Awesome to see a video from you. All of your videos are full of awesome information and know how. How about we give us a few more videos than last year? Lol. 😂
I use a table saw to cut my tracks. The blade would make your shop smell better than mine. The new Lynx tracks come 15” wide so that could save some people some cutting.
Track newbie here, I’ve always had tracks that have a 2.86 pitch and I’m thinking about ordering a new summit 154 which comes with a 3.5 pitch track, my understanding is the 3.5 is a lighter track due to fewer lugs, I’m curious as to how that will change the performance of the snowmobile, my newbie brain would lead me to believe more lugs = more better. Love the videos! Especially the ones that help me fix my broken snowmobiles!
Too many lugs , acts like a blender , chews the snow instead of packing it ,in front of lug ! Same concept as a Caterpillar track ! The 3.5 pitch tracks are lighter and have better traction !
I had a brand new camso track that lost all clips with the first spin in the shop ... So, I get to learn about fully clipping a track, and how to apply them tight enough to not come off...
I forget what you had to do to take up the extra length of the 165? Did you do bigger wheels or bigger drivers? Or was there just enough adjustment to get it tight
Big wheel or set skid back is what most of us do. I've got skids I've moved back, sometimes forward. It's about getting the geometry for skid correct. But from what I can see he used a bigger driver. In that case sometimes you trim the front of skid and use a anti stab idlers. Many different ways to go about it. Numbers will change also if you drop and roll the case back. You don't have that problem with cats since the M7 as you can slip a 3" with ease since about 05. I know my 16 turbo viper my 2.6 fits with ease. So going that extra few inches the 9' idlers may take up the little extra slack.
If you can find one that involves a impact wrench , that is the best , hand held ones dont work that well ! Buy the expensive clips from camso , they are the best !
@@DIGIT9 I pretty much stay right here in Colorado and Southern Wyoming. Looking for another option other then stock. I just trenches a lot with that stock Arctic cat track. Thank you
I'm looking at extending my 01 zr 800 mod i do most backcountry riding and off trail with my skidoo now and would like to set up this cat to do the same. what would you recommend for a track length and size lug and gearing. I don't ride mountains just alot of off trail.
Something to note, that tool can get the clip too tight. Just watch what your doing and stop before the clip cuts through the rubber. Just get em nice and snug
Question of the Month: 2004 Arctic Cat 800 EFI goes into limp mode @ 4500 rms... TSS has been deleted... what would cause it to go into limp mode / or bog? Bad Servo? Mageto? TPS? Top End? All of the above? Something else? 🤷♂️
Heres mine ...I own 2 2020 backcountry 850s( I'm a doo fan) .... just picked up a 2007 m8 couldn't say no at the price and kids get to beat that up instead of the newer one ... So got all 3 in the garage. Topping up the fluids lol get to the m8 the fuel hole ....its a big gulp!!! Lol it's like a 5" hole lololol ...being that's it's a big gulp lol will it burn it as fast as it goes in !?!?!🤣🤣
Great video ! Should buy doo instead .. learn how maintain it proper .. but it’s been best sled I’ve had … if m8 artic cat was great but doo just been excellent 2018 5000k still going strong only changed rollers and shocks fingers crosse last another season in bc lol
@@MrCoda47 Anyway, there's always room for improvement on all machines. It's a sledderz desire to tinker and manipulate each machine to get the best performance, hence a "mod sled". I grew up with a man who put p.s.i. motors in phazers. Always room to improve.
@@gentilejoshsaved1646 yes, I agree with that statement. I asked the question because I didn't know the answer and I was curious on why and there's always a way to improve all slides. I just was curious on what it did for that particular sled.
I watched your video because I like your content and I watched it all the way through silly algorithm would help you but that was hard to watch why cut the track that to me is stupid and even though I'm giving you shit you know as a content maker that the algorithm likes comments whether good or bad so keep up the videos but quit cutting your track
He’s alive!!!!! Welcome back Rick.
Glad to See you back ! Cheers from Montréal

Ty "professor " for the education! Always a great session watching your channel
Welcome back Tim!
I wanna see some triple content and 1200 turbo. Curious how those sleds are doing after they were blown up.
Still workin on the Turbo , triple runs better than it ever did !
The boy is back!!
Glad to see u back!! Braaaaaaaaaaap
Welcome back buddy...
I've been waiting my whole life for a digit 9 video lol

Was thinking about your vids the other day and have been missing some new content
Ole digit 9 back at it... Brraaaappp
Where yea been dude ?! 👍
She'll be a ripper. You Canadians riding yet? First ride for me in Montana Southwest, this weekend.
Yup , we are riding but conditions are a tad skinny yet !
Why not just buy the lynx shedder track that is already 15 inch wide?
That is an option , NOW !
Wish someone would make them out of Titanium, have you considered nextech's big carbon wheels?
Too much money and no lighter than plastic ones !
Digit 9, so what are your thoughts about cats new catalyst platform?
Havent looked at it yet !
Nice now we need snow

I didnt have to move anything , track fit just right !
Wd-40 or any lube helps alot with cutting rubber
What track clip install tool do you recommend?

Love it man glad your back did you sell your cat?
Nope , not yet !
What kinda beer you got in that fridge?😁 Cheers🍻🍻
In regards to that track your using. How similar ist to the camoplast Epic 280?
280 is similar , not as tall , and a bit softer !
@@DIGIT9 I pretty much stay right here in Colorado and Southern Wyoming. Looking for another option other then stock. I just trenches a lot with that stock Arctic cat track. Thank you
Suspension set up helps alot with trenching too !
@@DIGIT9 ive been watchin your suspention vidios as well. I did a bunch of suspention work last year and still trying to dial it in
still not 100% sure if i understand why you would cut it narrower. Is it a 16 inch track and needed to make it fit in a 15 inch tunnel?
Yes

1 " lug , 144 track , maybe start with 21 / 39 gears ?

DET sensor may be loose or pooched ? I believe torque spec on sensor is 9-11 lbs

Killer hat!!!
How can I make my arctic cat z1 jaguar efi track longer its a 128/15.2.52 pitch lug 1.25 1.10 something like that
Tunnel extension , longer track , longer suspension !
You need some power tools bro, like an oscillating tool
Multi tool would maybe work great for this

Mised u ricko. Lol brapppppp
a little squirt of water while cutting goes a long way
Table saw works way better. Use the buddy system
Buddy system cost me a finger ! Not a great idea !
I can do that on the stock track with it being that loose.
Olfa makes a black blade. They are worlds apart then the standard blade when it comes to sharp..you will thank me later. Just watch you digits 😂
You've got more patience than l have..
I'm sorry, but I'm struggling to figure out why you're doing this I'm sure Kat makes their own tracks, so what's the point?
