Guys watch illumination migration
Holy shit something just hit me and i dont think they covered this in the first season unless i glazed over it but.....The black woman overseer (sorry forgot her name) is the wife of the Ghoul. Im going to feel pretty dumb if if this was covered in the first season or im missing something pretty stupid. But Vault 31 has to be housing management from Vault Tech, call me crazy call me stupid.
Hey please react Indians movies

betty is his wife's secretary, we see her in another flashback later when cooper goes to spy on his wife at work
Does anyone seriously pay for this mystery-meat type trash food that's all individually wrapped like plastic pollution is not a thing? I bet 90% of that stuff has animal based ingredients too 🤮
The line “Everyone wants to save the world, they just disagree on how” is honestly as relevant as “War, war never changes”.
Especially because of the line right before "What happened?" "What always happens". Nolan has a knack for great lines, after all he wrote the line from The Dark Knight "you either die a hero or you live long enough to see yourself become the villain"
War changes every time. People never changes
I like how they were all against Maximus getting the gun but Maximus proves that he knows how the wasteland works.
Not just that but the only thing he actually excelled at during his Brotherhood training was marksmanship, if anyone is going to win a gunfight (that doesn't involve the Ghoul) it's Maximus.
hinted at in the first episode that Maximus is good at combat. When he gets hit for not knowing the diagram the teacher says “combat isn’t the only thing you need to know”
Maximus really be running that int 1 build where he only gets the low int dialogue options, bro literally keeps saying the worst possible thing he can in every situation.
to me it look more like charisma 1 or survival 1
He's pretty much a veteran player's character, knows exactly what to do in a dire situation (like with the Fiends) but has zero interpersonal skills. Charisma 1, Guns 100
Perception wise he's pretty low socially but combat wise he's fine.
Except everyone he encounters actually does care about him. He finds himself in the right situation at the right time. Which has him start as squire in training to….
1 int 10 luck with idiot savant
Blows my mind every time that Thaddius' actor is 42 lol
what the fuck?
@@MunchingSawdust23 ikr? He was in 21 jump street and looks exactly the same 12 years later lmao
Real life ghoul!
no way, he still looks like a teenager
oh damn what?! i thought he was in his late 20s, early 30s at most
The real question is how old is Norm's actor, and should he be Lucy's younger or older brother lol
It's amazing how many people don't pick up on the fact that there are *TWO* separate bombing incidents - one 219 years ago that forced the vault dwellers inside, and one that destroyed Shady Sands when Maximus was a kid. I can't work out how people are missing it, they show Maximus' origin story fairly early...
It a alittle confusing at first glance but we ususally get it soon after that. Then the show clears it up completely
Normies completely missing that people from 31 keep being elected Overseer, making an entire conspiracy where 33 and 32 are being completely replaced by 31 xD
They aren’t being replaced, they’re being manipulated. The only thing happening is that they keep getting infiltrated and then electing the infiltrator to lead them.
They're not being replaced, they're being controlled. 31 is "management".
I'm so glad somebody else caught that as well. I think they also missed the point that Lucy's mom, who according to Lucy died in some famine years earlier and was from vault 33 AND it was her Pip-Boy that opened up Vault 32 "from the outside."
God bless them, they're mostly idiots. Did you watch their band of brothers or pacific reactions? That's when I figured out they're all airheads.
I dont even get mad anymore for them not paying attention lol. It just happens so often
There are so many bad reads on Maximus. He's not dumb, or untrustworthy... he's a scared, bullied kid that's a bit naive because never really grew up. He built up this image of what he thought the BoS was/should be because they 'saved' him, and he's trying to roleplay that heroic ideal. That's why he let Titus die, because he didn't measure up. He thought he could trust Thaddeus so opened up to him, only to feel betrayed and threatened, so went into self-preservation mode. He's intent on getting the head because he needs to prove (and save) himself.
Lol first reactors I've seen that actually trust the fiends on the bridge. Lmao I guess it makes sense that the Normies would actually fall for it.
Me on the other hand would've had the strap out ready 😂
It's literally Ted Lasso all over again. They misread so many situations and it's hilarious 😂
lol. Yeah they won’t last in the wasteland.
