2014 Mitsubishi Outlander Sport Snowy Off-Road Review & Misadventure

- ( www.TFLcar.com ) The 2014 Mitsubishi Outlander Sport is small AWD crossover that competes with new cars like the Mazda CX-5. With just 8.5 inches of ground clearance the 2014 Mitsubishi Outlander Sport isn't engineered to go steep and deep into the snowy Colorado wilderness. In another accurate, fun and informative TFLcar video we get stuck yet again in the Colorado Rocky Mountains testing the newest crossover from Mitsubishi.

lol trying a car in the snow with all season tires... those guys just hate Mitsubishi and this review is biased, they should be ashamed of doing such subjective reviews.
Exactly, I mean, you can't have all season tires on a mountain in Colorado, or even Colorado streets for that matter.
👍
It’s not biased at all...I’ve had 2 AWD outlander sports since 2013 and they’re terrible in rain and snow. They’re too light and slide all over the place, I’ve shelled out over $900 for the “best” tires that still didn’t make much of a difference. I love this car because it’s awesome on gas mileage and I drive a far distance for work, but it SUCKS in any weather condition other than dry/normal that I’ve experienced in northeast Ohio.
@@bethaneyalbright6805 I recently bought a 2015 GT with 60k miles and recently rained in town with massive downpours over three days with floodind everywhere and this Sport drove through heavy rain and handled as if the roads were dry. Of course, you have to have it set to 4wd auto.
@@bethaneyalbright6805 Can't be that bad, you had 2.
Mine is a bulldozer in the snow with all weather tires, not winter.
Perhaps your 'best' tires ain't so best.
I have a BASE MODEL 2013 outlander sport, with the all wheel drive option. I got stuck in the middle of a blizzard on Loveland Pass IN FREKIN COLORADO, AT ELEVATION (~11,000 FEET), in the middle of the night, in the middle of winter. Guess who made it out WITHOUT A SINGLE ISSUE. This guy and his OUTLANDER SPORT--ALL STOCK WITH NON SNOW TIRES. Put her in All Wheel Lock, and let the car do the rest. That night made me a believer in this affordable but rugged CUV. Also, paid 23,000 including taxes and fee's.
That's a great story. I have only owned one Mitsubishi and it was such an amazing little SUV. One day I will own another.
Larry Campbell
I think the SE model is best value. SE fwd with snow tires will get er done in a little more comfort and style.
Thank you.
Six years after release, and I'm looking at a used Outlander as my next car. Listening to these two guys laugh their way through this review, what I take away from it is how hard they had to work to actually get it stuck. From the look of things, a set of Coopers or BFGs would make this little box almost unstoppable.
I put Faulken wildpeak ATs on my 21 its great in snow!
Despite all the complaints by Roman, the Outlander Sport never got stuck in this very deep snow.
Roman is a mitsubishi hater and a subaru fan boy..he is bias..
Aaron Paul De Leon True, I think he dislikes them and has no time for them. Actual owners of Mitsubishi products seem satisfied however.
buildmorefarms100
And never had proper tires to begin with 💪🏻 💎
U just don't know how good a Mitsubishi is. And Roman talks like u get a gold car for that prize 🤣
The old lady in the passenger seat is the worst backseat driver ever.
put snow tires on that outlander like I did and its unstoppable in the snow!
agreed!
Man I was on the verge of taking my new 13 outlander back within a week because I was fearing for my life driving it in our snow storm
I have Nokian all weather tires on mine, goes through snow like a hot knife through butter.
I have an Outlander Sport and it is a great vehicle! It cost me over $3000 less than comparable vehicles. It has outstanding features - heated seats, heated mirrors, smart key start, kick-ass paddle shifters, 18" alloy rims and plenty of power. Drove all the way across Illinois last January - when interstate was covered with 2 - 3 inches of ice and the four wheel drive system and traction control worked great. Drove it in 10 inches of snow last winter and yes it got stuck twice - but got out after clearing some snow away from tires - but then I only have "All Weather" tires on it. I highly recommend this vehicle - this is the best vehicle I ever owned! Really fun to drive!
