I noticed when you were touching the swipe bars on the large Loupdeck that they were like a plastic film that was wrinkling and sticking to the panel behind. Is that seriously on that >200 dollar device?

Too bad my Loupedeck Original got EOLed. Great device, but got obsoleted from the manufacturer.

One of the things I hated about the Stream deck was the feel of the button press. It was mushy and non-linear. Like you could push in the side of the button and it would tilt in, not pressing in uniformly. This made pressing buttons feel awful if you weren't pressing it dead-center. It also caused it to not always actuate. Sometimes it would just not give input if I didn't hit it just right.
Does this Loupdeck improve the buttons or did they just go for the same thing?

@@distorteduzi A more positive thing might be to point out that keyboard shortcuts are a free alternative but this device is not for casual browsing. It's for complicated productivity apps like Blender or video editors that have hundreds of tweakable options but your workflow only needs a couple of dozen. It's also tactile and visual versus having to memorize keyboard shortcuts which makes it ideal for "performance" situations like streaming and podcasting where any amount of hunt-scroll-pull-down-click would interrupt the flow.

Biggest problem with this, doesn't seem to be compatible with linux. Microsoft are going straight to hell for all the telemetry, ads, and garbage nested menu's in it.
As soon as Wayland support becomes stable (sometime next year) i'm probably going to migrate every device in my house to linux.

No. @@ekekw930 Wayland performs much better than Xorg, especially when it comes to video playback. Xorg stutters like a mofo and Wayland is butter smooth.

@@cracklingice Not saying Windows is not a monopoly, but since USA is sold as a country to said monopolies only the EU can change anything. And as you, a linux user knows, even with Steam Deck now out in the wild linus userbase barely rose a single %. So for now Linux stays the vegan of PCs for personal home computing.