They're always so overconfident and so wrong
@@joshuabarnett88 like how the f did they not understand that the scene on the computer was about all overseers being from 31
"What if they all came from 31?" Like how do you even get to that question
All of the Normies would have died in the Wasteland. They really trusted the folks on the bridge! The only reactors to think Maximus was stupid for wanting the gun.
So u think Lucy's stupid?
@@n.t3026 Maximus and her are both naive
@@n.t3026 Maximus got shot cause of Lucy so yeah in that situation she was being pretty stupid.
@@nandoman4769 dont talk about my gf like that
Yo... How you gonna call Maximus dumb while you fall for the fiends on the bridge? Leave Maximus alone; he isn't supposed to act like he's watched a bunch of tv
Okay, nobody is defending Max, so I need to step in here for the little brotha:
1. "You stupid MF, you know this is all your fault": "You gotta be the worst fucking squire there is". We KNOW Titus was gonna woop Maximus' ass the minute he got that stimpak, and then just get himself a new squire. That isn't even a if/maybe, that was a fact! Max was done for the moment Titus got on his feet, especially in a world where "it's not a problem, we got plenty of squires".
2. We know that "squires who fail their knights" get a bad end. Rapaport went at great lenght about what was gonna happen to Maximus if he showed up alive and his knight dead: "They string you up by your lungs, they hang you, and they let the vultures come get you".
So, what exactly was Maximus supposed to do here?
Now we all know Maximus is a bit slow and relies entirely on his Luck stats and Idiot Savant perk to survive because otherwise, his inteligence and charisma stats must be on the negative numbers. But you can't fault him for using his multi-concussed brain to come up with this dumb story, hoping that showing up with the head would save him from the BoS' wrath.
Finally someone who understands Maximus
Finally, a fellow Maximus defender lmao! Not gonna lie, the more I've rewatched this show the more I realized that while Maximus does fumble and say the wrong thing pretty much every time, his actual thought process for a lot of his messy decisions is pretty sound. I have a lot of thoughts about his plans with the head, especially the way he goes about it in the last episode, that I think no reactor has given him enough credit for....but maybe I'll save those thoughts until the actual episode lol
Everyone but Suraj completely misreading Maximus. They're mistaking incompetence for malice. He's a good person
Maximus might be my favorite character in the show so far. I know a lot of people prefer the other two, but what I like about Maximus is that he's a wild card, an unquantifiable spark. I can tell where Lucy and Ghoul will end up more or less, but I can't tell where Maximus is going to go. Is he going to end up a hero, anti-hero, or villain? It's exciting not knowing, and I'm curious to find out.
I agree! While my own standard of 'likeability' makes the other two also favourites of mine, I'm excited because I have zero clue what Maximus will do next because he's so willing to go to moral extremes for self preservation, even comfort.
The show: So, all the people from 31 who went to 33 were chosen as overseers. Suspicious.
The Normies: WAIT WHAT IF THEY WERE ALL FROM 31 ORIGINALLY?
Jesus, media literacy these days...
To be fair when you have a room full of people trying to make jokes and wise regards is hard to concentrate on whats happening.
@@zzxp1 this is true. mostly i try to avoid reaction channels with more than 2 people but i kinda have a soft spot for these guys!🙂
Like seriously! Lots of plot just flies over these people’s heads lol
Right? Like, dang y'all
Bc I binged all the episodes, every time a reactor drops a fallout video I have to think “ok what happened in this episode again” lol
While I agree Maximus just keeps saying the worst thing he could say I honestly think it stems from him feeling like the truth would just make people not like him or trust him even less in some weird way.
okay not EVERYTHING is a direct nod to the games. When shes shooting the gun shes not holding it "just like the games" shes just holding a gun bro
4:26 "Aaahh... wire" moment.
It's called a fusion core 🤣 and last episode Suraj called karma 'morale'. 💀 5:46 "the way she aims is just like the game" huh? 💀 why are Suraj and Micky pretending to know about Fallout lol
Homie… so they don’t have encyclopedic knowledge of every game term, does that mean they never played the game hahaha
6:51 Aside from the fact he just got burned telling the truth 😅
Didn’t he also claim to be Titus when they first met in Filly? Or am I misremembering that?