+Jerry Tremmel Stuck in 10 inches of snow? I want a vehicle that can handle 15+ inches of snow. I think A Subaru would be better in deep snow and on ice but the Mitsubishi is a great value. The Hyundai of japan.
Eagle View HD I'm not sure how he drives. But I can assure you this car is fine. I live in New Hampshire, we had a storm of 24 inches of snow. I took this beast out, awd lock. And it came out like nothing. Just have to be smooth, all season tires btw
All weather tires or all season?
Big Papa all Weather Tires.
Forgot to mention I think Outlander Sport has the best HID headlight system in any car you can buy. These headlights provide a super bright 180 degree band of light - and the focus can be adjusted up- and down from inside the car. I love driving this car at night. You need to see how great these headlights are.
Totally agree.
I'll totally get this car. Its good looking and not to many people have them, so I will not fill like I am following the bandwagon by getting something like the Ford Escape or the Honda CRV like everyone else.
I feel the same way, NOT THAT MANY PEOPLE HAVE IT, I would love it in black with black tires😉
Mitsubishi 4wd is legit. We just had a sh*t ton of snow in the North East and my 2014 Outlander handled it like a champ.
Too much fun watching rwd and 2wd cars in front of me struggle to climb up a slight incline while my Outlander playfully drives up and down unplowed roads no problem.
I have a 2016 with 2.4L 4wd and it does just fine lol even keeps up with my jeep owner friends they say that thing NEVER seizes to amaz them lol
Roman is the most annoying backseat driver of all time. Seriously man, just be quiet for ONCE.
I love the Mitsubishi Outlander Sport
Even though Im a Jeep owner I think this little crossover is cool and a good value compared to toyota/nissan/honda. Nice styling too.
there is no problem in a car, but in drivers :/
Why do you rev so hard on snow? When I learned how to drive on snow everybody told me 2nd gear (or CVT equivalent) and less than 2.000 RPM, even less than 1500 if its a diesel when trying to get ummm unstuck.
Ironically you said that snow wouldn't get a Subaru stuck, and yet a year later it did get a Subaru forester stuck. Thumbs up for the Mitsu. Now if only they'd put the Evo bits in it. Double the HP in that would be sweet.
I love the looks of this Outlander sport!!! With discounts it is low 20's loaded for awd and 5yr/60k mile bumper to bumper warranty! Do I need to tell Nathan and Roman not to floor the throttle when you are slipping? That seals your fate getting stuck...this is basic info guys.
I agree with Nathan...they need to build more capable small CUVs (they're all getting too big). I'm pleasantly impressed with the Outlander Sport...put proper snow tires on and it would run through that terrain just fine. I like the exterior styling...it's conservative yet sporty. And the interior is simple but tasteful. The motor is adequate for a vehicle this size and price. This vehicle is a great candidate for an EVO-type option...I think it would sell like hotcakes and bring a much needed brand resurgence...it could be the poor man's Macan.
I have a 2007 outlander (stock) and we got 14 inches of snow/ ice and I made it no problem
Your fixation with petrol is amazing I have the 1.8 4wd diesel version in uk and I can get on a run 600 mils for a full tank and around town over 450 to the tank... had vehicle over a year and its a lovely drive.
2/3 of the country is -20 for 4 months out of the year which leads to some problems with diesel. Plus, diesel fuel sometimes is much higher than gasoline. Practical for a lot of situations.. not a fixation
Think the outlander offers a nice small crossover after the Rav4 1st + 2nd gen became larger. Pretty nice as well, and amazing ground clearance
This is an ASX in Norway.
And by the way, driving on snow with all season tires, is the same as driving on snow with summer tires here in norway. Thats why they struggling off-road.
