Your review is so thorough and helpful; it convinced me to buy the 20cm loop for my cat who has osteoarthritis. The loop arrived today. I’ve used it on Neo 3x, so it’s too early to report on improvement, but I’m hopeful. Did you get the 20cm loop for Porter? Maybe post an update video?
We're so happy to hear that you found the video thorough and helpful. Glad that you were able to get the Loop for Neo - all the best wishes to you and your furry guy. We actually upgraded to the Assisi Loop Lounge mat for total body effect in helping Porter. We placed the lounge inside his carrier that he loves to hang out in, so anytime we see him hanging out in there, we just turn the lounge on and he gets a treatment. It has been what is best for our family and for him. We will try and post an update soon - thanks for the suggestion!
I used this back in 2019 when my dog lost mobility due to really bad joint inflammation. Recommended by my really great holistic vet. Watched how it helped a cat named L'il Bub so I pulled the trigger. He essentially stopped walking and would only go out to pee while I held him up him with a support harness. After 5 days of using the Loop, I took him to the park just to get some sun and a change of scenery even if he wasn't going to walk. It turned out to be a 15 minute walk, with some help from the support harness but mostly on his own. First long walk he had in many, many months. Not a cheap device but I recommend it giving it a try if meds are not working for you.
I'm about to purchase an assis loop lounge for my 21 year old princess, I hope it's helpful, I'm not entirely sold on the product but think it's worth a try.
Sadly we never got the chance. Satine was in her 4th year with kidney disease plus had pancreatitis and arthritis. Fluids every night, anti nausea meds every day and a host of other things to keep her comfortable. She made it to her 21st birthday. She ended up with a kidney infection that couldn't be cleared, on antibiotics for 12 weeks (amoxicillin followed by Veraflox then baytril, I wanted baytril to begin with due to her age and kidney disease but vet just wouldn't agree to it, it was a UTI to begin with but vet dragged their feet and the infection made its way to her kidneys) . Her USG was 1.008, infection wasn't clearing, her bloods were getting worse, I helped her pass. I miss her terribly.
@@stevewalters1665 I am sad to hear of your loss ❤🩹 It sounds like you did the very best for your girl throughout her life. Thank you for being such a dedicated pet parent ♥
Great review. My cat had a serious hip/socket injury several years ago as a kitten. As an adult, she appears fine, since, but was wondering if Loop treatment could mitigate later senior age-related issues, now, as a preventive measure? And if "yes," how many treatments per day as a mitigative treatment? (and yes, I understand any advice is purley suggestive on my description given and that visiting our Vet is preferable [of which we shall, too]) 😃
so sorry I am just seeing this now. That's a very interesting question. I would imagine the most healing that was going to happen on that joint occurred within the first several months after the injury. However, previous injuries can predispose the body to develop arthritic changes earlier than it would naturally, I could see this treatment modality as being beneficial. In terms of a therapeutic recommendation, I would default to your vet or the educated members at Assisi Animal Health assisianimalhealth.com/ - all the best!
Thank you for the review. I'm seriously thinking of getting an Assisi Loop. My 13 yo cat has severe arthritis. He has been on Solensia for a few months but I will stop it because he got bad side effects last time. He also has stage 2 CKD and can't be put on NSAID. Do you think he would benefit from the Loop if he has no other type of pain control? I am not expecting a miracle cure, but for him to be a bit better. Thank you.
We're so sorry that your senior cat is having these health concerns. Having both Kidney Disease and severe Arthritis is very common in older cats and it certainly makes pain management very challenging. It sounds like you've done a great job for caring for your boy. We are unable to give specific veterinary advice as we don't have a Veterinary-Patient-Client-Relationship, however in general, the Assisi Loop is a great option for pets who are unable to tolerate other medications as it most typically doesn't have any adverse side effects. But please note that for chronic conditions such as Arthritis and CKD, it will take at least 4 weeks of regular use before your cat would be receiving the full benefits of the loop and you seeing any benefits, and you're right, the benefits may only be mild. But, it is important to mention that it could make a significant difference in the Quality of Life of your boy, so it could really be worth pursuing. The purchase does require a veterinary prescription and I would direct you to learn more at the Assisi Loop website. On a side note, you may want to consider looking into the Assisi Lounge as opposed to the loop; with multiple joints affected by arthritis and the kidney disease, the lounge mat would have total body treatment, as opposed to the Loop would be limited to the area of the body that the loop is placed on, where as the entire body and kidney would receive benefit from laying on the lounge all at one time. We switched Porter over to the lounge and he uses it multiple times per day.
@@petcomfortvet Thanks a lot for taking the time to reply! I have asked my vet about it and they will look into it because they don't know the product. If need be I will book a tele-consultation on your website to get a prescription. Thanks.
Thank you so much for your thorough review! I've watched your video 3 times now since I am mulling over which Assisi products to purchase. What size would you recommend for the Assisi Loop Lounge? My dog's PT recommended a bed-sized Lounge and not the carrier-sized one since he may spend more time on the bed. What do you think? Also, for the Assisi Loop, did you get the manual or automatic? Any thoughts on what you think would be a better investment?
While I am unable to give specific advise, the lounge is beneficial for total body therapy. Assisi Animal Health's website assisianimalhealth.com/ has the sizes that may be helpful in deciding which mat size is the best for your pet. All the best!
Our Instagram feed @petcomfortvet has tons of videos of us using it on Porter. Checkout our downloadable resources on our website petcomfortvet.com (petcomfortvet.com/downloadable-resources), there you will find the pain scales for both dogs and cats as well as the grimace scale for cats. We hope that helps.

Thanks for the review. You are a gem.

Thank you for this. I wish it was rechargeable. Its expensive for something that eventually dies.
Really? Geez, that would be expensive
Yes, I agree. There is the Assisi Loop Lounge, which is a mat that guarantees 6000 treatments. Check out: assisianimalhealth.com/
I can’t believe that you didn’t even show us how do use the darn thing especially to use it on a cat.