@@alecLogan “Stand Down Ghoul”
“Knight Titus of the Brotherhood of Steel, stand down or be cut down”
Yea he announced himself as such
I’m pretty certain that Maximus has the Idiot Savant perk, as that’s one of the only reasons he’s been able to last this long.
He’s made better decisions than Lucy. By far.
And high endurance and strength. Guy takes so many head blows and keeps on trucking
@@marvymarv959 He really hasn't. At least Lucy's decisions are born of naivety, idealism and having grown up extremely sheltered whereas Maximus is just plain *BAD* at making almost any decision regardless of the situation. Even the stuff he's supposed to know or be good at.
@@officiallyjan8596 what is he supposed to be good at? How do you know how he grew up? He’s experienced a lot of trauma. He experienced abuse. He’s naive about life in some ways too. How long does Lucy get to use the naive excuse? Every episode almost she does something stupid. When will she learn to not be impulsive. But it’s ok bc she’s cute and says cutesy things like okey dokey. What’s one smart thing she has done?
@@officiallyjan8596 he let Titus die. Good decision. He intervened when Lucy was fighting ghoul good decision. He was on guard and prepared to shoot fiends on bridge good decision. We warned Lucy don’t enter the hospital/vault good decision. He gave Lucy the severed head at the end…good decision.
And the Normie tradition of completely misreading the situation continues with the fiends on the bridge. EVERYONE was like "say your armed, just go!" I call it the Lasso Effect...
It's honestly wild.
maximus gets a lot of hate from so many reactors. i don't see it. sure, he's fkn dumber than a box of rocks sometimes, but evil? nah! he absolutely called that whole situation on the bridge. how do people think it would have gone if they had admitted they were armed? also, when sh1t went down, he kept cool and took care of business. he isn't perfect, but he definitely isn't bad.
The 3 biggest things Ella Purnell is known for is playing Jackie in Yelllowjackets, Jinx in Arcane and Dave Batista's daughter Kate in Zack Snyder's Army of the Dead.🙂
Maximus isn't evil IMO, he's just impulsive. He doesn't think anything through. And what is it about the Brotherhood and, destroying people's feet??
Why were y'all shocked when Maximus shot at those fiends on the bridge? Y'all were on Lucy's side with showing their weapons but he's lived on the surface for a longer period of time so it makes sense that he knows how those type of exchanges usually go. She would have gotten them killed.
also since chris talked about skippy (the talking gun from cyberpunk) , once he tells you to return him to his owner, you can put him on v's gun wall, and every time you walk in he screams "bad user, bad user!!" i fucking love that game lmaoo
"why you hesitating"
hes picking a speech option. the other person usually just idles when the character decides
this episode made me think about something crazy, Lucy reminded me of Dorothy wandering in the Land of Oz, Maximus is the Tin Woodmen looking for his heart, the Goul is the Scarescrow who lost his mind and Wilzig was the Cowardly Lion (who found his courage to leave the Enclave), I have other analogies but they could be classified as spoiler so I will leave it for the future lol
Fiends are legally distinct from raiders. Raiders ‘can’ on occasion wind up eating the soylent green of people (but will go for most else if they have options), Fiends specialize in it and make weapons out of the bits they don’t eat.
All Maximus had to say was, “we were attacked by a Yao Gui, Titus was mortally wounded so he ordered me to take his armor and complete the mission.”
But Maximus is running Idiot Savant so…
Max keeps on rolling Nat 1…
Maximus stats from in game.
7/10 Strength, 6/10 Perception, 6/10 Endurance, 5/10 Charisma, 4/10 Intelligence, 7/10 Agility, 5/10 Luck
He is basically below average smarts and average in social skills.
The hate on maximus is totally weird to me, like why, even when he told the two cannibals he wasn't armed, that was a smart choice, and you guys still hate on him why?
Makes you think that Overseer Hank must have known what was happening in Vault 32 all along.
I really didn't think they'd even go back to the vault after the first episode... but as cool as everything is upstairs, the vault became the most interesting part of the show.
DONT SCARE ME LIKE THAT EVER AGAIN
10:51
"The Normies and Vault-Tec bring you an explosion of flavor!"
[DISCLAIMER: NOT A REAL NUCLEAR EXPLOSION]
and with those 6 and 9 suits ))
You need to start giving warnings to headphone users for whenever Marketa screams.