The big issue is tires. The stock "all-season" tires suck on almost all of these cars. Get a good snow tire, and test it with that.
Good point
👍
Can confirm through my own snow driving experience. The tires make the car in snow
I have a 2020 and swapped tires for 215/70/16 toyo open country at3 and it’s amazing in snow
Nice off road tires.
Exactly, they are flat cheap all season tires haha
Winter tires🤣🤣🤣
No winter tires and was there an AWD Lock button?
2nd that! Based on the driving comments sounds like they had it in distributed rather than locked mode.
This needs the 2.4 liter engine and it would sell like crazy!!
I have the 2013 mitz sport AWD, record snowfall last winter and my suv was one of the only ones that could get out of our housing complex. no snow could stop it. Im not sure why they kept getting stuck.
Yea they kinda annoy me...
Agree...I have a set of just for winter 16 inch steelies and snow tires. Even in front wheel drive it does great!
Because they didnt have snow tires equipped and they like to talk trash
Oitlander sports just need good driver behind the wheel.
The AWD drive system looks pretty competent.
Below is a link to a snow/mud test of a group of SUVs.
From the tested cars the Kia Sportage, VW Touareg, Honda CRV, Mitsubishi Outlander (with the same system as shown here), Volvo XC 60 are also available in the US.
totalcar.hu/tesztek/2013/02/14/nagy_suv_terepteszt/
You may translate the written test to English and watch the video afterwards. There are two attempts with each car. The first one with full auto mode and the second with all available tweaks (locking the differential, traction control off, elevated suspension etc). All cars equipped with the manufacturer suggested winter tires. Hope you find it informative.
these guys are making fun of the car more than reviewing it
ricio cortes-romero Yes they hate Mitsubishi's, well Roman does.
I think with better tires that would have had no problems in the snow whatsoever. Maybe Cooper Discoverer AT3, if they make them in that size.
Red is a bad omen.... All of the cars you have had misadventures with, have been red..... MIND BLOWN
Nathan does a good job, the other guy does a great job at never shutting the phuck up. Hard to take this seriously when you have an annoying loudmouth.
I once owned a small SUV that was sold under the Dodge name plate, it was the Dodge Raider. It was either an 87 or an 88 model. Mine was the short wheelbase model with one door on each side and one back door. It was a four-cylinder with a five-speed transmission. That was one of the best and most practical (for me) automobiles that I have ever owned. I bought mine used, from a very good friend. I was very young and very inexperienced at the time when I traded it off for something else. It developed a costly engine problem when it was at around the 300,000 mile mark. If I had it to do over, I would have just bought a new/remanufactured engine and I might still be driving it today. I was worked at a Japanese manufacturing plant in NC and we had quite an assortment of CNC and NC machining centers, as well as a large number of robots. I once asked one of our best maintenance men, a fellow named Walter, about a new piece of equipment that we had received, it was a Mitsubishi, and he said that "from past experience, anything with a Mitsubishi motor is trouble free as long as the oil changes are done on schedule." I really hope that Mitsubishi starts selling the Montero in this country (U.S.A.) again. And it would be really nice if they would import the short wheelbase Montero's with a Diesel engine and a manual transmission.
I lives in Massachusetts we getting a lots snow . Year 2017 i think. We get almost 4 feet of snow and I had 2013 outlander sport 4wd and still have it no snow stop me at all. I had opportunity to help other people with jeep Cherokee got stuck. That was really fun little car pulling a heavy car.. was really nice experience.
I believe in the revival of Mitsubishi, heavily considering this, its looks are really compelling I just wish they could work on improving their luxuries
The problem is between the driver seat and the wheel.
In Germany those are called the Mitsubishi ASX and are quite popular. When my '04 RAV4 finally goes out (maybe a while yet I hope) I was thinking of picking up one of these used. My choice (which is not in the US) is a 1.8DiD engine 150hp 300nm torque coupled to a 6sp manual and of course 4wd. I also like the olderOutlander from 2010-2013. Of course it depends on how long my RAV4 goes, have yet to see a softroader 4wd perform like the older RAV's!
