Glad you are getting some use out of the fish finders! If I remember correctly that 7” Garmin just has the “blue maps” loaded on it so just the salt water maps. Might be able to update lake maps on it but I had trouble with the sd card port. I upgraded that to a lowrance HDS 7 live and it’s been great, prefer the lowrance over Garmin in my opinion.
Hey! Yeah it looks like its geared more for saltwater but it does show the St. Johns River, Lk. Apopka & others. I don't really care about the maps so much, but it is cool! I'll mess around with it some more. Thanks again !

Man I like that swivel mount on that depth finder. Pretty cool, wish I had one like that on my hummingbird. I hope the water test they were doing don’t come back bad . 👍🙏

Feels like something is wrong here. Did you experience such extended no-bite outings at your former Orlando location ? Maybe its time to get scientific about it: interview local experienced fishermen and systematically collect data as time of day you are out, barometric pressure, air and water temps etc and do some comparing. Hey, I feel so sorry for you obtaining such dismal results. You've got to somehow establish the winning conditions. Hell, we're all rooting for you now !!! 😊
Hey. Yeah- not use to getting skunked so much- especially with live bait! Thats all I've been talking about, the science. Should be fishing in front of the cold front not the back of it. Thats why no one is catching anything. These guys come here every year and load up on fish then take them back up north when they go home. The weather patterns have been all over the place, its hot- cold, hot- cold with all these back to back cold fronts coming through. Barometric pressure is all over the place! Even the plants don't know what to do- they think its spring and want to flower then the next front shuts them down again. Even today will be back up close to 80 degrees- then overnight an Arctic Blast is coming through! And thats part of the problem- no one wants to fish in the wind & cold- its brutal! Now, I grew up here- this ain't my first rodeo fishing for Spec's, AKA Crappie. We always did best in the wee hours of the morning, 2 -5 am, not that this was a sure thing but almost always better then daylight fishing. But there again- the older you get the tuffer is is getting out early! Hahaha! Fishing after sunup is a crap-shoot. Like last week the guys (Dan & Paul) finally caught some, one guy got 10 keepers while the other guy caught 5 but only kept 2. Yesterday they each caught only 1- Paul said that last year at this time he probably filleted over a hundred fish! Anyway back to the science, water temp has been good but no one has been been catching anything since I've been here and talking to the locals, its been nothing or 1 or 2 small ones. I finally caught my 1st (and only) fish (Bass)about a week ago. Anyway I haven't been fishing hard, getting out late coming in early, when I should be doing early mornings and early evenings. Through December I was down 10-12+ days from screwing up my back so I've been taking it easy. Its almost gone, I'm walking again! Hahaha- not funny! I think by February things should improve, (my back & the fishing) hopefully the weather patterns will level out and the fish can/will do their thing! And so will I! Thanks again & Stay Tuned !
