I’ve been a fan of Germain’s playing as well as his fabulous compositions for a very long time! Not only is Germain a great fiddler, he is an excellent piano player who is the first call for accompaniment for Calvin Vollrath when he plays in Quebec and Ontario.
He started playing the organ at 3 and when he was 15, Germain learned the fiddle and started to be interested in traditional music. He was influenced in particular by Yvon Cuillerier. Germain has recorded 8 fiddle albums, 2 of which include 40 compositions. He has won several competitions in Quebec, Ontario and the United States and was twice among the 11 at the Canadian Grand Masters. He is also part of the "Kin Ben Ta Tuque" group.