Do it. i have one 4 years now and i'm very happy check my video channel , i have many ASX tests i did. check on SamAir77 . go for it
Oh no the 4wd car wont climb the hill with all 4 wheels spinning on the snow. Try putting some real tires on that. I get it if you're saying the M+S is a lie on the side of the all season tire. I'm willing to bet it would get around out there with some real rubber.
its not that bad guys. i own this car as 1.8 DID 4x4 and its doing a good job here in greece.give it a chance once and make a video comparing it with other crossover of this size and see the diff. looking forward this video. good job
7:15 "this snow would get a Subaru stuck"
Lmao impossibru!
Seriously?! An Outlander?!
Why not review the mitsubishi pajero/shogun as it is the top of the class Suv in mitsubishi so please TFL I would love to see the pajero/shogun reviewed by you guys! :D
I hope you read my comment! :D
It dug it's way out of something it was never designed for and with 2 yobbos trying to get it stuck as well add to that regular all season tires. With proper snow tires this thing could be an old man winter ass kicker no wonder mitsubishi cracked 100k in sales last year they might just manage to hang on
👍
I agree the ES base w/ manual trans starting under $20k is a small suv bargain, that's comparable to small cars like the Corolla, Civic, Focus. The fully loaded ones get pricey.
I'm pretty sure most cars now use plastic fenders. Hell, my focus has FELT rear wheel wells.
We own a 2016 Mitsubishi Outlander Sport 2.4L GT 4X4 and could not be happier! We purchased it on 10/31/16 brand new. It was $32,940.00 and after Rebates and Discounts it was $26,700.00. Our GT was higher than most as it had the Optional Navigation Package, LED Interior Illumination Package, Upgraded LED Fog Lights to match the HID Headlights, Cargo Package, Remote Engine Start, Park Assist Package, Chrome Package, Sport Package with Larger Rear Spoiler and Steel Fuel Door, Mud Guards, Rear Silver Bumper Under Cover and more!!!
It drives like a true SUV (not those car feeling SUVs) and sits high (8+ inches of ground clearance) and does not feel like a wagon or hatchback (Honda HR-V) when you drive it. The ride is surprisingly good and handling is confident and we are getting around 26-27 mpg combined driving. You cant find a new SUV with all these Features, Capabilities, Safety, and Warranty for $27,000.00 loaded with everything. The Panoramic Roof is great and lights up with LED Mood Lighting at night (favorite feature). The 710 Watt Rockford Fosgate Audio System is amazing sounding.
We also own a 2015 Mitsubishi Mirage ES CVT that we purchased new and now has 13,600 miles on it and we love it. I wanted a small car that was loaded big car features and options and this little Mitsu delivers! For what I wanted on a small car with every option I could get the Mirage was perfect. We got the top trim ES (2017 top trim is the GT or SE in the Mirage G4 Sedan) with CVT and the optional Navigation & Back Up Camera Package, Chrome Package, Cargo Package, Exterior Appearance Package, Color Keyed Bodyside Moldings, Front & Rear Park Assist Package, and many more Accessories (All Weather Mitsu Floor Mats, Mitsu Shift Knob, Mitsu Factory Center Console Arm Rest and more). All the other cars in the class I looked at cost alot more when loaded out and you could not get alot of the features that the Mirage offered.
For example even the base trim had Auto Climate Control (2017 Base Has Manual Controls), AC, PW, PL, PM, AM FM CD and Ipod Hook Up. On top of all this you get the 10 year 100,000 mile warranty and 37 city and 44 highway mpg and 40 combined. I average 43 in the city and 47 on the highway but can top 50 if careful. Even when you run this car hard and up hills it's impossible to get it below 35 mpg on average (see my videos on my page). Every owner for the most part exceeds what Mitsu claims for MPG ratings which its usually the opposite (my previous 2013 Hyundai Elantra was way worse than MPG rating on Window Sticker).
