

Hello, about how fast do the motors spin? And how many GPM? Thanks you!
They are spinning about 3500-4000 rpm. I don’t remember the gpm
Maybe Lucy will come back if you get your grade 10.

We have not noticed it driving the worms out of the ground. No issues yes for us at this moment.

Im very interested in the dawn end roll. I was just on there website and can not find it. Do you know if they still make it?
If it’s not on their website I’m going to say they didn’t go into big production with them then. We just got ours about a year ago.