Id assume that the Power Armor has a T on it because its T-60 power armor? Guessing its for Titus makes sense, but something that standardized in shape etc seems original to the armor, not like its been added.
I’m thinking the shape was welded on because the indent looked jagged like it was man made
Ella Purnell is Jinx from Arcane.
Spent entire episode hating on maximus... Maximus is correct about bridge
encounter danger and saves lucys life.... Normies say nothing.
HATERS
Lucy is when you play a 'good' playthrough.
The Ghoul is when you play an 'bad' playthrough.
Maximus is when you play to whatever choices suit your needs at the time. 😂 He's the morally grey character.
i was watching this when it was cut by youtube and then the whole normies channel was gone, but now its back thank god
It still played on my TV even though the channel ceased to exist via PC.
Thank you Normies 👍
Wish you guys the best
And very happy the channel is back-up on UA-cam
Maximus was a fool to tell Thaddeus anything before their mission was over or at the very least elaborated what really happened to Titus other than saying "He's dead". Maximus keeps making the worst decisions, minus with the fiends.
No he wasn’t. Everything that happened was supposed to happen. If he wasn’t right there in that suit Lucy would have showed up and prob died.
@@marvymarv959Why? She had those roaches toasted
Nah, IMO he just presented it completely wrong. He was trying to get Thaddeus to go along with the lie to try and not get caught, when he should have approached it by saying he would come clean as soon as they presented the target. Also by being super shady about how Titus died.
@@CartesianDuelist and promptly passed out.
@@CartesianDuelist Radiation sickness.
I heard a theory that Maximus has "idiot's savant" and its now my personal headcannon.
The bridge crossing is a perfect Example of "community counselor de-escalation officers" at work.
[ Insert parable of the scorpion and the frog ]
Yeah, Slogan's like "Hope and Change" Have a strong effect on the weak mind. Every overseer of significance came to vault 33 from vault 31. Every. One.
Every gamer ever looked at that "go here" light in the hospital and screamed TRAAAP!
27:11 The first bombs fell in 2077 and the Ghoul used to be a Marine, BEFORE He was an actor. He beat maximus because he is intimately familiar with the armor the war in the alaska campaign. T60s are prewar tech.
A cockroach that huge would definitely chew through that armor, might take some time but it will. Bro would be long dead by then though.
For me this proves maximus knows how the wasteland operates, he literally looked up to the knights and was disappointed, he tried to save a man getting beat up and found out the dr was fucking a chicken, he sold his tooth, just to get a 2 sec fix, he doesn't know anything about lucy why should he trust her with his real name?
You looked at Ella Purnell's filmography but didn't notice Arcane? I guess you guys know by now, but I wanted to see the moment of realization.
The reason Maximus lied was because he proclaimed to be Titus in Filly. If he said his name was Maximus then she would be even more hesitant to trust him. But since he’s already lied, he’s stuck in the lie if he wants her to trust him immediately before they both die.
The way I see to this point, is that the broadcast with the rats might be indicative of how the vaults are managed. If they gave them an utopia, it would make them crazy and kill each other but if they gave them struggles and constant survival then they'd thrive. Maybe 32 wisened up to the plan.
I can't wait until you guys get to the last episode
Remember in the first episode, it was mentioned that both 32 and 33 had a famine, and 33 came out of it in better shape.
10:49 If UA-cam ads were half as good, I'd immediately deactivate my ad blocker. That was hilarious.
I used to think Spidey was cool. What is with all the light skin slander?
I'm so excited to see their reaction to... let's call it THE TALK, next episode.
Also, why would they bury anyone with their Pipboy?
Don't they need to hold on to those for future generations?
Suraj's hair is growing out so beautifully.
'feels like all the vaults are social experiments' check out the fallout bible. Provides all kinds of weird niche details that never quite made it into the first 2 games.
Betty saying she buried his mom made no sense. There's no cemetery in the vault.
"what's a vault to a non-believer" 😂😭
"Remember that man I left with with the whole body?"
They could sell badges that say "I voted for Betty".
2:31 ughh someone gonna check on Chris… what was he doing here 🤣🤣

Todd Howard is a huge Indiana Jones fan. It makes more since why Maximus survived in a fridge during a bomb drop. That's the only connection to that I would think.
Maximus must have idiots savant