So I say if you are thinking about a Mitsubishi go for it. The new Outlander Sport is a true feeling SUV with selectable 4X4 with a button (2WD, Auto 4X4, 4X4 Lock) and loaded with features, safety and an amazing warrnaty. Plus for 2016 it had quite a few updates inside to make it more pleasing and updates to smooth the CVT which does wonders over the 2015 model. Also the 2.4L is more widely used now (this engine has great pulling power and works well with the CVT) an overall refinement has improved. Also most Mitsubishi owners love their cars as a girl I work with has a 2011 Lancer with well over 100,00 miles on it and still running strong no issues and she has owned 3 Mitsubishis before that. I know 2 other Mirage owners and same thing, no issues and we love them! You can go to KBB owner review page and see a review of a 2014 Mirage ES CVT with over 220,000 miles and no maintenance besides routine and normal wear and tear items (has pictures of odometer to prove the milage). Mitsubishi is know for making reliable engines and packing in a ton of features per dollar. Also they will be releasing a new Outlander Sport for the 2018 model year (you can see spy shots, its sharp) and a new Outlander not long behind followed by the return of the Large Montero. If you are worried about Mistu leaving the USA they are not the sales have improved over the past few years and keep rising and there are plans for new models so go for it! I am a Mistu owner for life now!
i have one 4 years now and i'm very happy check my video channel , i have many ASX tests i did. check on SamAir77 .
SamAir77 Awsome!!! I will check it out. Glad to hear you like your ASX and it has been a good SUV for 4 years.
K McKenzie let me know your opinion.
SamAir77 Have watched 2 of the videos so far and have really enjoyed them! Awsome! These little SUVs can do more than people think!
K McKenzie damn... i bought my 2016 2.4l rvr ( a.k.a. outlander sport) on october 28th 2016 brand new and could not be happier... i use the paddle shift like if it was a manual transmission vehicule... 1st car that i own that is automatic, that's why i use it like if it was a manual. But great in the snow especially with my 4 winter tires, never got stuck yet and i go playing with it!!! Woot woot
We have seen Subaru stuck in the snow in Lake Tahoe here but Mitsubishi S-AWC still going. Talking about CVT, the Mitsubishi CVT is twin or more better than on the Subaru. We drive in bad weather condition area daily, we know what is really worth and what not. Unfortunately Mitsubishi is going down side and properly it will retreat the Northern America just like the Suzuki. Sad.
Nice cuv. Very reliable also according to consumer reports.
I got the base FWD 2.4 for my wife to commute to work. With the rebates, they are giving these away. It's perfectly fine for normal use and like all new cars, I treat them as disposable appliances. Drive them, wear them out, then get rid of them. With the money I save, I invest in the market.
That's funny ... In Canada it is call the Mitsubishi RVR
Yeah, I was like ''oh that's a RVR''. Then I read your comment and felt less dumb.
that s what i was thinking! I kept telling myself, I swear that's an RVR
in Brazil they call Mitsubishi ASX
Same in Australia it's call ASX. Outlander is the bigger one.
in El Salvador is call ASX too
Outlander Sport is quicker 0-60 than the CR-V in their TFL tests, and it is cheaper and has a longer warranty.
Spec out a Honda or Toyota and see what they cost? Mitsubishi is a high value vehicle. Hard plastics and aged style dashboards for sure. Mine lasted 10 years and was still fine when I sold it. Subaru's blow head gasket like $200 hookers. Nathan gets what these vehicles are all about. Roman likes high end rides and that's OK. Really enjoy TFL for being different.
