Yeah me too wait it out. Then walk and excercise, merry Christmas to you, keep those videos comming , so glad to see you finally caught a fish , man your old place you were hauling em on left and right .
You could mount one on the bow and mount a transducer to the trolling motor hub(with adjustable 6"pipe clamps) to have it where you can see it while in your bow seat !
Yeah I had it bad like that 2-3 years ago- It took 3 months to get rid of it! So these days I have to be real careful about what I do... Hope you feel better and have a Happy New Year! Thanks!
A belated Merry Christmas to you! Looks like Santa treated you good this year. And you caught a fish!!! Comgratulations and may you have a Happy New Year.
A thousand more and you could have a shrimp cocktail. I got a depth finder too. It’s called an oar. If I stick it all the way in the water plus half my arm, it’s deep! 🤣 Good video 👍 Merry Christmas!
that garmin striker 4 is a very good unit and they are budget friendly, will do alot of things that the higher dollar units do, i do alot of crappie fishing, that waypoint marking works good for being able to go back to where you find a good brush pile
On most units you can set an offset for the motor or keel so you know how much water is under the motor or keel. Check the settings. It may not be showing the true depth.
You need to remember that the water depth is measured below transducer. Because of weeds you could get reflective beam. Try changing the frequency of sonar signal. Good luck, Garmin is a very great product been buying their gear for thirty years Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!
Forget the manuels on those fish finders/gps units. GO find a fishermen or boater in your park who has one of these units or similar. Have them show you the basics of running the unit. Then use the instructions for other things you want to learn. Also you may have to insert a SIM or SD card in these units to get full access to the units functions. I have a Lowrance unit actually a few different models of Lowrances. These units can do a lot of things. So get someone who has some experience to show you. Otherwise you gonna get mad & very confused. Merry Christmas & cant wait for another year of great videos from you.
I know about back problems and how you feel.i have 13 screws and 2 rods in my back.i blew it out.as I was a diesel mechanic..I wake up everyday like i.ve been hit in the back with a sledgehammer.i have pain pills but they just knock off the edge.so that being said.i got the medicine you got the smoke.we can stop and get some beer and I,LL show you how to catch them.first time I seen you catch a 🐠 fish.a great day in Florida.
Yeah I was the same with the limping crap-horrible! All I could do was wait it out. Stayed away from anything that would affect my lower back. It always seemed to be when working on something I was either hunched over or had my arms up in the air working over my head with my back arched backwards- like hanging a ceiling fan- those two positions would bring it on or aggravate it for me. So I just avoid doing anything like that anymore. sometimes its hard to avoid things when you got stuff to do! And I don't do pain relievers- I just wait it out-
It should say this in the manual of the Garmin but when you are going through the setup process there is a section for transom off-set ( it I remember correctly). It allows you to set the transducer to measure depth from the bottom of the boat (at the transom) or from the bottom of the outboard (ie, lower unit/ prop). It should give you the option to set it in feet or inches. This may have been done previously, with the result giving you what seems to be an incorrect reading. You may need to adjust the setting for it to read correctly. You will figure it out, the manual is your friend. Merry Christmas.
Can't count on fish finder in that shallow water!! I use mine for depth and water temp...Look for schools of baitfish in deeper waters...Where there is baitfish will be bigger fish...
Yeah me too wait it out. Then walk and excercise, merry Christmas to you, keep those videos comming , so glad to see you finally caught a fish , man your old place you were hauling em on left and right .

How do you get rid of it I have had it over 25 years sometimes I can barely walk limp real bad until my bone snaps back
Yeah I was the same with the limping crap-horrible! All I could do was wait it out. Stayed away from anything that would affect my lower back. Its not the heat-its the humidity, same goes for the cold, its not the cold-its------the cold! Take er easy!
Hahaha- Yep!
Double check your harbor freight meter against a known voltage source. Those freebies have been known to be wildly inaccurate.
Yeah I'm seeing that! Stay Tuned!
@THISOLDOUTBOARD1 I once wasted the good part of a day fixing something that wasn't broke because the meter was so inaccurate.
