- In this exciting video, join me as I go shore diving in the beautiful waters of Ngawi, searching for the prized blackfoot pāua. I navigate the underwater terrain and successfully gather a good feed of these delicious shellfish. But the adventure doesn’t stop there! I get incredibly lucky and manage to catch a nice-sized crayfish, adding an extra thrill to the dive.
Back on the beach, I savor the fresh pāua raw - a truly delicious experience that you won't want to miss. Dive into this journey with me, and don’t forget to like, comment, and subscribe for more kai gathering adventures!

Mean kai bro crays be out soon winter dives are much calmer an viz way better I recon...but that cold 🥶
Bro, when you catch paua, hit the middle of thefoot real hard with the butt of your knife or a rock. That will kill it and it will go soft and tender. Grew up diving ngawi to Glenburn.
ooosh brother. Mean trick. 🤙🏾
I gotta try this bro. Thankyou
The other trick is to drop them in boiling water for 30 seconds. They pop outa the shell and are soft as latex.
Windy as!! Pretty good vis though 👌. Good collection of kai moana for a tasty feed, that cray was going for the great escape 😆 Hope the thumbs holding up 🤙

Meke bro! Beauty size crayfish for the bag mean buzz! Winny 🤙🏾
Was hoping to see a mean cook up after that, the best videos are the ones with a good cook up
Tune in for next week's video I do a catch and cook flounder fritters 😋
Awesome job in that wind.
It's kind of strange! The NZ abalones and the fish caught appeared to be dark in colour reflecting the dark grey (almost black) sand beaches. Here in Australia the abalones are either green or dark lipped with white patches at the centre and very different to those of NZ' s.