Why would that snow not get a Subaru stuck? I hate to say it but Mitsu's S-AWC system is more advanced than Symmetrical AWD. The only thing above S-AWC is Audi/Volkswagen Quattro/4Motion
You do not know nothing about AWD the german torsen is worst of alla AWD
TMuuga Hahaha. I have studied haldex awd systems and alternatives. I have also seen demonstrations such as real world and roller tests right before my eyes. Symmetrical AWD isn't the best because Subaru claims it is. I have a friend who has a 2013 Forester and his SUV couldn't do a twist ditch situation. Meanwhile our old 2010 Outlander GT could and 2014 Tiguan could.
I believe the regular Outlander has the AWD system you're referring to. The Outlander Sport has a less advanced system.
y2kbug77 Are you sure? You could be right. I had a 2010 Outlander GT and the AWD system was OK.
This isn't an Outlander. There are only a few countries where it's called the Outlander Sport. Most places it's just known as an RVR or ASX. Not sure why Mitsubishi felt the need to associate it with the Outlander here in America.
Roman, Nathan, I am pretty sure you guys are trying to drive too fast in the snow. I was nervous just watching the video! Remember when you floored the Infinity on the ice covered Loveland Pass. Too much right foot. I'm afraid for your lives. jeez your in Colorado.
i have an outlander sport/rvr/asx ive put bfgoodrich all terrain ko2 on and i went up a mountain on an unplowed logging road ..i was pushing snow with the bumper going up hill get rid of those all season tire before you do a review of snow performance ..i mean most place in canada its illegal to have all season tires in winter
These guys genuinely get on each other's nerves and it's hilarious.
In the US this is the Outlander Sport. Also known as the RVR in Canada and ASX elsewhere. This is not an Outlander but an Outlander SPORT. No mistakes. Also it is available with a 2.4l engine with 175 HP and more torque. It also has a half decent 700+W Rockford Fosgate sound system like Nissan uses. Great value for the price and the best warranty in the business.
CREEPER ALERT!!! behind the driver seat. 5:31!!
Never wanted to bitch slap Roman until I watched this review.
Guys, get at least decent snow tires this will make huge difference. Now you try to drive in deep snow with crappy M+S (summer pattern) tires.
I've owned mine now for 6 yrs and have put 127k on it been a great little SUV
Haha, even in that deep snow, he could not get the Outlander stuck! Woohoo!
Interesting, what u guys have an outlander is what we call the ASX down under. The outlander is actually a medium sized cross over in Aus. Not sure how you guys got in but, I couldnt even get in the back seat of an ASX at 5 ft 10
Out of all these car based crossover suvs I'll take a Jeep Cherokee Trailhawk edition anyday. Only downside is they are really expensive and Chrysler will most likely have problems with the eraly models of their pentastar engines.
I completely agree. Cherokee trailhawk is awesome but the reliability of chrysler is the major no go for me.
Noel Ebbert
the transmissions are already causing problems for the new cherokee
My96XJ what problems have they had? I've had mine for 2 months and i just hit 3,000mi today and no problems yet:D
Clay Martin
my neighbor has a trailhawk and its been at the dealership 8 times because of the transmission not working properly, and hes not the only one having issues with it, seems to be a issue with the Cherokee in general
You guys should do a mash up with this and a cx-5
Nathan and his "Mishubishi" pronounciation. I will say you guys have been getting better with the reviews. Especially your newer reviews.
IT LOOKS LIKE you didn't put the proper shoes, it would have been a much better test
Useless review, it is a nice car, own one.
My grandma payed cash for this today. After watching this im pretty confident.
ok, where are your winter tires? give us a break, we can see those tires you are using are all season, which are not the same as snow or winter tires
Why you use Nexen tires? They are awful! I wse them, and last winter they didn't grip at all!
I order this Mitsubishi, but in winter I will put Michelin Alpin!
Definetely Roman it's a Mitsu HATER! Lol. You forget the besta part, that this CUV it's made it in USA. Are you guys are going to review the Outlander (the regular) soon?
