The fact that there is a concern about getting pgwp after school is more concerning. Canada has realized that the student program is being used as backdoor to immigration. Recall the student letter before coming in? The intent of the program is really just for studying, and the perks after that is an opportunity which can be taken away. The program should have not been advertised as the entry to PR, and partly to blame are the people who are promoting it. Yeah, it's easy to blame the govt for everything, but sometimes people would have to self reflect.
I don’t think they just realized it just now, they have literally pnp programs for post graduate students, and entrepreneur students, the government encourage these students to stay, I guess what they didn’t realize is the influx of students - it is out of control now, so placing the cap is the right thing to do, and also strengthening the PR pathway, students just need to understand that they need the right skillset to get invited for the Pr, having canadian diploma will not give them the right to demand for PR.
Even if you take a Personal Support Worker course, it will still be difficult to get employment after because all the agencies will ask if you have work experience as a PSW before. Without experience, they will not hire you. PSW Certificate is not enough unfortunately.
I think when comes to getting employed, it is challenging in big cities. You have more competition, but if u go to small towns, the students it’s easier to get employed, the problem is most students go to big cities and not willing to move to start somewhere, you need to start somewhere but getting the certification is the first time.
Sorry but as a Canadian, this isn’t about what’s the good them. It’s about what’s best for Canada! When you abuse a privilege, it should be taken away. You are not the exception.
What about those currently doing a Masters degree in STEM for example Masters in Project management? Because one of the first change was that students doung masters will all receive 3 year PGWP regardless of duration of study? So for now thats still the case correct?
I came here 2 yrs ago taking a Community Support Work cert, then extended to an Educational Assistant Cert. Unfortunately both certs are INELIGIBLE JoBS for the AOS. The EA program gave me a minimum Level 1 in childcare It is sooo hard to find a job! You need to be a minimum Level 2 Educator. And even if you are, businesses still won’t choose you. I am stuck in my 2 careers with the fear if never fulfilling the 1 yr work requirement. My pgwp was approved 3 mos ago and until now I am still just a casual EA and PT educator. With all these changes to the policy, a decreasing quality in economy, the inflation - its too much. The constant anxiety of finding a job and keeping that job is concerning when your permit will expire 2027. It may look like its a long way to go but time passes so fast. I wasted 3 months not working FT, i am not okay.
I don’t think immigration programs will settle in the next two years especially with the upcoming elections. It’s either they will continue the current changes or will make it even stricter
Bro we filed an SOWP application by July 22..we opted for a one year master program in Crandall university..as they didn't mentioned any time frame for this limitation will this impact our application or no need to worry??we worried much after this announcement.. kindly advise
Great video, keep it up ❤️ I am planning to apply for pr before I go study in Canada since I have engineering bachelor and 2 years work experience What do you think ?
changing rules midway is unethical ! I'm not saying hand in PR like candy like before but the term was students will get pgwp and now some are about to graduate and you are telling them nah we changed our minds , feels like call center level scam !
I think the most affected are the students that just came here. Probably this year. Affected ng pag taas ng show money, affected ng changes sa number of hours work, affected sa pgwp if makakakuha pa sila after 1-2 years of studying if di sila sa healthcare or construction. Affected sa changes ng LMIA. Affected din sa cost of living and sa overall pag hihigpit ng PR streams. Closed na yung PNP sa ibang province daw kasi quota na sila for this year, some streams nagsara din. Those who grad last 2021 and 2022 are actually the most lucky kasi baka nga nakasama sila sa TR to PR stream. Some grads last 2023 and 2024 PR na, but mostly naghahanap din ng PR pathway.
Yes, I think the TR to PR are the lucky ones, grabe un! Mukang di na mang yayari un, pero I agree with you un mga recent graduates un ang affected, or the ones with PGWP na halos nagamit na un kalahati, kasi ambilis maubos ng PGWP, and again di pwede mag demand ng extension wala tayo sa posisyon na mag demand, tlagang uuwi ka after.

I'm planning to pursue my second Master's degree in Canada (my first was completed in India). I recently received admission to the University of Niagara Falls for a Master's in Business program. I'm concerned about whether I will be eligible for the Post-Graduation Work Permit (PGWP) for 3 years to gain work experience in Canada after completing my studies.
You won't find work. Every international student in Canada is graduating with bogus business degrees from strip mall colleges (not real colleges, degrees aren't even recognized by most employers) and working at Tim Horton's (if they're lucky). our unemployment rate is through the roof and 1 in 4 people can't afford to food. You all are insane wanting to come here
hi coach Mc, Im an intl student and currently pregnant. will give birth on March 2025, will complete my program by April 2025 and our visa will expire on July 2025. IS and OWP are both teer 4. do you advise pgwp , owp extension and sp minor application all at the same time? thank you.
@@peterking3809 Those colleges are a rip-off. Out for your money and employers will never have heard of it. Only go to a publicly funded college in Canada. Privately owned ones are scams. I don't know why foreigner's keep falling for it. Google it.
I personally know someone who took this as NSCC, and had an interview with them in my channel maybe you search on it, but one of his challenge was finding a job.

I am coming to crandal university. Hopefully New Brunswick streams will favour me. The only concern is the New Brunswick pausing there streams
Yes, I think you should be okay, coz y still have time, but others on their pgwp, it is harder for them coz their losing time already.
Thanks coach, always top notch 👌👍
I appreciate that! 🥰

I think Project Management is not part of STEM, its 3 yrs as per the last update.
Hoping and praying. Currently finished my diploma, and waiting for school docs to apply for PGWP.
Just be prepared, be open to move or switch careers.
@@studyliveexploreca What careers do you recommend that are more 'likely' to be approved for PR.
Thanks for this video. So its better to take health care po ba talga considering sa mga nangyayari ngayon.
Do you think office administration- medical stream is part of the health care stream?? I’m quite interested in it
I would always recommend a program with career outcome related to direct patient care.
@@studyliveexploreca oh ok thanks! I’m actually also considering Practical Nursing if it’s available or the mental health and addictions
No, it is not a health stream
will you advise taking Health Care Management for easy PR after completing 2years studied?

This advice. People should really be careful in taking advice from UA-camrs.
You should always take online advice with a grain of salt and be accountable for your actions.

What do you think ?
yes you can to do that but with canada prioritizing people wih canadian experience there’s a big chance for u to study so u can aim for the pgwp
@@studyliveexploreca to be honest I am scared from not getting pgwp after 2 years when I finish 😔 specially I am taking diploma in aviation
How about shifting to culinary coach MC is there a chance for pr pathway ?
Thank you and God Bless
it depends on the province :)

Yes, the cut off score is starting to drop due to the high cec draws, i think over all it has the effect in all categories.