Actually Roman loves the EVO and he's pissed that Mitsu for not building any more.
The Fast Lane Car Really? Lol He don't shows that... I'm insist, he hate Mitsu cars, period.
What's with the stupid comments about plastic fenders?
They have clear advantages over metal ones: lighter, cheaper and if they take a hit they'll bounce right back to original shape with some heat.
@tfl car, can you guys do a review of this vehicle in the mud and gravel? Thanks
Haha. The patience wearing thin in the front seats while crawling up that snowy hill.
you guys should take this up the ike gauntlet!!!!!!! PLEASE!!!
Compare the Outlander Sport to the Honda Accord Sport.
The Honda is world class according to the mags. I have both.
Inside the Engine and CVT sound the same in both. Yes really.
You will never buy this Mitsu if you sit on here and listen to most reviews.
Nathan had great points and was very fair.
I walked out with a 2014 AWD SE with All Weather Package for just over $20K.
Its a real bargain. I bought it for my parents ( 75 & 80 ) who need a dependable
safe car with the room of an old Chevy Blazer they sold.
I passed on Subaru? Why? Subaru has maintenance bills even higher then Audi and the warranty is not as good. Do the research yourself.
The front seats in the OS. is the best of the last 7 cars I had recently. Really nice for a person with back problems. These also get the EPA mileage or better.
For the price its a steal.
Do you even know how to drive on snow? You're not supposed to floor it..
I know this is off topic, but has anyone done a review on tire chains? What brands are good, ease of install/uninstall, and how they are at speed?
car, all wheel drive system, those things dont matter as much as what kind of tires are on it.
happy new year Nathaniel:)
by the looks of the "mud and snow" tire they should stay on the pavement
You would have liked it with proper winter tires instead of that cheap alternative rental companies buy in bulk for their fleet.
The Outlander Sport competes with the Subaru XV CrossTrek, not the Mazda CX-5. The CX-5 competes with the Subaru Forester.
I like the way this thing looks inside and out, but it really needs a better engine. Both the Rav4 and CRV have close to 40hp more than this for around the same price. Even a base Escape makes more power than this. Then again, the Crosstrek is on par with the Mitsu and it seems to sell fine so what do I know.
CRV, CX-5 (2.0L), XV Crosstrek were all tested (by TFLCAR 0-60 tests). None of them (with AT) was faster than the Outlander Sport. Watch those reviews here in this channel. The HP/weight ratio counts and not the HP itself. Also, the CRV will only provide the 185HP at 7000 rpm. I doubt that the average driver ever goes up that high. In Canada with comparable packages those cost $5K more than the OS.
Great review! But you should have compared it to the XV Crosstrek because they're pretty much direct competitors. I own a Crosstrek and I think it would have been able to handle that snowy trail.
You have never seen Nexen tires before? They are actually really good tires.
How in the world these two guys are friends? You guys personalities are so different. :)
Yea this car 4×4 and 2 liter engine it will be cool for me
Hi I have the same Mitsubishi 2014 rvr put a set of tires on I have a set of Michelins defender I drive thought any snow or mud
I have 4wd ASX and I drive 20-30cm snow as if it's nothing.
4:04 😂 staged “are you rolling ? Nathan DONT GET STUCK!”
Needs snow tires it's too light and those on road tires are too wide for that work.
Roman's a micro-manager - holy moly - poor Nathan!
Hey, what happened with the video quality? Interlaced again?
I'd like to see a mash up between this and the CX5
Lets get the Trailhawk up there please. And Bring a raptor and see if the trailhawk can tow it. Lets have some fun up there why don't cha.
Hi Roman & Nathan, how about taking XV Crosstrek for snowy offroad next?
Tires sucked on that CUV. My 2004/5 RAV4 5sp manual with Nokian WR SUV3 winter tires has tackled snow that deep with no problems. Of course it has the old school full time 4wd with visous auto lock. Never got stuck yet with that little light off roader.
